I raised the collar in the rear so less preloaded i left it at 1” and it felt more smooth and less of a harsh buck i dont run a spare or any weight in the back so it bucks easy since theres no weight to keep the back from bucking its still does it but its less, i have evo bolt on rear and front evo dtd but no bypass i havent bought it but the front feels fine. I think next im going to have the rear tuned/re valved a friend took his jk evo coilovers to accutune and he said it was night and day difference i might do the same since theyre here in el cajon san diego

I would actually change em to ORI”s they drive like a Cadillac and you can do 14” front and rear

Jeep wrangler is not the vehicle to build for desert high speed running. The gladiator would make a much better desert runner. Then those coils and evo long arm aren’t set up great. If you look, the back isn’t a real long arm kit, the lower is a bit longer than stock but the upper is basically a short arm, so it’s like running a long arm lower with short arm upper, which will bind and there’s reports of the arms ripping the whole mount off cuss it’s geometry is all wrong. Those coils are set up bad by evo, I have a set on my wrangler and I have the fronts on my gladiator. I changed out the springs for my application and they’re much better now. If you wanted to do high speed desert, you’d be much better off with a gladiator. after fixing some of the geometry of the long arms, this Jeep would be a pretty sweet crawler though.

I agree a gladiator would be better and I do have a prerunner 4-link off-road truck for high speed. I am just trying to set it up to be able to handle some speed. I think you’re right with the rear binding. It funny how the EVO brand is said to be the best but honestly the rear end on this JL feels worse than my old Jk. I’ll probably change the spring out but if the upper and lower links cause binding it’s not going to help much.

@@ADV_LYF yeah Evo rides on their name, and some of their stuff is good quality, but some of them are pretty bad designed. For example: all of the evo control arms aren’t even as good of quality as the brand core4x4. Core uses bigger size and thicker DOM tubing and real Johnny joint from Currie. And they charge almost half the cost of evo. I originally bought some evo arms for my gladiator, then saw that core4x4 arms were bigger and thicker, I went with them. The evo long arm kit in the rear for the jl, needs to be reworked. The arms should be almost the same length and mounted almost around the same distance from the axle. That’s the only way it’ll run good and flex properly.

Do the LP6 lights do a good job of lighting up the side perimeters while driving. I’m looking for a light that lights up the sides of my driveway. Looking for owls in the trees or coyotes. Was trying to avoid an A pillarlights.

I think they would work great for that and you could alway angle them slightly out. The upside to A-pillar light is that you will have additional side light further back near you for visibility so really just depends on what you’re looking for

@@ADV_LYF thank you. I have a 392 as well. I love the way the LP6 looks on your bumper. My one qualm with a pillar is I like to use one of those conveyer belt car washes and thought the a pillar light might get caught on the machine. Lol

Get your shocks tuned. Switch to 2" longer upper springs. Evo's "tuning" is garbage.

Evo is trash. Dont waste your time trying to fix it. Weve spent thousands ours . You need to get rid of the Evo High Clearance kit. The suspension geometry is a joke and EVO gets triggered when you ask them about this kits shortcomings.
