I’ve never done this but I love the gel colors behind the transfer. You are very talented and I thank you for sharing your talent and skills with me. So generous!!
Wow, this layering technique really turns a simple image transfer into a work of art. Thank you for teaching me this technique. I was in RUclips Arts and Crafts school daily, thanks for reviving my interest. Fantastic tutorial.
Just accidentally, or not, came upon your videos. A friend of mine was wanting to do this type of art and what-la there you are. I like this method and using my gel press art behind the glass in a frame. Very nice.
Thank you for showing how easy this technique is. I really enjoyed the 3D effect. You have inspired me to make some amazing gifts, and I will pick up your book too.
Have never tried this but I'm game. Looks great and definitely a great place to place gel prints - especially layered ones. Thanks again for your generous contribution.
Thank you for the video. I love this technique, it has so many potentials. I added copies of photos to t-shirts using fabric glue and this method back in the 90s.
I just happen to come across this video looking for an idea and have to say this is by far MY FAVORITE DIY video on RUclips yet. We did some remodeling 2 years ago and pulled up the flooring. Found old newspapers from decades ago underneath still in really good condition. Saves as much as we could, which was quite a bit,and been trying to figure out what to do with it. This is an amazing idea for it. Just trying to figure out what main image to do on the glass first. Any other ideas what to do with the old sheets of newspapers are very much accepted.
Yes, you can definitely use Mod Podge though I find that it takes more effort to remove the paper. Also make sure you let it dry and wait for the transfer to happen for at least 8 hours, for some reason it takes Mod Podge longer to cure.
Nitsa.......Thank you for this great vid/tutorial. I'm so glad I read all the comments as I think I saved some mistakes before they happened, hence I have an inkjet printer problem solved with fixative spray and colour isn't as predominant maybe I can darken the colour in my printer settings to counteract the fading. Just a thought don't know if I can pull it off yet........
I love your videos. Great tutorial. I tried to make my own, but I was a little disappointed that I was not able to get the image to transfer. I suspect it has to do with the image not being dark enough. I was wondering if you could create a video on how to print your own images and make them darker. I have a HP LaserJet Pro M15w Wireless Laser Printer and cannot figure out how to make the images super dark like yours and cannot find a video anywhere with a tutorial. This will help out a lot.
Hi Iliana, I was thinking about it, but the problem is that the photo editing tutorial is part of the online class and it wont be fair to post it for free on RUclips. I hope it makes sense 🙂
Yes you can! however, I think it will be easier to use a blender pen or acetone for this. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/_YfXXJ4DbWM/видео.html
I just now tried this with an inkjet printer, but it did not work. The entire photo came off, no ink left behind. I used mod podge, I assumed that was the same type of medium? I’m not sure what I could have done wrong?
Does this same process work on mirrors? I have a wall hanging 6 panel mirror. I want to add photos to each panel. I was wanted to spray each panel with frosted paint and then add the photos.
Yes, they stay permanently but can be removed with acetone. It will work on cups as well, but I do not recommend using for cups you are going to use for drinking.
If you buy the varnish at the hardware store it is usually less expensive. And like mentioned in the video you can use other medium for transfer, so you can replace the acrylic gel with acrylic glue, such as Elmer's school glue. It works quite well 👍
I’m finding the gel medium doesn’t adhere to the glass. I’m using gloss gel and a good quality inkjet printer. I can go and get the fixative but if the gel is just peeling off I wasn’t sure if I had gotten the right gel it’s just all the had.
It's true, I also found that the medium doesn't adhere to some type of glass, maybe tempered glass, I'm not sure. When this happens you can add glass medium to the gel medium, follow the instructions and this should help the medium stick to the glass. Good luck 👍
Your book is fabulous …. In your book you first mention put glass frosting but I didn’t see you do that in this video. Is their a reason you missed this step?
you're right! well, since I wrote the book I found out I don't have to add the frosting, the transfer works just as well. I still like the frosted look however 🤗 Thank you Vivian for getting the book, for loving it and for being perceptive 🥰 Let me know if you'll be interested in "beta testing" my new book when it's ready to be published.
@@NitsaCreativeStudio that’s good to know that the frosting is an option. o yes I would love to beta test ur book. The one I did buy is amazing and so filled with great methods…. I’ve actually did transfer on air dry clay which I don’t think was mentioned in your book but it may be something you’d like to add in your upcoming book :).. just a thought. Take care and thanks for the reply.
Wonderful! Please contact me on Instagram @NitsaCreativeStudio or Facebook @NitsaMalik and if you don't mind, I would like to have your email address so I can stay in touch with you when my book is ready. As fat ad the air dry clay, I should definitely try it! It will be great for my next book as more than a few people asked me about it. Which brand clay do you recommend?
@@NitsaCreativeStudio oki will do that. So I found a trick to transferring ink to clay. U r welcome to use it.first I only used it on crayola air dry clay. I first made my piece which I made a flat ornament … I let it totally dry … remembering to keep in mind that the clay will shrink and also to let clay dry slowly to prevent cracking… once completely dry have ur transfer ready and very slightly dampen surface… make sure surface is not too wet or it will smear… also text etc should b reversed…. The transfer should b made with inkjet printer using inside shiny side of label paper. I hope that helps…. Let me know if u have any questions… good luck on ur book…. I look forward to it.
I was always told that in order for this to come out the right way and work that you need to use a freshly printed image from only a laser printer and that an ink jet one just won’t work. This was years ago, so maybe that’s why? newer technology now with better printers out on the market?? Idk, but that’s just what I was told.
Layering really brings it to life. Thanks, great tutorial.
Thank you so much Julie 🥰

Love how easy this tutorial makes image transfer onto glass! Can't wait to give it a try 🌟🎨
Thank you for creating such a great instructional! The additional notes and time frames show that you really want to help others!
Glad it was helpful and thank you so much for your nice comment 💕🌷
I like how simple the process is and I like the idea of backing it with color.
Brilliant tutorial, thank you. I was so pleased you mentioned inkjet printers so I’m definitely going to be able to have a go! x
Yay! Go for it 👍 🥰
Wow, I was about to buy $8.00 clear printable vinyl. I’m so glad I found your easy way of transferring to glass. Thank you so much 🙏🏾😀

Thank you for sharing! I knew about this process but I have never done it. I did not know you could use inkjet photos!
Wow I love your work and your videos. I didn't know this can be done. Thank you so much.
Very nice!
What's the difference between the two mediums you mentioned? How would it turn out with matte medium (on glas)
Thank you I love your videos, do you have one on how to transfer photos on fabric?
Have never tried this but I'm game. Looks great and definitely a great place to place gel prints - especially layered ones. Thanks again for your generous contribution.
I agree! Im always looking for ways to use my gel prints!
Beautiful! Such a cool technique
Very cool! I’ve seen this on Pinterest with wood but the glass has a cleaner look. The layers give it a scrapbook feel. Bravo!! 👏👏
This is so cool and creative!
I love this process and look! Thank you so much for sharing:)
Thank you Trina 🥰

Sounds like a fun project! You can also use the old newspaper in a collage which can be a great background for an image printed on tissue paper 👍
@@NitsaCreativeStudio Thank you for that idea and will give it a try.
Have a wonderful Holiday! 😊

how did it go?
Will this work for acrylics as well
Ia it water proof? after spraying
Can we do a colour printing for this technique too?
Does this method work for photos fully in color?
Stunning ❤️❤️❤️
🥰
Thank you for this beautiful tutorial.
Can we use this technique to transfer to acrylic instead of glass?
Yes, absolutely👍
Could I use the same process on acetate?
Love this💖
You showed us 3 options to apply after u peel of the paper, which did YOU use on this example?
Does it work with ink jet printer?
I’m freaking out that you left the lid off your gel medium the whole time! 😱 LoL
Hi Nitsa, can we also use silicon spray to completely clean off the paper and mod podge reserve?
Wish I could answer this question but I have never tried silicon sprays
Can i use Mod Podge to transfer onto glass? Will I get the same or similar result? Thank you in advance!
I'm not a huge fan of mod podge but I think it will work pretty much the same
Does this work on Color
Do you spray the clear spray at the end on the front of the transfer?❤
Yes, you need to spray the transfer itself 👍

FYI...bought your book from Amazon...arrived today. Looking forward to delving into it. 🤗
That's sweet! I hope you enjoy the book 🙏
Hi, thx for all your informative and upbeat videos. Your passion is contagious. Double checking: you spray the varnish on the glued side? Thanks
I apply the varnish (brushed or sprayed) to the transfer itself. It protects it and also helps rid of all the left-over paper 👍🏼
Very cool
🥰
❤❤❤ Love your art and thank you for sharing, is it possible to do it on a glass jar too? I want to create glass jars for candles with these designes!
Yes you can! however, I think it will be easier to use a blender pen or acetone for this. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/_YfXXJ4DbWM/видео.html

is it possible to make image transfer invisible to light

Yes it will defenitely work on plexi or clear acrylic! 👍

what is the diference ?transfer or just Decopage. the picture to the frame

You can use matte mod podge for this process, but in my opinion gel medium or matte medium work better on glass 👍
great
