Free plants are the BEST part of having house plants!!! Especially when it's our favorite ones!!!! The burle marx is so beautiful!!!!!and looks great in a glass jar!!! While it's propagating the cuttings are beautiful looking just in water!!!makes a beautiful center piece!!
I'm amazed how easy it is to propagate. I do it with different plants and give them away! The plants seem so happy to get part cut off. They bush out so well then. Who knew you could do this?! Fun!
I love this video. I'll be repotting a lot of my plants this spring. You asked for video suggestions. I'd love to see an extensive tour of Costa Farms. Ah, let Rosie eat 😂.
Seeing your adorable Rosie makes me miss my little Harlow, a Bichon, even more. We had to put her down a week and a half ago after having her for 14 1/2 yrs.😢 Our home just doesn’t feel the same.💔 Anyway……I love all your videos and so many of my plants need repotted and “haircuts”! Winters here in Southern Ohio are hard on my plants. You look beautiful as always. The color of your top looks perfect on you!😊 Blessings 🙏
Excellent video, Carmen. I’d love to see a beautiful thrifted vase holding your stunning cuttings. It would give you greater joy as you watch the roots emerge. Have a fantastic Sunshine State Day.
Thanks Carmen I’m going to propagate a couple of plants an I get nervous but you encourage me so today I will do a couple of plants. 👍thanks again for your channel.😊
Carmen, this was wonderful! I am so happy your burle Marx is looking so wonderful! I could not get mine to grow well. Mine has entered the compost heap over the last few months. He just grew so dense and knotted that I couldn’t keep up maintenance
Hi Carmen and Rosie👋, love a good relaxing repot😊. I absolutely love the tre leaf trellises, my husband bought me a few sets for Christmas, and they are so beautiful. I definitely need to get a few more for spring, I will use your link❤
I’ve been doing plant chores along with you this morning. I found the culprit that had mealie bugs on it. My strawberry begonia. I have been spraying everybody else, but I didn’t spray her because I was afraid it would damage her leaves. So when I picked her up today and I seen Mealies I knew this is the one that started at all, so she got leaves cut off and I’ve been using a Q-tip and alcohol to get all of the mealies off of it. I put the systemic in it so hopefully now I will be to the end of our mealie bug infestation. She will be quarantined and I’ll be cleaning mealies off for a week or two I’m sure. The systemic works but it takes a while.
I have a burle marx thst is 3 ft tall. For the last 4 to 6 m9nths all the new growth has produced smaller leaves. And a leaf on each stem, only the lowest leaf, turns yellow. It is in a low nutrient substrate. I've been feeding it a 9-3-7 fert mix that includes micronutrients. It is being fed according to directions for a maintenance wkly dose. It's actively growing. Could this be too little fertilizer? Or too much? I keep reading conflicting information regarding its nutrient needs. Some articles say it's a heavy feeders, others say it's not. Some say the smaller leaves can be too much fertilizer, others say it's not enough. I'm so confused. It's gets filtered am sun in winter for 5 hrs the rest of the day is indirect.
Are you washing your scissors with alcohol or just plain old soap and water? Also, what type of fertilizer are you using in the water for the cuttings?
I'll give that a try. I've tried using plain old sugar or rooting hormone, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks for the tip! Have an awesome day!

Wow Mark was looking like his own jungle lol I wonder why the variegated arrowhead lost some of its color thank you for sharing
It must not be getting enough light. Which is hard to understand because I have it in a south facing window and under a grow bulb!🤷.
Muy bonitas plantas Carmen 🍀☘️🌱🌿
Gracias Lupita!

My syngonium albo is super leggy but I’m afraid to chop it up to make new plants. ❄️💚🙃

Those darn mealy bugs are so persistent! Good luck!
I get issues with aphids, man, I hate them little buggers! Go chow down outside where other critters can get a meal too!
I love your hair like that.
Thank you! More changes coming soon too!

I had this syngonium I don't know why it lost its varigations. I tried everything : keeping it in semi shade under trees In my garden etc.
It's really strange. I'm not sure what to do with it next.
😊🐶💚🌱.
Hi Carmen. What type of fertilizer did you use in the water to propagate and how much? Thank you.
I use the Elm Dirt Plant Juice. A shot glass worth in a gallon of water. I love it!
@@carmenwhitehead thank you. I will see what I can find here.
Are you washing your scissors with alcohol or just plain old soap and water? Also, what type of fertilizer are you using in the water for the cuttings?
I use rubbing alcohol wipes. I also use Elm Dirt Plant Juice in all of my water.
I'll give that a try. I've tried using plain old sugar or rooting hormone, sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks for the tip! Have an awesome day!
Where you get your trellis 💚🌿💚👍🏽🙏🏽
Here is the original video of staking the Burle Marx and where I got the trellises. Thanks for watching. ruclips.net/video/RnPbPY4RCFI/видео.html
@@carmenwhitehead thank you I just watch it ....n that looks great 👍🏽💚🌴
I just wished some of those philodendrons behaved themselves and not grow all squirrely. ❄️💚🙃
That's a great idea Terri! Thanks so much for stopping by!
