Thank you. I almost bought seeds couple of months ago but didn’t. I had seen a few ads on Etsy where I buy my seeds for my garden from and decided to google them. I then seen on a website of people who had them and most didn’t like them as much and said they take over and didn’t really know what to do them . I might think about it some more but wouldn’t know which ones to get yet. What type do you have and could you describe what those ones taste like ? Thank you

Keep in mind that most currants are not heat tolerant. If your summers get in the 90s for long they will suffer, and long periods of high 90s will tend to defoliate them. They're also vulnerable to some leaf spot diseases. Blacks are a little more tolerant, but have a much sharper taste. The taste is hard to describe. You can get black currant or red currant jelly and that might be the best way to taste them.

Thanks for watching! I was drying white currants in this video. I think the overall flavor of them is closest to a tangy pear and are my fav compared to red and black currants.
I have a video comparing the taste of some common currants on my channel.

Hey Ben, I dont have access to a food dehydrator. Do you recommend trying an oven or air fryer? If so, how would I go about the temperature and time?

I feel like in an air fryer would be challenging to not over dry them since they usually operate as such high temps.
Most ovens only go down to around 170 F so you’d have to crack open the oven door to moderate the temp in there. Drying time would be similar to a normal dehydrator. You’d also need to stir the berries around periodically since you need to have them on a baking tray and not a mesh screen like in a dehydrator
