  • The final of the Chambers Militant to be covered on 40k Stories, the Deathwatch are the force devoted to combatting the various alien races across the galaxy. Spread across the galaxy in their various Watch Fortresses, they have a broad range of weapons and tactics capable of handling almost any xenos foe the Inquisition send them against.

    The Deathwatch RPG is excellent! The FFG Deathwatch books has tons of lore. If you want to play a Space Marine in an RPG, check out Deathwatch!

    The death watch should be the future for the space marines in the way they function and fight wars. I think that the blending of chapters, tactics and styles of warfare into modern day legions think how powerful that would be. That gunship the blackstar is one of my favourite vehicles it just looks so cool plus it has a really good load out

    Nice, always liked the Deathwatch. Great storytelling as usual. They're kind of like SEAL Team 6 or Delta Force of Space Marines, right?
    And I wonder what it'd be like if Deathwatch were to have some Primaris Marines?

      King Baldwin IV So you going to forget the time Ragnar Blackmane decapitated a Dark Angel Captain?

    • @kingbaldwiniv5409
      @kingbaldwiniv5409 6 лет назад

      The Eternal Chronicler, no, but it is Ragnar. He should have been put down like a sick dog long ago.
      This is almost exactly like what happened in the Leman Russ primarch novel. Russ went and personally apologized to the Lion.
      Ragnar is a loser and should have been put in his place by Logan Grimnar.

    • @kingbaldwiniv5409
      @kingbaldwiniv5409 6 лет назад

      The Eternal Chronicler, he is also a badly written character.

    • @theeternalchronicler3072
      @theeternalchronicler3072 6 лет назад

      King Baldwin IV bullshit. Ragnar is not a badly written character, especially in his solo book. He reminds me of a lot of Russ in 30k and that is never a bad thing.

    • @kingbaldwiniv5409
      @kingbaldwiniv5409 6 лет назад

      The Eternal Chronicler, he is NOTHING like the Wolf King.
      He is an emotionally string-pulled, manipulatable, failure waiting to happen.
      Are you familiar with Iceclaw in Sanctus Reach? He completely loses it to rage, nearly loses the entire engagement by himself.
      He is a Jarl, not a pup, though he acts like a blood claw. Ogvi or Skarsi, those were Jarls!
      Ragnar is a sign of the wolf time, how sick the Rout is. It needs to be purged. He should still be a pack leader learning from his elders.
      If I were a wolf priest, he would not be a jarl.

    They apperently do have scouts aswell because In Dawn of War 2 when you first encounter the Tyranids Cyrus said he already encountered them once "in his time in the Death Watch" and Cyrus being a scout in the future events that happen in DoW 2 he couldn't have been a full fledged battle brother back then

    • @D3sToD3s
      @D3sToD3s 6 лет назад +3

      Officers of the scout company are usually veterans. Cyrus being ex death watch plays into that rather nicely.

    • @Rheinguard
      @Rheinguard 6 лет назад +3

      Cyrus is a veteran marine. Not necessarily a scout. He probably specialized in skunkworks and high priority target assassination.

    Hark ye, who are pure in the eyes of the Emperor. Hark now, as I, your loyal Orator, recite this, the Apocryphon Oath, of one of His most holy Space Marines.
    Let it be known by all dominions, powers and authorities, that the bearer of this seal, Brother Michael of the Tactica Imperialis, has taken the most sacred Apocryphon Oath, and has been seconded to the Deathwatch until such time of his death, or until the specifics of his oath shall be considered and proclaimed to be discharged.
    On the honor of your chapter, your Primarch, and the Emperor, you are sworn to destroy the Alien, confront the myriad enemies of the imperium, and obey the most solemn vows of the Apocryphon Conclave. You will watch in the dark places, you will safeguard the night, and annihilate the vile xenos and bring unto them the judgment of mankind. You will stand as the bulwark upon which the Imperium persists, from now, unto the ending of the universe.
    The bearer of this oath will be accorded the utmost honor in word and deed. Let all know that the gaze of the Emperor and the blessed Primarchs shall follow the bearer wherever he deigns to tread, so that even in death, they shall know his name.
    So it is sealed, by word, blood and deed, by the grace of the Apocryphon Conclave, the Deathwatch, and the Senatorum Imperialis.
    To be Unclean that is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Impure that is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Abhorred That is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Reviled That is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Hunted That is the Mark of the Xenos
    To be Purged That is the fate of the Xenos
    To be Cleansed For that is the fate of all Xenos
    We bring justice by sword, by shell, by flame. In his name, suffer not the alien to live!

    One nitpick: You didn't mention the black shields.

    • @TacticaImperialis
      @TacticaImperialis  6 лет назад +3

      The Blackshields as I know them are from the Horus Heresy era, rather than being part of the Deathwatch afterwards, unless I'm missing something?

    • @Daimon-X

      Flame Falcon named Gherak signed on as a Deathwatch Blackshield.

    • @lightningcat82
      @lightningcat82 6 лет назад +2

      Blackshields are those space marines that join the Deathwatch after painting over their home chapter insignia. They have for whatever reason given up their chapter parentage. Some may be lone surviviors of a lost chapter. Others could be repentant renagades. While it could be that they have been effectively kicked out, or quit their home chapter for some reason. The exact reason is different for each one, and they must convince a watch commander of their loyalty and desire to join. It is likely, not all who try to become Blackshields survive the interview. Like the dreadnaughts, they never go home, but it is because they have no home to return to.

      I'm using the secondary source of the Deathwatch RPG for my information, specifically, the Rites of Battle book. I do not know where more information can be found for them from primary sources.

    Did they ever figure out how to re erase engineer the Orkoid teleportation technology? If so, why didn't they replicate it for widespread use? It clearly far outstrips any Waro based FTL technology.

    Tactical Imperialis i love your lore videos but just a suggestion, i think you should think about investing in a new mic, like maybe a AT2020 or something. The quality of your voice can make your channel sound more "profession" in a way.
