  • Hello Everyone! Today I am changing things up a bit! I am doing a Shelee Art Bloom. This “Deconstructed Bloom” that Karen Durishin ‪@WaterfallAcrylics‬ has come up with is a technique that is specifically one of my absolute favorite blooms. As I have noted in the past…I have been watching her for some time now and have always loved her Deconstructed Blooms. I have been looking to expand my range a little bit and wanted to really try something that would be challenging and fun and NEW!!! This is my first attempt at a deconstructed bloom. This was definitely a challenge and something that was a VERY HUMBLING but extremely fun. I’m loving these TLP Pigments also. I hope you enjoy this fluid art tutorial. I think this one turned out pretty cool in the end but I need you guys to let me know in the comments what you think of it. Also, please let me know if you have any suggestions of what you want to see or have any questions. I do read every comment and answer each and every question. Please enjoy!

    Holy fast learner! Nailed it and the dried results are gorgeous! These are tricky buggers to tilt too-you did a great job! To get your cells/lacing to travel farther out from the center, hold your hairdryer at an angle rather than blowing straight down into the middle like we do for smaller blooms. Thanks for the shoutout!!

    I like it when you show the real process of learning to do something and that you mess up just like us beginners. A lot of people make it look so easy and have beautiful outcomes all the time. It’s not easy and it’s trial and error till you get everything right. You have a lot of choices with blooms. Blow them out big, wreck them, blow out small so they look like flowers, deconstruct them, whatever you want to do. So wing it and have fun with it is all we can do while we practice. The colors in this are beautiful 🤩 and I love how it dried. It’s a beautiful painting.

      Thank you so much Joanne! Those are sage words of advice! I fail often. My thoughts are if you don’t fail you aren’t growing and learning. I try to show that as often as I can! Thanks for your support! ❤️🙏🏻☺️

    This turned out so gorgeous - I love the rich colours. 🥰💖
    I so appreciate it when an artist shows the struggle they go through - it makes it so much more real and encourages the rest of us, even though we might not all get the hang of it as quickly as you.

    Girlfriend you have arrived! And the marching band is playing your tune! Where to begin 🤔😁? Your color pallet is off the charts! When they melded together it came up with the most gorgeous shades of blue,green and purple! I bet Niki and all the bloom greats are amazed at how quickly you went from "learning" paintings to "You got this girl!" When my husband saw this painting he said, "now this is the kind of art you want hanging on your walls! It's so much more interesting than a vase of flowers or something like that." I'm so thrilled for you Tara. You are creating a new style of art, having fun, and probably exceeding your own expectations. You go girl! Can't wait to see what you do next! I'll be here cheering you on😊. Happy New Year to you and your dad!🎆🎆🎆🍾🎆🎆🎆🍾

    Thank you so much for showing the "reality" of learning or perfecting fluid art styles!! Its hard. Its not just throwing paint on a canvas and calling it ART! It takes skill, patience and endurance to master most fluid art. I enjoy it but its nice to see that im not the only one painting " myself in to a corner" occasionally. Happy New Year! Beautiful job on the second version and beautiful job working so hard on the first. Means a lot to see I'm not alone with the challenges. Thank You.

    I really enjoyed watching the whole shebang and your learnings. I love your color palette and how the paints interacted together and I like that you used the spinner in the 2nd rendition as a way to turn the canvas around vs. picking it up to rotate it-I'll have to try that, looks like a great idea! Nicely done! Really pretty.

    So that is what a small puppy pool looks like. I ordered the large one and then tried twice to order the small pool, only to receive 2 additional large pool. One they didn’t charge me for, when they were to send the right size. Will be cutting the pool down and taping it into a small. Good thing the pool cost me $15 on sale.The other will be used to pendulum pouring my son in law wants to try next.

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  Год назад +1

      Thanks Sandra! So a bloom is typically spin out so that the cells stay in tach but a deconstructed bloom is stretched and tilted until it really is no longer recognizable as a typical bloom. Hope that makes sense. 🙏🏻☺️❤️

    Tara where did you get your puppy pool at the one I got off at Amazon's 31 in in diameter it barely holds a 10x20 canvas but I've noticed yours and I can't remember who else is like get skinnier at the bottom like it wouldn't take up near the space if you'd be so kind and put where in the brand of your puppy pool maybe appreciated and you did pretty good for your first deconstructive loan colors are beautiful.

    I cannot get cells with that depth, do you think color layering plays a role? Like should it go dark on top of light then dark ....or dark to a gradual lighter shade ?

    • @PiecesofTaraArtistry
      @PiecesofTaraArtistry  2 года назад

      To be honest I’m not exactly sure but In the technique shelee recommends tube paint on bottom and no more than two pigments in between tube paints and a tube paint below the cell activator. I always try my colors out on a test tile to see if they work together. If I notice something isn’t working I change up the layering. I’m just a beginner bloomer still but I say…just experiment…play with the layering and see what happens. 🙏🏻☺️❤️
