They're so excellent. Oh L'Amour will always remind me of summer time pool parties and innocent fun...summer in the 1980s when I was a kid. I feel sad to think that there are people who don't have great childhood memories to return to or who cynically, inappropriately and bitterly bring politics and the greater world's misery into a simple conversation filled with gratitude for the small and lovely universe that a suburban immigrant child enjoyed. I'm terrifically grateful and hope everybody reading this in the future has some simple sensory triggers that remind them of how unbelievably lovely their life is or definitely WAS at certain times in the past. People like them better because they bring more modern and innovative vibe, that the new listeners appreciate more than the 70's original version. Happens to almost every cover version of an oldie hit! That's why artists do them, as an homage and also to bring these gem back from history into current times and give them a new shiny clothes and makeup. Like here literally! LOL!
This is one of the best and funniest, most committed homage covers I've seen, right up there with "You Spin Me Right Round (Like a Record)" by Paul Rudd and Jimmy Fallon.
