I have had a Team/Ultimate/Pro edition of the last 3 models, but won’t be buying this one. Terrible distributor in Australia, can not get after sales support, and warranty claim declined on a brand new bike that was delivered damaged. Love my Foils, but just can’t be spending this amount of money with the experience I have had
i actually expected scott to discontinue the foil series in favor of addicts. kind of glad they didn't. one of the best aero bikes atm
Love that aerobikes are finally taking comfort into account. If it's going to be heavy and fast, might as well be heavy, fast, and comfy. That being said, 7.1kg is great for an aero machine!

Clever would have been running the light of the Di2 battery imho.
This is just a gimmick that creates yet another non-standard fitment component your forced to purchase from the cycle manufacturer it's not like you can swap it out for a Garmin Varia, or light made by a different manufacturer
@@kidkarbon4775 you can also just not buy the light and just strap on your own light. Their light is an option, not mandatory.
If you want to be mad at something, be mad at all the manufacturers' seatposts and cockpits. Those are the ones that are proprietary, non-standard, and mandatory that you need specifically for your bike to work (as intended).
The light is not needed for the bike to work. You can do anything with lights.
Also, i would rather have more battery life on my gears than a light.

Love everything about this build except those Fidlock bottles. I had them but quickly returned them since unlike a regular bottle where you just have to slide it back into the cage regardless of the bottle's rotational orientation north and south, the Fidlock bottle you have to always orient the bottle so the magnets face south when you snap it back in. There were times where I thought it was aligned but it wasn't and I had to look down away from the road.

I'm a bit of a Scott fan but I've got to say I don't particularly like the look of this new Foil. That seat tube just looks like an afterthought. It's probably a very fast bike though.

Does the top-level HMX S frame the ultimate uses come in a gloss finish? This is a nice looking bike but I hate the trend of matte/bare-carbon on the top-end stuff from so many brands these days. It looks nice for the first five minutes out of the box but is otherwise a PITA to keep looking clean.

I still love my 2013 Scott Foil 20.
I've been in the market for a new aero road bike. I love my Blue AC1SL (except for the cable routing). It's stiff, very agile and light. I have been trying to find something that can exceed it. I found the Cipollini RB1k to be an upgrade however the price is way up there. I rode the trek Madone and the Canyon Aeroad SLX, and for what they cost, I wasn't impressed, I expected much more. I read about the Scott Foil RC, compared the geometry and I am looking forward to test riding one, unfortunately Scott doesn't have a showroom in the USA (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) But I have a feeling the Foil RC might be the winner.
That is seriously one of the sleekest looking bikes I've ever seen.
Do I want one? Yes
Can I afford one? Possible
Could I do the bike justice? Definitely not, bike seems very fast and my legs are not! 😅
It's really interesting; the silhouette looks identical to the previous generation of Foil although from what I can see every single tube is different.
That is a very svelte looking machine, proper treatment too not having to assembler your own bike out of a box unlike someone else. Also it explains why your bike was heavy at the start o the bikepacking trip, you had a groupset and a pair wheels no wonder it was heavy. Enjoy whizzing around on the new Foil. :)
