You left a few important points out when installing the inlet manifold, it’s a good idea to check or replace your DTIs whilst the manifold is off, also there is a correct process to install the injectors so they don’t leak, also the black metal injector covers from the plastic manifold And the top cover don’t fit the red manifold 😁
Did you ever get final results of the gains? This is something Id like to do in the future as well but so far I haven't seen concrete evidence of actual hp gains. Right now I'm looking to do the grams 72mm throttle body instead. THAT seems to have decent gains. What are your thoughts?
I would get one of these but since I’m supercharging using an Edlebrock kit, it replaces the entire manifold.
Great video Johnny. I almost got my manifold off before I called it a day. Did you pull the fuse to run the fuel out or just pull the lines. It is not an easy spot to wiggle things oit

What year model was the frs? So I’m guessing from this video if you can source the 2017+ intake manifold you can install it on a pre2017 86/brz and essentially be on par with the 2017 models? Power wise?
The FRS is a 14", Yes you are correct, They have the exact same engine, nothing has changed apart from the intake material. The 2017 intake will have more airflow as its ported and will require a tune.
@@JonnyBarajas 2017 engine updates include revised heads, valves and exhaust manifold, according to Engineering Explained.
Did you install a solenoid for evap system under the manifold?
After a year of running this intake manifold do you think it is worth it? I’m thinking of purchasing and swapping out the stock plastic one when I install the jdl kit (since I already have to take it off to clamp the hoses) but I’m not sure if it is worth the price tag.
You buy it for the looks ultimately, flows a bit better, but you won't see any significant power gains if you are going turbo.

Question: Thinking about getting a carbon fiber hood and was wondering if they come with the latch in the middle. Looking online at different places that sell them, some recommend installing hood pins also. I really don’t wanna do that so that why I was wondering if they come with the hook in the middle, thanks.
They do have a stock location middle hood latch, but they tend to rip right off and fling your hood onto your windshield. Have installed many hood pins after this happened to multiple people on a seibon hood. Maybe try a more premium brand for your hood.
Is the new intake manifold taller than our factory ones?
Did you have to clean out anything g from the engine when you removed the plastic I take manifold. I cleaned as best I can and got alittle sand dropped in. So iam wondering how I cam get it out. So iam thinking of spraying a flushing agent or wd 40 or something while vacuuming it back out as well. Did you double check nothing fell down or have to clean anything

This intake flows better, I had to retune the AFRs to get my car running right.
Would it fit a non Manuel car ?
Both versions are identical apart from the transmission. This is an automatic frs.

Why no heatwrap on the down pipe ?
At least it's ceramic coated.
I'd be weary of the damage to the belts and the harmonic balancer over a long period of time.
Is this CARB legal?
Ft86 speed factory says it's not, and won't ship to CA. I was hoping some one on here would know.

AHS95 Its actually really good for drifting, a lot of pros use this platform, and with the 500whp mine is pushing its actually pretty easy to drift it. I wonder what car you have... I hope its a real car as well.

I have had both of those cars, the is300 is just as fast stock and the 370z is nothing special.
