    Right on man, way to get after it. I think searching for black ice is going to be the next sport for frustrated back country skiiers. You make me want to pick up anchor and move North. Cheers and thanks for posting.

      Thanks for the motivating comment! I constantly feel spoiled in Anchorage. There is a little bit of everything available in the front range just 15 minutes from my house. Backcountry skiing, skating, cross country skiing, awesome fat bike trails, winter camping, you name it! Maybe I can post some videos this winter that persuade you to move! Challenge accepted!

      Ice cracking sounds coming from your immediate area are certainly intimidating and should be respected. I've built up a small tolerance to this having grown up ice fishing.

      There are some adventures that we've used them on in the past where we've Nordic skied and skated. Having the same boot for both makes things super convenient. I look forward to conditions being good this year for making a video of that trip.
