Fantastic man. My gf has enlisted me to help her with her statistics class. Not because I have experience with it but because I'm just generally fairly decent at math. But these videos that she has to watch are frustrating as hell. This dude just mumbles through everything and doesn't go into hardly any detail at all. Just shows you HOW to do the problems without explaining WHY. The why is what really helps you remember things. When you understand the reason for why something is done a certain way you can always retrace your steps if you forget part of the how of it.
Anyway, you really nail this stuff down clearly. Thanks!

Isn't the median of your data 6.5?
12 values + 1 = 13 / 2 = 6.5, but you said the median is 5.5....

he started from position 0, which meant 5.5 was indeed the right answer

the formula (n+1)/2 gives you the POSITION of the median.. so you have to go to the 6.5 position, which is between position 6 and position 7, in this case, between the numbers 5 and 6.... hence, 5.5. Does that make sense?
