@@danielleow2813 no, i dont think he meant that. i can safely say the game has over doubled in size since its release on the epic games store and has only gotten better
each week they add several narrative and story events, tons of bug squashing, tweaking, QoL improvements, visual improvements, and tons more. they're constantly on top of this game that theyre actually passionate about, and want to make it fun and keep it fun. the fact that it's in early access says nothing about supergiant in particular other than that, in this case, the devs actually care about their game
This is what happens when capital meets true talent and passion for games and gives it a chance.
Just for anyone who don't own this yet, it is great, go buy it ASAP

@Vidar Gartz you can buy it on epic games store, because it will give Supergiant a bigger cut of money. But you can buy it on steam if you a) don't care. B) hate epic game store
@@wonderfulemir6202 Technically, if you buy it from a Steam Key reseller, Valve gets 0% and it's up to their deal with the reseller how much Supergiant gets. And you wouldn't be supporting Tencent's encroachment of the PC gaming landscape.

With about 100 hours put into this game with still many hundreds to come, I can surely say that this is the rogue-like experience of the ages!
That line "Grant me the Aspect of Nemesis!" combined with the killer soundtrack and Cerberus goodboi headpats makes this an instant buy!

Game is packed with content as hell, was playing it since first early access in Epic Store, totally worth it!

This game was more polished and filled with fun at its day 1 Epic EarlyA release than most clowns that call themselves games these days on release.
And even so, every update so far has startled me on just how much more they can put into it.
And i am just so confused, its already so good and its going to improve EVEN FURTHER, its ridiculous, its surreal and its amazing.
If you are in for the Supergiant charm, or the perfectly executed greek mithos, or you are an avid fan of roguelikes like Deadcells, Wizard of legend and Enter the Gungeon, this is an absolute crown jewel for your collection
New Olympian looks a whole lot like Demeter which could mean PERSEPHONE BACKSTORYYYYY
Got the game a few days ago and was wondering "Which gods are left to introduce?" and came up with Apollo (the only God who was mentioned in-game but is not part of it yet), Hera and Helios. The shadow in the trailer gives me a male vibe, but your idea is not bad at all.
Kejosruler I just though Demeter since she is the goddess of the harvest and grain and it looks like she has some things that look like wheat in her hair. But I really can’t wait for Apollo too

From what I could tell, the new Olympian might be Fortuna/Tyche, Goddess of Luck, for she weilds the "Cornucopia" horn.
Though I might be very wrong.
It's most likely Demeter, goddess of agriculture, hence the cornucopia and the grain in the silhouette
@@northdestiny2575 Now that you said that, it does make a lot of sense for her to be the next olympian because of her involvement with Hades himself. Since Persephone is Demetra's daughter.

Old post: I assume super giant has a third party to do switch ports? I would be amazed if the engineer and both programmers do the ports themselves. What they can do already is amazing
They have other platforms in mind, but that will come later in 2020 for the 1.0 release.

When I bought Hades day one, I thought it was going to be incomplete and full of bugs like a lot of early access games, but it surprised me how complete the whole game felt even back then, the other thing that surprised me is how FUCKING FAST supergiant works, they release constant updates, it's crazy... I might buy it again on steam, it's a very good game and I love it

I have my eye on Hades for a while, played Bastion and Transistor(Fall in love with music and style) before. And purchased Hades on 24 Jan. I was playing Path Of Exile league metamorph with two chars worth 20ex each above lvl 80...And I come playing Hades for 15 hours almost without break and it still dont leave my mind even after 6 Hades kills...I went to youtube searching for some videos of Hades development team and was not dissapointed by this one. Game just sharming and fun and I am in love with your studio guys. I very love that your games can compete with big AAA titles and win the place in my heart. All the muses, health and luck to you guys.

Got this game day 1 on epic and I immediately fell in love with it. Hope you guys bring it on the next gen systems as well, ps5 to be precise. Keep up the good work
I waited a full year until this released on Steam to buy it, glad I did because now the game has tons of content and gameplay variety to keep me going until they finish it! :D

This is by far the best roguelite I've ever played, and I've played most of the popular releases and quite a few obscure ones.
I didn't follow the development since the High Speed update this summer, but even though it's only been 3 updates since, the game feels a lot better and there's tons of new stuff to do/try out! 😀 Super happy that I decided to “reboot” the series on my channel, because it really is a “fresh” game - can’t wait to see what you guys have in store! 😊

I'm a console peasant so I have to wait it out for an official release but I'm so excited. If it doesn't come out for consoles I guess I'll just have to build a pc then.
Assuming they'll be using similar Tech from their previous entries I can imagine it hitting other platforms within a year of its finished release

The requirements are pretty low so if you own a PC already there is a chance you can play the game

That trailer convinced me to buy this game, and I'm so happy that it did. It's an absolute blast. Each run has something new.
Bought this on the day of the announcement. Worth every penny, it's easily the best roguelike out there.
Well I did play every single one that there is to play.
Deadcells is close up mechanically and in pure viciousness, also has great art style and is a lot more "numbers game" so I can imagine it to be potentially more appealing for some.
But other than that, I could not agree more, this is not even its final form yet and the level of detail and polish and the seamless way of Supergiant integrating gameplay mechanics into story elements is just nextlevel stuff.
This is the first game in quite a while I've bought on Day 1, based purely on hype and positive reviews. Also the fact that I've been listening to Out of Tartarus for the last three months.

I'm playing this on and off since EA began and these guys are definitely pulling it off. The game was good and snappy right out of the gate but has been improved since to the point where greatness is within reach for sure.
If you like top-down dungeon crawlers and/or rouge-lite action games, you should probably give this a whirl. Outside of combat, there are many, many dialogues to unlock - rouge-lite progression extends to the story & characters as well, which is really cool. Love it! Can recommend this for sure.

I'm guessing new Olympian might be Demeter or Fortuna based on the cornucopia in that teaser silhouette (probably Demeter due to slight story spoiler that I won't mention - just wiki Demeter and you'll see why).
Also I've put 40 hours into this game over like 4 days someone send help.

wait, i thought this came out like a year ago? I remember playing this game. kinda unconvinced about the content that's been added into it. someone care to write a list of the things done since the release last year? I really liked this game, but it was extremely short back then.
They added 2 new levels: elysium where you fight theseus and the minotaur, and the temple of styx where you fight hades. They added dionysus, Hermes, chaos and demeter. They also added the other 2 fury sisters as boss fights. They added a new weapon, the adamant rail with another new weapon coming next update. They also added new unlockable forms for all the weapons. They tweaked the boons and hammer upgrades quite a lot making for some new interesting combos. The game still doesn't have an ending but they added a lot of character development stuff if you're into that. Basically they added a shit ton and I'm probably forgetting some important stuff.
I need this on PS4.
That's a rad as HELL trailer.
To me it feels like a mass-market mobile game trailet. I am fine with that, I just hope that people don't think the game is less than the advertisement like those thousands of crappy mobile games.
I will just assume Hades will deliver and then some.
@@kerred WTH are you talking about? Have you never played a game by Supergiant Games? Pyre, Transistor, Bastion? Their art has always been the same and games have been good. They're 3 for 3 in my book.

I'm putting my money on the new Olympian being Apollo.
We already have Artemis, plus his powers probably work as some kind of fire mechanic where it burns foes.
Bought the game a few days ago and also thought "Hmmm the next Olympian must be Apollo as he was mentioned in some story bit". Dunno if that shadow could be him, though
Nope no burning already have a dot effect, plus with that wheat crown and cornucopia with them its probably demeter.
Well, it would finish out the Twelve Olympians, other than Hephaestus but with Daedalus hammers he'd be a bit redundant. Plus, Supergiant has designed most of the Olympians in a different way to classical depictions, so I could see it being Apollo
There's nothing stopping us to have a second dot, but it's not like it has to be specifically that kind of mechanic. But I see what you mean now, I just assumed the wheat crown was a fancy laurel and i didn't even notice the cornucopia, so color me convinced.
@@Scumtzu its possible to just scrap the hammers entirely like the other forgotten mechanics but having him as a regular seems kinda broken, the hermes and chaos pot could be used but even then thats beacuse they have things that cant be weaponised but hephaestus does, forgery and earthly power and connection so it s best to just have him as a regular olympian with original effects.
