Camp and hike: Lake Corpus Christi State Park- beautiful and windy

Texas is gorgeous at this time of year, February- camped two nights at campsite with great views by lake. Next night we had to move the wind can get fiercest when you can break tent poles.
An afternoon hike of a couple of miles with historical Pavilion and lake views - it’s nice to spend time birding on the trails.

Loved it, Liz! The sand trails are a love-hate situation. Some times you love them and Some times you hate them. I'll tell you one thing, it's one heck of a workout. The birding area was awesome! That sunset.... breathtaking.
