As much as I LOVE the design of this watch... But $1200+ Cad for a watch that doesn't have sapphire, bullshit 3atm rating and a Japanese movment that really Insnt that great...for $550 I can have a Hamilton Khaki automatic with sapphire top, Swiss moment and 10atm.
Wow the responses you guys give it's amazing. Everybody has a different taste on watches. If this is your thing then it is, and if not then not. There are a lot of options in every price range. I have 2 fridays, and i am very proud of wearing them. I have watches from 500 to 6000 and every watch that i wear, i wear with pride! It's the feeling for a watch that gets the person wearing it. And this one for me and a lot of people ticks it. Choose what you like and what give you that feeling, and please stop commenting on watches you never seen in real life.

I bought this watch in Dubai and I think it's fantastic. It feels much more expensive than it is. Certainly it feels more expensive than any Hamilton or other watches at a similar price point. It's closest competitor is Dietrich Luxury watches but I prefer SevenFriday.

Noticed this about many "avant garde" watches; the watch bands cannot be replaced with any old replacement---usually has to be direct from manufacturer. I had a watch that the band cost more to replace than the watch!!
Ariel, probably you should have mentioned something about their marketing and advertising tactics. As I am to understand SevenFriday did not do it the conventional way, but rather purely through social media like Instagram? Also with the help of some other watch guys like WatchAnish.
I’ve whittled my collection down to two dress watches and g shock- all of which rarely get worn. And then a Sinn104abe as my daily wearer although hoping to get an Explorer to take the Sinn’s place as the daily wearer. I can see the allure of the P1 and maybe a Meistersinger no.2or3 as quirky watches to add to the ultra classic simplicity of the Explorer. I’ll probably wear the Explorer 25 days a month but for the odd occasion I want something a bit playful or left field these watches are great. 20 years ago I had a vintage datejust that I wore all the time but every now and then I’d wear a Corum bubble - there’s a place in a collection for odd watches in my opinion. I get that people are saying you can get better watches for the money but you can pick these up cheaper and if I bought a Hamilton, Christopher ward or Seiko for the same price I don’t think I’d ever pick it instead of the Rolex. But this I would.
I got one of this for a couple of weeks, It is giant¡ but it is really well done and nice, I was very surprised with the quality of the watch. I sold it really fast but I have a really good opinion about the brand. If you like really big watches this is a must in my opinion.
The p301 looks pretty sick... but the p101 is nice too damn. Looks very rugged. I like rugged look. Wish I knew more about watches. But I would definitely buy this watch for design.
I bought this watch because I got a special tax free price ($940) at that time and I still regret buying it. This piece of shit have it's parts falling out of the movement and then failed to keep time accurately. This piece of shit are for people with money who don't know anything about watches. It is equipped with a cheap Japanese miyota movement, little to no waterproofing case, mineral glass instead of sapphire glass and no decoration or whatsoever on the movement. For a £900 plus watch, I would expect better build quality. The fact that it is only 30m water resistant an d the fact that parts are imported from Japan and china, doesn't exactly make it a good watch. My Invicta Reverse Venom is infinitely better than this.

DeFyPie "bro", where do you get that information? The movement is made in japan by Miyota. I also have the P1 and regret it so much after buying it. Horrible crap. After 6 months of usage small bits of the inner part fell and comes out of the dial.

I would never pay 1000 usd for a watch with Miyota movement. If i go for a Japanese timepiece, Seiko SARB033 has better craftsmanship and less than 500 USD. If i go for Swiss, i would buy a descent Steinhart. Sorry but this is not something worth for price.
I got miyota movements that are more accurate than my Swiss.. Don't let Japanese fool you.. The miyota is brilliant for the money.. Super accurate and less service interval than my Swiss 7750 movements.. Citizen is the creator of miyota..

Don't read the CC. It is wrong I think. It should be an automatic movement. Although at this price point, you better buy Oris Aquis or Tudor Black Bay for best bang per buck.
Sorry for my last wrong reply. I was looking at other Seven Friday on differentiating replicas. And got mixed with this one. Personally, I don't recommend spending over a grand on generic Miyota movement, but if the design speaks to you, then it is ok.
