0:55 I believe the Constellation HQ is called "The Lodge": that's where Sarah Morgan was located, but Unassigned to, when they showed the Crew Assignment screen during the Direct showcase. It's just a guess, but their HQ does look kinda lodge-esque :) 9:45 I was speculating if maybe different starports or different systems play host to different manufacturers, like Deimos, and that one of the in-game kinda-sorta mini-games is finding these different manufacturer hubs and unlocking their parts by maybe doing missions? Or maybe they're like Mass Effect and we have to purchase a license to unlock their gear? I kinda like Deimos: from what I've observed, their hull sections have a more hard-edged, industrial look to them and I'm guessing they're Mars- or at least Sol-based (Mars = mining/industrial, Deimos = Martian moon).
I would say that the "Black Fleet" is likely tied to Va'ruun as their starships are painted black and you'll randomly find a capitol starship thats tied to that faction as you roam around the various star systems.
I recommend if anyone wants to pick a certain faction to join first do the rangers. I won't say what you get but the end reward is by far the best and it's not a suit i'll say that. Still use it to do all my missions and other factions. (All factions and missions can be done joining one will not null you from doing another). Last if you want easier and options to sell contraband when you have the crimson mission side with them the pirates
I have absolutely no basis to substantiate this claim, but my guess is that the Red Mile is going to be a smugglers guild faction. Smuggling has been confirmed, and the red mile base looks pretty remote. Also, the red mile name makes me think of a smugglers run. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I want a smugglers faction, and this one makes the most sense to me.
It's possible. I just kind of assumed the crimson fleet was the all encompassing illegal activity faction. Theft, murder, ship/settlement raids, etc. Smuggling included. But it would be cool to have a smuggling dedicated faction.
Mindlessly listening to a ton of Starfield videos in the background while I work today...and the Mass Effect music happening in the background really threw me off 🤣🤣
You know that you can choose all factiins. Right? Be a member of all at same time.. quite smoothly. I know later in game there is more to this but i won't spoil at all.
my theory is that constellation is going to be a story driven element that we must use to drive the story forward but it would be interesting to see the other factions providing the same artifact exploration support that they would give. It would add even more playability and diversity to the game. as for factions I think that the UC is more like the Enclave - remnants of a prior civilization that think they are the pinnacle of humanity and the Freestar Collective is more like the brotherhood a group of war survivors/soldiers that will do anything to survive regardless really looking forward to starfield and 7 weeks is so long away!
The UC aren't remnants though they're just a collective of people from different nations that banded together to leave earth. In terms of how they operate they remind me more of the NCR.
Definitely going to align with Ryujin industries, build up to a massive space freighter, become a social and economic expert, and bring in all the contraband I can carry to neon city. No questions asked, just “how much?”
Great video but I was immediately distracted when I started watching as soon as I heard the stargazer theme from ME3 in the background. And all the other mass effect tracks
With the crimson fleet watch out on the echos of the past quest, the final boss fight is bugged and sometimes won’t spawn, if no earlier save exists you will be trapped in the prison landing bay. I am 2 weeks and 30 levels in and am stuck here.
There’s a bug where some members of Constellation will suddenly start shouting at you, acting as if you’ve done something completely evil. (They did this after i completed a mission without any bloodshed, totally peaceful/humanitarian.) watching this video so i don’t accidentally get screamed at again by Sarah. Super unpleasant being screamed at for something I didn’t do. Mildly traumatizing tbh
Ive been saying this in other comments i hope they give really good perks and loot for the crimson fleet in the future. I look foward to making my own space pirate ships.
Just noticed that u said u have to do minutemen, but u know u can go straight to diamond city right? At close aprox you will get the qest to talk to valentine
you dont join a faction to live the life you just do the main quest line then you get a mission board with random quest. You get free ships mainly, not sure what crimson fleet endings are because there are 2 mission breaking bugs that prevented me finishing it.
I have to disagree with one statement you made, about how in Fallout 4 you have to join the Minutemen as part of the main quest. Because you actually don't. You can completely ignore the Minutemen and still complete the main quest. You don't even have to go to Concord to rescue them, you can completely bypass all of that and go straight to Diamond City and do a full playthrough without even acknowledging Preston or the Minutemen. Interacting with them just opens up more story/quest possibilities, including some unique situations in the main quest, but they are not required at all. That said, considering the artifacts seem to be the central part of the main quest in Starfield, and Constellation is focused on finding them, I find it likely that you'll have to join them in order to pursue the main quest. But who knows, it might be possible to seek out the artifacts on your own initiative without having to interact with Constellation at all. We'll have to see when the game comes out.
My ass got distracted after going under cover then went back few side quest later to find andrjea and the crims didnt attack me threw the hole mission. I would say that the "Black Fleet" is likely tied to Va'ruun as their starships are painted black and you'll randomly find a capitol starship thats tied to that faction as you roam around the various star systems.
Freestar collective, I get minutemen vibes from them, and I love it.
Another Planet needs our help! - Preston Garvey, probably
"General. Another colony needs your help. I’ll mark it on your map"
@@norzzagod I hope not lol
Basically bounty hunting
I recommend if anyone wants to pick a certain faction to join first do the rangers. I won't say what you get but the end reward is by far the best and it's not a suit i'll say that. Still use it to do all my missions and other factions. (All factions and missions can be done joining one will not null you from doing another). Last if you want easier and options to sell contraband when you have the crimson mission side with them the pirates
I'll be joining the freestar collective for my first playthrough, they just look too shiny to pass up.
Want to explore the minor factions and see if there are any interesting choices there.
It'll be hard to make these decisions when you want to experience it all asap.. I think my first playthrough will be free star collective.
Mindlessly listening to a ton of Starfield videos in the background while I work today...and the Mass Effect music happening in the background really threw me off 🤣🤣
Thank you very much :-) ! Huge help! All the best to you!
The fact that you have the Mass Effect music in the background 🥹
You know that you can choose all factiins. Right? Be a member of all at same time.. quite smoothly. I know later in game there is more to this but i won't spoil at all.
Like the use of mass effect music here 😊
Love the mass effect sound track. This is what the next mass effect should have been like
Another colony needs your help! 🤠
my theory is that constellation is going to be a story driven element that we must use to drive the story forward but it would be interesting to see the other factions providing the same artifact exploration support that they would give. It would add even more playability and diversity to the game.
as for factions I think that the UC is more like the Enclave - remnants of a prior civilization that think they are the pinnacle of humanity and the Freestar Collective is more like the brotherhood a group of war survivors/soldiers that will do anything to survive
regardless really looking forward to starfield and 7 weeks is so long away!
Freestar collective gives more minutemen vibes than bos
@@mal1362Agreed.
I swear that if i hear mass effect music in a starfield video one more time... imma go load up mass effect an play it.
The galaxy belongs to the Crimson Fleet it ALWAYS HAS!!! The weak should fear the strong.
Are you touched? Cool comment 😎
CRIMSON FLEET #1 BROTHER YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Think we will actually be able to join the crimson fleet?
@@beasthercules5807 yup it’s a faction we can join. When you sign up with the Crimson Fleet… no one quits. The only way out, is death.
I want to be a bounty hunter. Be against all the main factions. Gonna be tough if I have to choose tho.
Freestar collective! Im just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe. Im an opurtunist at heart so this faction fits me to a T
That mass effect 1 normandy ship music, *chefs kiss timeless
The freestar collective does have a comparison, it's like goodneighbor from Fallout 4 as a faction
Great video but I was immediately distracted when I started watching as soon as I heard the stargazer theme from ME3 in the background. And all the other mass effect tracks
Honestly, I'd rather be in business for myself than for a faction.
Freestar Collective is my choice if you really have to join something.
With the crimson fleet watch out on the echos of the past quest, the final boss fight is bugged and sometimes won’t spawn, if no earlier save exists you will be trapped in the prison landing bay. I am 2 weeks and 30 levels in and am stuck here.
I’m trying to choose my traits so this video was very helpful.
I joined all of them at once. Lots of fun.
I will definitely give this a watch before I play
Mass effect background! Hell yes. SUCH a good game.
I wish you could directly join the Ecliptics...i love thier style of ship builds and armor
Freestar collective is probably most similar to the pre-NCR Rangers from New Vegas
I love that you used Mass Effct's soundtrack I'm the background!!!!!!!!!!!
Aw man the mass effect music in the background was a great nostalgia trip.
Anyone know the exact name of the track
You look so happy when ever you were advertising Heroes of bloodline😂
I wonder if theres gonna be like a "Dark Brotherhood" faction or cult to join.
So i decided not to complete the mission where i have to choose witch faction so now where ever i go i have no enemies 😂 only spacers, vruun or aliens. But for some reason some freestar ships will attack but not all.
I back the UC.. Freestar will have to go through my faction first :)
Video was really helpful
Whatever faction lets me hunt alien monsters the most? Sorry its just that i know i want that profession, just not sure about with what faction yet.
Probably UC for my first playthrough. I’ll start “straight and narrow” before veering off into the fringes of space.
Thanks for this. First I've heard of joining factions. And a New Eden Gallente joining a corp that developed a pleasure city sounds familiar. (As a gun for hire? Sure I'll apply for a job as they have dental.) Just as the House of Whatever sound reminiscent of the Amarr.
Mass effect back ground music melts my heart❤
I've already picked Freestar collective because I'm going for a Malcolm Reynolds bounty hunter/Smuggler type!
