These tend to look really flakey when mixed with clear, but I've noticed of you rub them on like the armored komodo stuff they give a real metallic look
Couple of things. Loved the excitement in your voice when showing, talking about your new paints. And i just ordered that Iwata moisture/dust trap. And your bench is getting invaded, over run by miniature's. I love looking at your bench, room as a whole. Cant wait for the next vid Robert
I've got a box of 36 I bought them after watching one of your earlier videos, most of mine are metallic and pearlesant but they're great , it worked perfectly over my Warhammer necron warriors and I painted up a retro gundam that was pink also
I've been using the powders for about a year and a half now and my goodness the sky is the limits especially when you spray candy over them. Thank you for sharing, everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
Thanks for the tip! I'd played around with brushing on MicaPowders a couple years ago to do Heat Staining on the headers of a Shelby Cobra Model. Just recently (VERY recently) got into AirBrushing, so I'll have to try this out
these remind me of chrome nail powders- you should try putting a clear coat over black with nothing mixed in (black gloss paint then a clear top coat cured past the point of tackiness works best with uv gel nail paints) and then try buffing the mica powder into the clear suface. once they're buffed you can clear coat over top. don't know if it's the same kinda powder but if it is it can make a real nice chrome done right (its a bit tricky to get the right adhesion but if you can it's mirror bright)
Wow. Talk about synchronicity. I purchased those exact same mica powders recently. I got the 144 colour pack. I’m going to make my own paints using acrylic medium, some acrylic stabiliser and a bit of surfactant. I had to import it from Amazon in the US but it was worth it.
I’m so excited for you to be releasing some more paints. I also just ordered to spray brush and the air compressor kit from Gaahleri to upgrade my gunpla painting spree. I’ll let you All know about BarbatosRex s new airbrush
You can mix them in paint BUT they work much better as a top coat. The colors will vary dramatically by the number of coats you apply. As an automotive modeler light coats give the best effect. Once the powder/clear dries you should top coat with clear to enhance the effect of the powder.
I purchased that 63 color box last year. I tested 6 or 7 colors directly onto white spoons. Pretty colors but a bit light for car bodies. I will have to try them over Gloss black. If you are on a budget and want to paint a lot, these can give you lots of practice. I tried mixing the powders with Future but got much better mix with Clear gloss lacquer.
I'm looking forward to your paint line! Thank you for this. I'm going to try using powders. I've learned more about using an airbrush from you, than anyone else. I really want to see you assemble and paint a Gunpla. This weekend I'm hoping to start my first. A Zaku.
Hi, I hope you'll read this. There's a RUclips channel called DipYourCar that's right up your alley. They use they powders (and all kinds of other stuff) to paint cars. They also like to experiment by mixing them up. It's fantastic
you need different types/spectrums of light to see some color effects. incandescent, cfl and halogen all produce light differently. in glass blowing we have uv and cfl reactive glass that will look one color in cfl light, and another in sunlight or glows a different color in uv.
It's an Iwata moisture and dust trap. I just ordered one off if amazon. Two days before Rex's video I was watching a u-tube video about air brush recommended items and that guy was highly recommending them. I've been using the standard Pistol moisture trap. That's what this is as well but it also traps dust. Not cheap $31.xx vers $7.xx for the standard trap.
Super with International shipping, for us in europe thats been patrions since the start of youre patrion have been waiting on it, and can finaly get the paints. Is it so that we in europe now can be part of the giveaways to?
I love your videos and have a request: can you use a mic? Sometimes when you move away the audio gets all jacked up. Guessing you’re using the camera mic?
Awesome Stuff Sir, Excited About Saturday. ❓ Just Got Your " Blackened Blue ll & Copper Fire Will Tamiya TS-14 Be The" BEST " Primer ❓ TIA n GBA 🙏🤗 Gary.
How safe is it to airbrush mica powder? Should you own a certain airbrush booth in terms of air flow/fan power to keep mica powder from covering your space?
Mica powders are great. To bad it is a dirty business, most come from Madagascar, then shipped and processed mostly in China. Cool with new color lineup 🤙
Sorry, but the Quick Shine/Pledge? You me as a clear coat? Is it a clear Acrylic or Oil or Lacquer clear? (Sorry, just started looking into airbrushing and you seemed like the go-to for info. Binging vid's right now) Thanks! ****EDIT: Just saw in the side bar you did a video on it! Thanks!
Does this act as a FINAL TOP COAT mixed in with the mica? Can you use mix this with ACRYLIC PAINTS ( most well known brands)? Can you spray on JUST this clear, more times ( with appropriate dry times) to get a deeper, harder finish!
Wow $20 dollars for 30 colors, you cant buy 30 empty hobby jars for $20 bucks. And tweezers too. Amazing. Looking to your new colors, anodized metal colors, cool.

I'll be looking forward to seeing Saturday's video
Looking forward to seeing your new colors, awesome. 👍🏼
Plasmo did a warhammer tank in gold leaf on his channel
I used acrylic clear I did have a mess around with adding it to coloured paint too
Congrats!!! Love the Angra tshirt by the way!!
Angra 🤟
Congratulations bro!
Thanks!!
One of the first things I did with an airbrush was do a mica powder mix with a clear and it worked great. Lots of fun to play with!
Finally: international shipping for BR paints!
Hell yeah
Gorgeous colours!
Thank you for your generosity Barbatos Rex!!
Thank you my friend, it's much appreciated 👍
Looking forward to the new colors 😀
Great colors. I’m curious to know what it would look like mixed with a flat clear.
Mica powders are sweet. I have a few that I have mixed in Tamiya Clear Red, & Clear Blue. Love the look. That big box of powders would be awesome.
Congrats on the launch! I'm addicted to new colors. Lets GOOOOOO
I've got a box of 36 I bought them after watching one of your earlier videos, most of mine are metallic and pearlesant but they're great , it worked perfectly over my Warhammer necron warriors and I painted up a retro gundam that was pink also
Those are cool power colors an seem easy enough to use an mix Robert an thanks for your time an effort you ]UT into your video's for us
Great on the new colors. I’m doing a 32 5 window coupe with your Copper Fire for an upcoming show. Can’t wait to see the final results
I've been using the powders for about a year and a half now and my goodness the sky is the limits especially when you spray candy over them. Thank you for sharing, everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
I have some mica powders that have been sitting around for a while. This video makes me want to try them.
Thanks for the tip! I'd played around with brushing on MicaPowders a couple years ago to do Heat Staining on the headers of a Shelby Cobra Model. Just recently (VERY recently) got into AirBrushing, so I'll have to try this out
I will love se a video showing your build of this big ZA Deathstinger
I love it when Zoids show up. They were never as big as Gundam, but I always loved the dinosaur/insect/animal robot vehicles they had in their line.
I wonder if using a bigger airbrush nozzle (0,8mm) you may get better coverage.
I love your videos ReX
I have experimented with Mica and Alclad for about half a year and have practically gotten near metallic flake hot rod level finishes.

Can’t wait to paint my MegaMan kits with this

love splash paint I am glad to see the collab
Great paints and company. They just went up for sale.

Ordered a box of the powders yesterday. They arrived today. Looking forward to trying them. Thanks for all the products you review.
I can't wait to see the new line ! You talk about international shipping, is your 2k clear will be available to ship internationally as well?
As always, great video and great success with your new line of paint.
Several youtubers tested using gold leafs on models. Its bit annoying to work with but it works.
I'm looking forward to your paint line!
Thank you for this. I'm going to try using powders.
I've learned more about using an airbrush from you, than anyone else. I really want to see you assemble and paint a Gunpla. This weekend I'm hoping to start my first. A Zaku.
Could this be used on a polycarbonate truck body by spraying the inside of the body then spray black over it?
are your new Lacquers pre thinned ?
Backackack to DaBenchhh!!
Bad news. That box is sold out on your link. Good news, I’m in UK where they still have it in stock. Bad news, it’s £53, aka $67. Eesh…
I was able to order without a problem…I’ll have both tomorrow. (Nashville, TN)
Hi, I hope you'll read this. There's a RUclips channel called DipYourCar that's right up your alley. They use they powders (and all kinds of other stuff) to paint cars. They also like to experiment by mixing them up. It's fantastic
Will these powders work with your 2k clear Bob?
Thanks
I bought the kit you are showing in your video ..
DipYourCar is doing same with real cars. Pigmentation in clear is crazy. So many results we can get this way.
you need different types/spectrums of light to see some color effects. incandescent, cfl and halogen all produce light differently. in glass blowing we have uv and cfl reactive glass that will look one color in cfl light, and another in sunlight or glows a different color in uv.
My wife is blown away by glass blowing. That's a talent my friend
I like you videos on product review
Those powders are AMAZING!!! Question: What is the orange device screwed into the bottom of your airbrush?

@@barbatosrex9473 Nice. I just looking forward to be able to get a chance to order some. Great stuff buddy
How do these go with your typical top coats (like mr hobby top coat)? Any issues?
I love your videos and have a request: can you use a mic? Sometimes when you move away the audio gets all jacked up. Guessing you’re using the camera mic?
Awesome Stuff Sir, Excited About Saturday. ❓ Just Got Your " Blackened Blue ll & Copper Fire Will Tamiya TS-14 Be The" BEST " Primer ❓ TIA n GBA 🙏🤗 Gary.
When using a Gloss Black Base I always recommend Tamiya TS-14
I Thought So Thanks Again 👍👍
Добрый день ! В Россию то же доставка есть ? И сколько стоит ?
So do you do a fifty-fifty mix with the Thinner And the Polish? for these powders
Hmmm I wonder how it would look if a satin clear was used.
What 1oz cups do you use?
I use these exclusively
amzn.to/3zLS7sO
I noticed there's a metallic clear dupli-color, any idea what the difference would be?
That's a clear pearl that's sprayed over opaque colors to give them a deep pearl look
@@barbatosrex9473 Thanks! I wasn't having any luck nailing down what it actually was!
I just ordered it from Amazon it is $20.78 reg 29.99
Have you tried mixing the powders with a matte clear? Curious how that would look.
Not yet!, but I will test that
How safe is it to airbrush mica powder? Should you own a certain airbrush booth in terms of air flow/fan power to keep mica powder from covering your space?
No problem with it what so ever. No special airbrush needed
9k more to go!!
hello! can we thinner micas with water/IPA?
I ordered my mica pigments and has them the next day! Can you really mix them with quick shine? I'm gonna find out...lol
Mica powders are great. To bad it is a dirty business, most come from Madagascar, then shipped and processed mostly in China. Cool with new color lineup 🤙

Yes to everything. It's super versatile and can be used with anything
