Shelee Bloom Spin Journey- Changing things up a bit!

- Hello Everyone! Today I am changing things up a bit! I am doing a Shelee Art Bloom Spin. I have been watching @WaterfallAcrylics for some time now and have always loved her Deconstructed Blooms. I have been looking to expand my range a little bit and wanted to really try something that would be challenging and fun and NEW!!! This is my first real attempt at a bloom other than blowing out on some small tiles for practice. I felt like they were too small to really practice my hairdryer technique though so I decided to get out a small canvas. This was definitely a challenge and something that was a VERY HUMBLING experience. I'm so glad I didn't give up though because now I have my #tlp pigments and am excited to give them a go with this technique. I hope you enjoy this tutorial. I think this one turned out pretty cool in the end but I need you guys to let me know in the comments what you think of it. Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions of what you want to see or have any questions. I do read every comment and answer each and every question. Please enjoy!
Thanks to all these wonderful creators who's videos I have studied endlessly to learn this technique:

My 1st Shelee Bloom!! Thanks for watching, liking, subscribing & commenting!! ❤️
Thanks for the shoutout Tara! Pretty results! Quick note on the blowout: the straight down with the hairdryer into the puddles works best on smaller substrates (4-6 inches) or by mouth. Blow the CA a little bit sideways across your puddles and you’ll be able to carry the cells/lacing out farther. I’m going to a “how to use the hairdryer” video soon for larger pieces. Amazing effort and you’ll have this down in no time! ❤️
Thanks Karen! I’ll take any tips I can get! As far as the hair dryer…old habits die hard! I am so used to holding it that way for they way I blow out my Dutch pours that I just ran back to that. I knew in my head from watching you that that’s what you do but…yea…so many things to remember. It kinda reminds me of golf a little. I have to tell myself…head down, arm straight, breathe, soften your grip…EVERY SINGLE TIME I hit the ball…I need to have a mantra to say when I start these to remind me until they are old hat and I can go on auto pilot like I do my pearl pours… sorry for the ramble…lol. Thank you for all you do and I REALLY look forward to trying your deconstructed bloom sometime soon. 👍☺️❤️
Absolutely GORGEOUS!
LOVE how the outer parts are kind of Misty looking.
Love the colors. Aqua is my favorite color.
You can start a New Bloom Version- YOURS!
I LOVE THIS LOOK!
PLEASE DO MORE LIKE THIS.
I think I Like it Better than the regular Bloom.
The ways the colors flow out is so pretty.
Thank you so much Judy! You are so kind! A lot of my blooms are done this way! Check out my other bloom videos! 🙏🏻❤️😊
I am at a point that do not get surprized when you casually create something so beautiful. It is the talent you have and your humble attitude touches my heart. You made me laugh so much. Now I am not afraid to scrape it right away.🤣😅🥰 Thank you so much for sharing your journey. Love you Tara
Awww. You are so sweet. You are such a doll and I really appreciate you. 🙏🏻☺️❤️
@@PiecesofTaraArtistry Doll ?Who me? Look who is talking 💖⭐🏅
This last one is great. Stop spinning and tilt some. What a condensed journey you are on, making improvements at a speedy pace!
Thanks Marlynda! I guess when I’m interested in something I just go for it! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Soooo pretty, Tara! I knew you'd be good at blooms! Thanks so much for the mention! 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Lisa. Thanks for all your sharing! Your art is just beautiful! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Thanks so much for the shoutout Tara! I think you did fantastic for your first real bloom (you don’t want to see my first haha!). After you blow it out either with the dryer or your mouth make sure you let everything pop back up before spinning or tilting otherwise your cells will get weird and fall all over each other. Also as you know, just make sure you have enough paint for everything to move so they hold their shapes. You are doing fantastic with it and I can’t wait to see what else you do. 💜💜
Thank you so much Jodie! Any tips you can give me are greatly appreciated. I love your channel and am so grateful for all your advice and sharing. I can’t wait to explore and experiment with this further. 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Love this!!!! Gorgeous colours, beautiful movement, and looks like water colours💙💙💙
Thanks Julie! You are so sweet! This was so fun! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Nice job my friend!! I liked the first one too. The second one is a definite winner. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you my dear…and thank you for all the help, advice and encouragement you gave me on these blooms! I hope you saw I mentioned you in the description box…I swear I had a brain fart when I was naming bloom artists…🤦🏻♀️☺️❤️
I think your first one was gorgeous, I love that Valerie look and it was really beautiful.
Thanks Janice…girl, you are preaching to the choir! 😆 hindsight is always 20/20. Wow do I have a lot to learn! 😂🙏🏻☺️❤️
You did a great job!! The colors are just beautiful together. As long as you learn from each one you will get there. I thought they were all great. Can't wait to see more.
Thanks Claudia! I am constantly learning AND thankfully I’m loving this journey! I so appreciate you coming along. 🙏🏻☺️❤️🙏🏻
Great job Tara! The bloom was the first style I tried. Totally crazy. I wasted so much paints and then I learned it was an advanced style. I am such a hard head that I was determined, determined to master it. I took the class and watched Karen’s destructed blooms. Then I found a few people in RUclips who really helped me. Jodie was one. I agree she has great info and is super helpful if you ask her questions. Totally love watching you though, Tara! Thank you for being you because I think you’re pretty wonderful! 💜💜
Aww. Thanks Maureen you are so sweet! I appreciate all of your super kind words. There are some really talented bloomers out there. I getting ready to do one right now…hope it turns out! 😉❤️🙏🏻
@@PiecesofTaraArtistry lol. Me too!
Hi Tara. Love this. I think it turned out amazing, especially your first attempts. Love the colors. Cant Wait to see more of thee blooms.
Thanks Lori! It was a challenge for sure. I look forward to trying some more! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Thanks Lori! It was a challenge for sure. I look forward to trying some more! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
This is gorgeous! The middle of this bloom is stunning ❤️
Thanks so much Leesah! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Love it, gorgeous love the colours and yes it’s a bloom!!!
Lol! Thanks Sherry. It’s sad, I’m such a novice i don’t even know if it truly is a bloom or not…🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️😆😆❤️❤️
Добрый вечер! Удачи и процветания! Большой лайк за труды
Спасибо!
Love it Tara!! It has your personal touch, which is beautiful 😍😍
Thank you Bonnie! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
When I first started messing with the bloom technique..i felt the same way. It can definitely be tricky. You did great and have fun with all the new pigments!
Thanks Tina! I remember when we talked you expressing that blooms can be frustrating and boy were you right!!! Wowzers! Yea…I just tried to push through the frustration and keep trying. I’m glad I did because it was so fun when I actually got something to happen!! 🤦🏻♀️😆 can’t wait to try the pigments. I will message you but I’m wondering about the colourart pigments which are your go to must haves? 🙏🏻☺️❤️

The learning process is so amazing here. Its not as easy as it looks at all but I think your final bloom in this video was beautiful in spite of the caterpillar. I love that you laugh at yourself! I do it all the time, its such a great anxiety reliever
Thanks so much…yea I am definitely not not a super serious person! I love to laugh…I agree it is a good stress reliever! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
That last one was simply gorgeous! Great work! And thanks for the reminder that no matter what technique we use, it will need practice and we can't give up! Thank you!!
Thanks Katherine. I think that is a very good moral to this story. If you study and practice whatever technique, you will get it eventually…time, patience and diligence. ❤️❤️🙏🏻☺️
I liked the very first one and the last two. They were beautiful. I think the big stretched out cells are cool.
Thanks Joanne! Love the feedback. I actually like the stretched out cells too but I found that those cells were rippled and that’s what I wasn’t too fond of. I am loving hearing what you guys think! Maybe my rippled cells are ok?🤔 ☺️❤️🙏🏻
You don't know how appreciated it was to really hear and see someone voice the struggles we can go through. Last night I spent 6 hours mixing and pouring for pearl pours and it just wasn't it. I knew i messed up my original mix of base coat which had me laughing, i went to add flotrol and grabbed the water instead. Way too much water way too fast. I thought i could rectify it and scraped my first pour 3 times before remixing and getting something i liked, however i couldn't produce pearls for anything last night smh. I'm just glad i ended up with 4 canvases I can look at and be satisfied even if it wasn't what i was doing.
Hey Lauren…I feel your pain. Sometimes it even happens to me and I have adjust adjust adjust! I have learned to buy little practice canvases and try it on them first before I go to bigger ones because sometimes the colors just won’t work for pearls or the paint I use as my base color with satin enamel is too heavy and won’t pop to the top or my pour over color is to light and won’t sink to make the pearls…so I scrape and adjust! It is not an exact science. It could be the density of the paints that you are using that is the problem! 🤷🏻♀️🤪☺️
Tara - your video was so perfect for where I'm at. I get frustrated too but I'm not as experienced in the pearl pours or dutch pours as you, so the frustration is bad bad !!! ha! You are right.......the last one you did is PERFECT because of the fluid colours and cell action and it DRIED so well ! I'm going to be following you !!
Thanks Suzi! I have found that studying consistencies and asking lots of questions of experienced RUclipsrs has helped a ton! The Shelee Art Facebook Group is a really great resource too. I really hope you have success!! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
So gorgeous.. Love the final result My dear friend... Keep creating such amazing contents.. It's so beautiful ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️☺️🙏🏻
Tara you did great with this!! I love the teaching moments in this video. I took the course and I will definitely check out the videos in the group.
Thanks Doris. Yea I feel like the extra videos are the real value to us here in the US right now! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
I like caterpillars in bloom paintings. :)
Lol. I apparently don’t mind them either but I know some people aren’t fond of them. I actually think it looks more like a butterfly body with no wings…lol! 🐛🙏🏻☺️❤️
Love this Tara!
So beautiful!
So ethereal! 😍
Thanks Shahana! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Love this Art.!! I am New in it. Danke für die Hinweise in der Beschreibung Top
Thanks you! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
I love it! The “caterpillar” looks like a seashell to me. Good job! I’m still struggling.
Thank you so much Nan! Have you watched any of the Facebook lives that are in the Facebook group? They are so helpful! I think more helpful than the actual course. I will be doing another bloom video shortly. I will try to be as detailed as i can. ❤️🙏🏻☺️
Just gorgeous Tara! Love your videos and you work is amazing ❤️
Thanks Cathy. You are such a sweet lady! Thanks for your support! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Looks great and you had fun! I can tell! 😊
Thanks Deb! It was fun!! I was so happy do go in a little different direction for a minute! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Looks great! Nice colours Tara!
Thanks Mira! Guess my color profile is a bit predictable! 😆❤️🙏🏻
This looks Amazing chica!! Nice job!!! 👍🤗🥳
Thanks Jessie!! ❤️❤️
That is sooo pretty. ; however I am still trying to copy your cells oh how intrigued I am with your thin paints
Thank you Virginia! Don’t worry. I will be doing the pearl pours still. I just needed a little break. I’ll be back at it very soon. ☺️❤️🙏🏻
Both were beautiful
Thank you Marjorie! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
I love it Tara...soft and stunning 😍 💙💙💙

It's beautiful Tara 💕
Thanks Lori! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Beautiful. Love your work
Thank you Shirley! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Each of those creations were great. Maybe stop spinning earlier or spin less aggressively, but you are right on track to be great. Each piece was lovely
Thanks so much!! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Im subscribed to your channel and just now saw this. Not sure why I didn't see it months ago 🤔 Anyway, I think you did a great job... the colors are really pretty 👍 thanks for sharing your experiments, it's important & helpful learning for each other, in our crazy fun community 💌🐾
Thank you so much! I appreciate so much your sweet words. I love sharing what I have learned along the way because I know how much I appreciated when others did the same along the way. ❤️☺️🙏🏻
Lovely!
Thanks Pam! ❤️☺️🙏🏻
I think it's gorgeous 😍 💕
Thanks Katherine! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
It’s gorgeous! 💖😊
Thanks Darlene! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Fantastic artwork! Stay connected.
Thank you so much. Your work is just beautiful! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Beautiful tara ! I have had a terrible time with the blooms. Not that it’s stopped me from buying the pigments!! I took the course in the very beginning but never joined the Facebook group. Sounds like that may have been my biggest mistake. Thank you for sharing this❤️
Thank you so much Joanne! Seriously…the Facebook group is amazing and all the extra videos that you get are invaluable. If I went only off of the original course I would not have succeeded. Here in the US we have way too different paint brands and pouring mediums. I also gleaned so much info from US and Canadian artists that have access to so many of the same products that I could “copy” their recipes or at least get a good idea of where to start. If you ever have any questions please let me know! I’m always happy to help. 🙏🏻☺️❤️
Love it !
Thanks Tomasina! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
It is beautiful, Tara! I love the soft edges. And you are so brave to show your “failure”, you did not have to. I’ve purchased the course and need to take it. The Painted Dreamer is fabulous-she loves to experiment and do the “dirty work” for us. Great job!!
Thanks Kathy! I totally agree! I love experimenters like her. It’s so helpful for us “newbies” out here! And look…I learn as much from the failures as I do the successes so I like to pass that info on and hopefully it will be helpful to someone else. As far as the course goes…it’s great but it is very driven to the Aussie products. The Facebook group is more driven to the international products. In my opinion that is the true value in the course right now. ☺️❤️🙏🏻
Stupendo il secondo ( ultimo) lavoro. Bellissimi colori . Un ottimo risultato. Ho iniziato a cimentarmi anch'io in questa tecnica ma con scarsi risultati. Un po' per i materiali diversi che trovo in Italia, un po' per la poca pratica nel preparare i colori. Ma non mollo! A presto! Aspetto altre opere. Ciao. Rosanna
Grazie Rosanna. Questa tecnica è un po' impegnativa per me da fare con i prodotti statunitensi, quindi posso solo immaginare con quelli al di fuori degli Stati Uniti. Per favore, continua a sperimentare. Pagherà!
Yay Tara! I'm going to be living vicariously through you on this painting journey...but I'm excited to see you put your special touch on it🤗. I love your bloom! It's soft, interesting and ethereal...I believe that is the way it supposed to be. If I might be so bold🙄, I would suggest Niki D from Australia. I watch her because she does such interesting and fantastical work, that even though I don't do blooms she is great to watch. Plus she is a really nice person. Well, I'm excited for you and I know you are going to create great art! Away we go...😊🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 p.s. I hope your dad joins you on this journey. He always has a great and unique perspective 😊
Thanks Tera! In fact I LOVE Niki D. In my description box I name her as one of the amazing artist creators that have been so helpful on this journey. For some time we have followed each other in our art journeys. Thanks for the heads up. That is a great recommendation and I always appreciate recommendations. I really appreciate you and love seeing your work as well! Much love gal! 🙏🏻☺️❤️
I liked the first pour. It was different... so beautiful. Doesn't have to look like everyone else. I can't get Autralian Floetrol unless I pay $80. Canadian and buy from Fluid-Art web site. so it seems like SheleeArt definately cornered the market on this one. We are all forced to buy Australian Floetrol or just not bother to learn this. 😐 it's so hard to watch and know you can't get the same results. So bummed
Sandie you can use American floetrol as well in this technique. There are many RUclips artist that use American floetrol instead. Here is a link to a couple of artists:
Sheldon Briscoe ruclips.net/video/cHfqkTCS1Uw/видео.html
The Painted Dreamer ruclips.net/video/l67Y-3mQ_Ac/видео.html
Hi Tara, my name is Denise deGuzman I was wondering three parts of Australian Floettol . Do you measure the Floetrol. So you measure the 3 parts of the cell activator ?
Hi Denise! Yes I do measure the floetrol and paint out. I’m a measurer by nature! I love a recipe…😆. You can do that any way you want. If you only need a small amount you can measure in teaspoons or tablespoons. For example - 1 tsp paint + 3 tsp of Aussie Floetrol. Hope this helps! ☺️🙏🏻❤️
The difficulty of this technique was too much for me last year when I tried it..maybe ill give it another try
Try watching those two videos I linked in the description box. They are very helpful! ❤️

Hi. I enjoyed this immensely as I am trying to learn how to do these acrylic pours and I loooove the way you do yours. Buuut, your captions cover up the paints you use and so forth. Ugh!
Hi Natasha. Thanks for your kinda words. The captions are something that you turn on or off on your end…not mine. You have to turn them off in your settings. ❤️🙏🏻☺️
