The video shows the band saw blade butt welding process. He took the two broken blades with sheared margins. The two blades were fixed in a fixture. The lever was pressed and electric current for a preset period of time was passed though the two blades. Both ends of the blades got forging temperature and got red hot when the current stop automatically. The hot part got cool and annealing was done again to make it more malleable. The strength of the joint is 25% more than the base metal.
