Amy...you are livin' my dream life!! I am a nurse and am so so SO burnt out after 14 years. I am 37 no kids, not married. Have a wonderful boyfriend and praying that he is the one I am supposed to marry. He already knows that if we ever have a child, I AM staying home! Haha at least he agrees ❤

My son was starting junior kindergarten and I just wanted to do something special for him.. 3 years later, here I am finding ideas of what to do this year! The other great thing about the Adidas backpacks is the Lifetime Warranty. All of our kids have one for that reason! Plus they're just really nice backpacks. My oldest son, 12 and going into 7th, has that same black backpack and loves it! Have a great school year kids!! 🍎

Your pencil decoration turned out adorable. You are a great Mom to your kids. We used to take pictures of our kids before they went to their first day of school and even their first years of college in their first dorm rooms. We have a 30 year old son and 29 year old identical twin daughters. 😊 I hope your kids have a great school year.

The uniforms gave me instant nostalgia of my Catholic school days 💖 My son is in public but counting down two more years and he is going to Catholic school. I can’t wait. The education is so much better among so many other things. Have a great school year! 🍎

These ideas are so cute. I wish I would have done stuff like this when my kids were younger. My oldest is starting high school and my youngest is going into 7th grade. Working out of the home made doing things like these next to impossible. But I do love watching other moms do special things like this for their kids. Praying they have an amazing school year!

Ive been homeschooling since school canceled in 2020. This year they are going to a private school. Im struggling with getting ready for the 1st day of school. I wish I could make the 1st day of sun like you do. Its overwelming for sure.

Love the idea for the pencil snack and teacher gifts. My kids start school tomorrow. Better go do a Target run. The pencil that you made gave me flashbacks of my college days. I went to Oklahoma State and we have the biggest homecoming and we make these huge house decorations using chicken wire and glue and squares of tissue paper to create the coolest things. Good job! 😊

Former teacher-LOVE THE GIFTS! My girls are grown adults, and it is so fun to watch you and the great things you do for your family! I taught my girls how to do their own laundry at 12- and they were responsible for that chore at that age. I helped with bedding and blankets (totally agree about blankets-I think they multiply in the dark) until they were around 14-15. What are you thinking for your kids? I had no boy, so I’m not sure my method would work! Also Owalas are the best.

Ours is the opposite: We use lockers but they can't use their backpacks after they get to school. They have to carry a ton of stuff to class.

Yes! Sweatshirts are 100% a thing here in public schools in PA. I do think part of it is the age and changing/developing bodies. Puberty is so hard! Poor things. My best friends daughter is 5'8" in 6th grade and she's so self-conscious.

Here in Fl kids will wear sweaters, and sweatshirts in the 90 degree plus heat and tank tops when it’s 50 degrees.. the adults don’t understand.

Can't help but wonder how many kids are going to have back problems some day from carrying their heavy backpacks around :( Our school did the same thing for a while. Thankfully they finally let the kids go back to using their lockers again!

Wow you have to do a lot of back to school prep in the US. Here in the UK we don’t have to supply all the stuff you do and I’ve never heard of back to school gifts for teachers. Perhaps a teacher gift at Christmas or end of of term but only for elementary school not once they go to secondary school
As a former teacher, I like to show appreciation before the year starts because I know so much effort goes into prepping for the school year and preparing the classroom for the students.
I know it's above and beyond but I want their teachers to have a great first day too ❤️

I've heard that the Nike brand women and kids shoes fit the same ... So women can wear the kids shoes and vise versa ... Also $ saving tip ... Jansport backpacks have a lifetime warranty so you'll basically only have to buy one backpack for the rest of their school era ...
