I did it solo blind as it dropped. Successfully. You talking about doing it on expert solo or? Because solo on normal difficulty is kinda a joke. Because it isn't remotely difficult.
Bungie quest design department is seriously composed of low IQ lobotomized individuals. You need to finish this to get the Act III engram focusing. So, why don't they just say you need to finish NES0008 and tell you how to get it without burying it under retarded nomenclature ? These people need to play their own game seriously.
Ok so after i go through that second part, the only portal open is the one back to the start are, how do we get the portal to that second secret chest?
Yeah I have the same problem as other people. I finished the exotic mission, again, and opened all three chests from last week. Again. But NES008 didn't show up after I finished the mission. So how do you get this?

So can I get the second command frame from this? Or do I need to do the 3rd chest? Sorry for the dumb question this is the first time I tried crafting an exotic (I did this last week on normal and expert and did all the puzzles to get the catalyst)
So, if I am not wrong, you get the first as default when you first get Choir of One (on normal) and second one drops from doing banshee quest (complete Overture on Legend and get the secret chest). Hope this is helpful

Here is a tip when it comes to to those diamond puzzles. Just look where the diamond is point at . You can see if it is point Straight, left or right.

NES008 will drop from this week's chest in Concerto shown in the video, you do not need to finish the mission.
Did you go to failsafe and get the NES008 specimen tracker?

Once you get the specimen from chest, you need to complete the mission and talk to failsafe.

You need to get the quest Choir Upheaval from Spare Parts vendor in the tower first.
I only had the quest which Failsafe gave me. Banshee gives you the whole catalyst quest, which you need to complete Concerto on legend as well.

It's when you get PARTITION module for the first time, just before first boss.
I completed all the puzzles but Failsafe won't give me the quest.
You actually have to click on it in the list of upgrades while talking to her in the HELM. It may not be available if you have never done Encore.
I did what you did and got teleported back to start area didnt get nes008 either
NES008 drops where the chest spawns after defeating the boss. You need to pick it up, it does not auto drop.
