- LAS TERRENAS: TOUR OF MY APARTMENT IN HOTEL OASIS, POPY BEACH This video shows you the apartment I rented at Hotel Oasis for 2 months in the Popy Beach area. Hotel Oasis is really an apartment complex, not a hotel (ie.no restaurant). It has a lovely garden area with a large communal pool; gated with security guard; and easy walking distance to the beach. It is a peaceful reprieve from the noisier areas along the highway. Great for solo travellers. I felt safe walking back to my apartment at night from town; most of the walkway is well-lit. #nancysolotrips
Playa Popy, only a 15-minute walk from downtown, is the social and water sports hub of Las Terrenas. Have fun watching the kite-surfers near Playa Punta (point) Popy. On the western side of the beach, there are calmer waters for swimming, and when the tide comes in, you can play in the waves.

How much did they charge to stay there?
Sorry for the delayed response.I paid way too much compared to other units. in the complex. $100/nite before taxes. Many factors...Christmas time, recently renovated, exchange to CAD $, and VRBO fees for free cancellation. Beware..free cancellation is NOT free. I am going to do a video about the hidden costs on booking sites.
The unit is nice though, and the upgrades in the unit do make it stand out compared to some others, including nicer patio furniture, and amenities inside. Hope that helps.
