Just think about kids like this, playing with legends, and all those legends going out of their way, to make sure these kids carry on the torch. These kids are going to listen to their idols and hopefully grow up to make their own music and maybe pass on what they learned from the legends to their followers. What greater experience than playing with legends. 😋😋😋😋
Carlos' greatness goes far beyond his incredible skill and feel for the music... it's displayed by his generosity and selflessness, his willingness to share the limelight with other amazing musicians, and in this case, promoting young Farrant who looks to be part of the next generation of incredible artists.
Rahul Pai, no worries. I had the pleasure seeing SRV live in the 80’s. I was standing five foot from him while he played the guitar behind his head. The house was a rockin keep on knocking. He was a blast!
Carlos is one of favs of all time. I grew up listening to Santana and to me it was only a dream ever to meet the legend and already in your short life, you have already jammed with him. Big props to you. How blessed you are to play with such a legend and master of universal music.
Personally, Taj reminds me of the late great Gary Moore in his playing style more than anyone else. He is a fantastic player with so much feel and passion, he's gonna be huge someday.
It was cool of Carlos to hold back and let the kid rip and show his stuff. Carlos was way underplaying so as to not steal thunder from this extremely talented young guy.
I am 72 yrs. Always been a fan of Santana from day one. This young man Taj and Santana brought back MUSIC for the young and old. Santana finally your wish came true. You made a good choice with Taj to carry your LEGACY I saw when tapped his back and guided him in another direction. His mind clicked a lesson. Santana you are the best. No other guitarist can match this.
You likely saw the short bit two weeks ago here, on Taj's channel. That blew my mind. Just hoping his is a much larger bit of the show. I can't get enough of this artist!
Taj Farrant is an amazing blues /rock player for any age let alone being only ten years old. Carlos Santana is a legendary Blues/rock God who established his own beautiful latin blues style and his band is full of great musicians as well. I saw the Great Carlos Santana back in 1992 in Golden gate park where he played for FREE and he was great in the open air! I heard in other posts people characterising this video as a guitar contest but I only see two great guitarists who have a mutual love of blues celebrating electric blues music together. One is a guitar King and one is a little guitar prince. Both are stellar talents but Carlos generously and kindly let the prince shine and the prince moved up to the plate with shining colors!
Not sure if this was rehearsed - if not that kid really knows how to take cues and give respect on the stage. Going to be something special. Let's keep an eye on him through the future!
As a retired tour manager I can tell you the most definitely went over it in sound check. But if you watch any of Taj’s other stuff, you will quickly realized he is not parroting anything He Has The touch The tone And the feel. He we will be around for awhile as he has a good grounding thanks to family

For sure. It's one thing to shred by yourself and then another to learn how to share the stage with 5 or 6 other musicians. Carlos obviously knows this and guided Taj through it. Carlos obviously has alot of belief in the kid to where he trusted him to take the stage with him, and Taj was respectful and knew who's stage he was on. Awesome to see this. For Taj to have someone like Carlos Santana as a mentor is priceless.

Yes Taj remember this lessin Carlos is teaching u it be humble show respect to the rest of the band and he also showing how to be humble cool an laid back....ur doing great u will get it but u could not learn from anyone better than Carlos humbleness along with great ness he taught u a lot in a few minutes good job
That is not what Carlos is teaching him, he is probalbly teaching him how to jam back and forth with the keyboard and drum and bass.
Kellie, one day you will get what you just witnessed. Not now, grasshopper.
Carlos is reminding him even tho hes awesome and everyone is watching him the musicians all have their spotlight and appreciate eachothers time to shine
@@xhellabentx appreciated, you are so right on the money.
No doubt the kid could use a little bit of humility he definitely knows that he's very talented and he's a little bit cocky about it
Definitely one of the most talented people ever to be exported from Australia, incredible talent, especially for his age.
what heart the man Santana has to let this young man share his stage and Taj not letting him down god bless
Carlos was 17 when he stood in front of 500.000 people at Woodstock, he was trippin so hard on purple microdot he had to close his eye almost the whole way thru Soul Sacrifice... This kid is only 10 !!! And he's already playing like the Masters. Incredible. ✌️
Carlos was 22 @ Woodstock. Even so, the Santana band's performance was extraordinary. Taj is great but not surprisingly still learning stagecraft. If he's mentored right and stays grounded he's going to be an incredible adult player.
@@busker-nh5le I think he's got some pretty impressive stage presence right now, and it's only gonna get better as he gets older. Pretty cool that he's playing the same guitar as Derek Trucks too.
It's really great how all these Legendary guitar players are finding these kids and mentoring them. Like Buddy Guy with Quinn Sullivan. Seeing them at Clapton's Crossroads Festival is incredible.
This kid feels every note he plays. Hes such a pleasure to watch. Just amazong.
Taj at 10 years old playing with some of the Top Dogs already I pray I’m around to see what he will be doing at 13. Being a Breast Cancer patient right now I pray I will live to see Taj in person. I truly love to see him and listen to him he is a much needed inspiration while experiencing what I’m going through. He inspires me so much. Taj you’re a winner because you have won my heart. You really make me smile when I’m watching you
Good luck with your journey I'm sure you will see him.
Taj is remarkable but I want to see Carlos Santana. First things first. Saw Santana at a stadium show in the 70s, but that was then. I wish you well. Let Taj inspire you...his energy will heal.
Great comment.
Very inspiring.
Good feelings.
Thanks everyone I call him my BabyBoy. I literally listen to him everyday and night and have the Drs and Nurses listening to him. I listen to Taj while receiving my treatments while everyone else is covered up with their blankets They tell me I don’t look sick and I’m like do I have to look 👀 sick. I told my doctors that I have a mission to take care of I have to go to see Taj and God sent him in my life at the right time bec he is my inspiration and when I’m watching and listening to him it does something to my bones I forget about the aches and pain he’s sending his energy to my body and I know God is blessing me through him and I know God is going to bless me to be able to get to meet him one day. Thanks Taj and I love you ❤️
@@brendajohnson5976 You will see him live. He is everything good. No surprise his talent inspires and is aiding you in this journey. Good healing get better soon!🙏
Notice how he constantly looks for Carlos and the rest of the band. He has the musical sensibility of someone playing for years and years. Upcoming talent no doubt! Taj my man ROCK ON!!
This little man is an internet sensation for a long time now. Love seeing him grow.
Just think about kids like this, playing with legends, and all those legends going out of their way, to make sure these kids carry on the torch. These kids are going to listen to their idols and hopefully grow up to make their own music and maybe pass on what they learned from the legends to their followers. What greater experience than playing with legends. 😋😋😋😋
It's scary to think this isn't his peak and he's already this good
I see no limits for him, musically speaking....it will be interesting to see how his playing evolves in the coming years...
Carlos' greatness goes far beyond his incredible skill and feel for the music... it's displayed by his generosity and selflessness, his willingness to share the limelight with other amazing musicians, and in this case, promoting young Farrant who looks to be part of the next generation of incredible artists.
My little Stevie Ray incarnate, love you Taj, from San Antonio, tx!
Steve Vai is still alive
Rahul Pai, I’m talking about Stevie Ray Vaughan. He died on August 27, 1990.
@@melissadaily1023 omg I am blind yeah I love SRV too, just lacking sleep haha
I said the same thing from the first time I heard Taj. Stevie Ray Vaughn lives again in Taj!
Rahul Pai, no worries. I had the pleasure seeing SRV live in the 80’s. I was standing five foot from him while he played the guitar behind his head. The house was a rockin keep on knocking. He was a blast!
He can definitely hang with Carlos. The confidence he has in his ability is mind blowing. Not one bad note!
Taj is THE BEST guitarist on the planet, for his age. I'm his biggest fan..for life. Yes, he's my favorite!
OMG! Fabulous and he is up there on the stage with the best already. He is so confident too! Well done Taj.
Never thought I'd see Carlos matched by anyone much less a 10 year old. Imagine how good he's going to be when he grows up.
Carlos is one of favs of all time. I grew up listening to Santana and to me it was only a dream ever to meet the legend and already in your short life, you have already jammed with him. Big props to you. How blessed you are to play with such a legend and master of universal music.
That's was awesome. Taj, is an old soul!! He just knows what going on and nails what he's doing. He shines... He is a star 🌟
JUST PURE SHRED IN THAT GUITAR BY THAT LITTLE MAN!
Amazing just amazing to see a young man play music like that ... congratulations to him
Thrilled to see such a young kid picking up real music and running with it. Can't wait to hear what comes next!
He's a real player. Very accomplished now, & he's getting better all the time! Wonderful. And his family as well. Born with electric guitar!
Personally, Taj reminds me of the late great Gary Moore in his playing style more than anyone else. He is a fantastic player with so much feel and passion, he's gonna be huge someday.
👍👍👍 Gary Moore fan!
@@eliseintheattic9697 Gary Moore, absolutely, he mentions Gary . Gary Moore was and is phenomenal.
Dennis James Arredondo Gary Moore! 😍❤️
I didn't know Gary Moore died !
Yeahhh. Me robaste las palabras
That kid tears it up every time he steps on stage.
Quite the honor to play with Carlos & this 10 year old will never get that SMILE off
his face
It was cool of Carlos to hold back and let the kid rip and show his stuff. Carlos was way underplaying so as to not steal thunder from this extremely talented young guy.
Lost, but its ok
@phillip abney "but it sounded a little like shade to"... you and no one else.
That's why he is the master.
Taj, YOU ABSOLUTELY KILLED IT!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Music saves lives. And encourages people to keep striving towards their goals. Thanks young man
How lovely of Carlos Santana to give this young lad such an opportunity.
Oh my goodness! This young man is beyond Awesomeness! He is his music it’s in his soul naturally. He is absolutely amazing!!
I viewed this video last week on another channel and Taj blew Carlos mind!
This kid has it !
Just saw his Tennessee Whiskey video. Oh My Word he is GREAT!!! Never even knew he existed till this morning. WOW!!!!
I've seen Santana in concert and for this kid to hold his own is amazing.
Not sure if this was rehearsed - if not that kid really knows how to take cues and give respect on the stage. Going to be something special. Let's keep an eye on him through the future!
Exactly, a young kid like that thrown on a stage needs direction and he did well,
Oh 🎶 Lord YES!!
As a retired tour manager I can tell you the most definitely went over it in sound check. But if you watch any of Taj’s other stuff, you will quickly realized he is not parroting anything
He Has
The touch
The tone
And the feel.
He we will be around for awhile as he has a good grounding thanks to family
Jeezuz this kid can shred. AND he has tone and soul. Wow.
I’m imagining this kid playing along side Prince too. Now that would’ve been something to watch and definitely hear!
He played Purple Rain during Australia's Got Talent. He was 9. Easy to find the video
Thanks! I was there at House of Blues✌️❣️
Taj you are amazing! I would love to take my Mother to one of your concerts. She is 80 and listens to you every day on her computer. Cant wait to see what you do next.
Great opportunity and experience for this kid to be on stage with Carlos Santana 🎸💕🎶
I L♥️VED hearing that kid play I would buy an album of just him shredding & making that guitar wail.💋
It has taken me a lifetime to play half as good as this young player. I'm in heaven when I have a good jam session, so I can imagine what's in his head and heart when he's on a roll. Fair winds and following seas to all. Rock-n-roll. Ooorah!
turns up the young dudes amp and walks away to let em play.. always class act santana.. awesome
That little tap/lesson from Santana in sharing the spotlight with the other musicians on stage will benefit Taj immensely as he progresses.
Tan is nothing short of mastery! He’s got the potential to be the best guitar player to ever live
A ten yr. old kid shredding with Santana , only in America ❗️🇺🇸
Ehm?
Nyet, comraydski.
Fuck yea!!
A 10yo keeping up with Santana is nothing but amazing. The kid is actually right there with him. He can't beat Santana BUT Santana can't beat him either
He is Australian btw
My My Babyboy making that Guitar Talk for real. He feels every note. All the band members are very good
Thanks Carlos.....for bringing this youngster on stage and letting him showcase his talent
This young man is awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Just goes to show you how smart our children are. Super impressed !😊
Santana is always known to give a chance to the younger generations, bravo to the Maestro!!
Yeah he did the same for Neal Shohn..at woodstock..Neal killed it.
Taj showing out for real. Oh WOW!!! I love you Taj. I can watch you all day and night. Please let me know when you are coming to the East Coast I’m wanting to see you in person so bad. I have all my friends checking you out and everyone loves you. You are the Amazing
No wonders he's so good, he's got the pick of Destiny.
A TENACIOUS D reference!! Yeah man!!
How awsome is this with Carlos Santana, I’m just giddy with excitement
the faces he makes are spectacular
Looks like they both are having a great time.
Taj Farrant
From Guadalajara Mexico
U Da Man
"Play it Live zplay it Loud"
Just saw your AGT video and absolutely amazed. Love for the blues, 80's Rock, absolutely awesome. Keep us rocking into the free world. You have a fan for life, my dude.
Now that is true mentorship, the older teaching the younger showmanship and sharing on the stage. Bravo!
What an amazing opportunity and experience that they will both treasure. It was worth noting how Carlos was teaching the little one to be humble and let others shine and not always be the virtuoso. Great mentoring 🙏👏😀
LOVE THIS KID BEEN WATCHING HIM SINCE HE'S 7 HE PLAYS WITH MORE HEART AND SOUL THE GUITARIST 4XHIS AGE TAKE CARE OF THOSE EARS TAJ I WANNA SEE ROCK THE GARDEN
