It kills me when people run DMB down as some annoying pop band, you just don't know them. One of the greatest bands of all time. Dave is a true gentleman.
Dave is a prolific musician, humanitarian, charitable and the sexiest man alive! The band has brought so much joy to my life for the last 18 years...81 concerts and counting!!
I have been a fan of DMB since 1995. Have seen them over 20 times. This March, I will travel to see them in Milan. My heart is full knowing that I not only love their music, I love their heart for humanity.
When you had to stifle your tears, Big Brother Dave, from within my heart towards you came thousand hugs. You and all the members of the DMB, both past and present, deserve nothing but the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth which you all have continuously poured from yourselves to all of humanity. When I have secluded myself in nature with nothing but you, your boys, and me, I have always found myself not seclude, but an abundance of attentive life begins draws near with attentive ears, and even the wind seems to dance and rejoice, and the eye beholds the fowls with their graceful circles and bats with their banded stream perform before me and the creatures of the ground, the ancient ballet of wings and graceful currents.
The country needs more people of extreme wealth to step up and contribute. Dave seems to have always lead by example. I'd love to have coffee with this guy. Just talk. Then share a doobie and go to the show!! Thanks Dave
What are the odds that so many strangers that, each at or near top skilled person at their instrument, are bouncing around in Charlottesvilles and find each other.
You're an inspiration Dave...bless you...#dMbfamily...forgive me I just forgot to mention the warehouse he pointed out is THE place he wrote the first demo and of course the song Warehouse...
Some devil... of a sweet man! 😉 no longer will they be under the table and dreaming; come tomorrow, the people of Charlottesville will stand up before these crowded streets and they’ll stay for awhile, thanks to ♥️DMB!
South African born - what a legend :) Check out his participation in the tribute to Johnny Clegg, by South African Artists, and a few well known international artists :)
Take note, other rich, white dudes in America: THIS is how you comport yourself when you have money to burn. You don't buy yourself a 12th vacation home or 47th luxury sports car. Give something back to your communities. Be a decent human being. Turns out, you can still have a great life of your own while helping others who aren't as fortunate.
I love his music... but sometimes I think things that have conflict and race is automatically called "racism." For Charlottesville... our history is our history. Tearing down statues may make some activist students feel better but is it good? MLK had some questionable "dalianses" in his day. Would it be right if women demanded his statue be torn down? In Seattle... the town Dave Matthews lives in today.. there is a statue of V. Lenin. Yes... the guy that killed 20 million people 100 years ago. We are a diverse nation... and we have challenges you just don't find on most of the planet.
He came from Apartheid South Africa to the US to escape racism, that's the whole point. In South Africa we had PERFECT state racism and segregation, and still he found the US to be incredibly racist. Cause he knows what racism is. He's a good man doing good things, please don't use this to try to change peoples minds to what you think racism is...
That was an independently employed bus driver, and the band wasn't anywhere close to the bridge when it happened. The band did, however, make all parties whole and donated a bunch of money to cleaning up the Chicago River.
Dave Matthews Band really lost it's touch when he stop having faith in God. It was some of the greatest music in history. Christians are HOPING he brings his music back alive through faith. Not works.
@@carlahughes5931 Except that since he came out as an agnostic, the bands' music has been terrible and works are not what life is about. Faith in Christ is what life is about and the Holy Spirit gives you works to do. Think Christ gives you works that revolve around money? I'm not sure (doubtful), I don't have the money to be that charitable. But it's not works that save, it's Christ which gives you the Holy Spirit. John 14.

I've never heard anyone refer to them that way but that's definitely not true...
A beautiful man doing beautiful things. His love and his actions are truly color blind.
Thank god for this band!
One of the good guys in this world.

Dave Matthews ! How could anyone NOT love his music and his personality !
Such a genuinely wonderful man. I've loved his music since '93 and I'm just in awe of him. 😊 Oh Dave! 💜
Dave is a real one.
Awe shucks.....he's so damn sweet...what a dear heart...so much love to give...spreading it is important!

We miss having him around here. That pink warehouse? That's where I was in the very beginning, and it was AWESOME!

big fan of this guy and his tunes.
I’ve NEVER seen so much pain on Dave’s face before, and it’s heartbreaking, especially since I know exactly what he is talking about.
I have always been a Dave Matthews Band fan, since their very first album!
Love you Dave.
He is all soul

I love the soul and spirit and community of DMB, I've met some of the most wonderful and welcoming people by going to their shows.
Good man, Great band!
This is so great!
LOVE HIM ❤
Great segment, listening to DMB takes away all worries. At the end the last great morning show group CBS used to have.

Dave you can not give up touring until I can see you at least once
Robert Renode I’ve seen him over 10 times now. It never loses value.

Interviewer: You've given away more than $40 million--"
Dave: What?!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Damn I felt bad for Dave at 3:45. You can see the real grief he had for what happened in Charlottesville.

They have donated 40 million. Wow.
This was 5 years ago - I am sure it is excess of more than $50 million by now.
NOW THIS IS JOURNALISM!
Why cant it happen to one person ?🤔

How incredibly presumptuous of you to speak for another man's faith? Who does that?
It’s almost like he took those “thoughts and prayers” and put his money where his mouth is. Works are what it’s all about.
