I bought this item as a bundle package with the earbuds, they sent out the black instead of white, which I did not want. Company was contacted about the wrong item being sent and they were superb, great instructions on how to return with postage being reimbursed. It is a bit pricey, but worth the money.
Thank you have ordered mine thank you for the 15% discount good luck Mark will use when I go back !!!! I have just spent 90 day there going back to Nang Rong buriram in June
Thais have several variations of the language based on geography. South and North Thai is quite different than the Bangkok version which most Farangs will hear. Along border areas there is a mashing of the language, like the BKK mixing of North and South, it is Thai/Lao mix, Malay/Thai, Thai/Cambodian mix ect.. Hearing Thai for 50 years, I recommend you learn the BKK version which is carried back to the South and North and the most universally understood version.
That's right, and to be fair, Thai is an extremely difficult language to learn. This is working with what we call Bangkok Thai, not Isaan slang or any other region. I'll be testing it out in different environments to see how it works for me.
Ordered mine today. Didn't get the 15% discount, but Amazon provided some discount anyway. Thanks for the review as Im trying to learn Thai, but its just so confusing!
@@TheIsaanFarang Arrived today, 2 day delivery US to UK! Anyway, great bit of kit, especially the end to end chat facility. My only grumble is that is would be nice if you could enter an amount in the currency converter, unless Ive missed something? Also, its more aimed at Bangkok / Northern language. Southern language translation understanding is a little more difficult. Thanks
It looks like it works better then google translate. But at $300 USD so that’s $440 AUD very pricey and Amazon don’t send to Australia. Hopefully things will change and price will drop in the future. Looking forward to see how it works with longer conversation.
My wife’s family is about 45 minutes northwest of Udon and I know they primarily speak Isaan, though they all speak Thai of course. I am in the States and will move there in a couple of years. I have time to develop a basic level of the language. Maybe this can help.
. Very useful indeed. It looks really fine but please you shoud try this device with longer sentences. For a real conversation. Not just hello how are you? Have you eaten yet? And maybe more complex sentences. Just to test the limits of the capabilty of this translator. Does it work with french language? Where is it possible to purchase this translator? Thank you
Hello friend, it dose support French. And if you want to see the test if long sentences, you can refer to this video.ruclips.net/video/cRTg6QZEo8g/видео.html. It works quite well.
It works perfectly well translating French. I have tested it with my business partner who is from Dijon. I'll be taking it out and about to test it further and in different situations. You'll find links to where you can purchase it and receive a 15% discount in the video description.
I'm desperate to learn to speak Thai, but for now... This will do fine 🙂

Excellent. Pook and I will be posting more trials of the T1 soon.
I had one delivered a month ago. Great. Use it on learning mode,, until I’m back in Thailand, then will probably get a teacher.
Great review 🙏
Great to hear.
Thank you Darren.

Not sure if this is allowed on here, but I've finished with mine if anyone wants one cheaper? Worked a treat when I was in Bangkok
👍

Pook and I will be posting more videos using the translator over the next few weeks Stuart.
Does anyone know if or where you can buy in Thailand from a Thai supplier ?
Not sure that you can.
I think that they are only available from the main company outlet.
Thanks for the review. It seems quite easy to use. Does it translate to Isaaan since the dialect is close to Thai?
pretty much any thai person can understand central thai. so i wouldnt worry about dialects.
Not so good with Isaan. Pook and I have been experimenting and it is only reliable with so called "Bangkok Thai" Robert.

300 dollars is a very high price
It is an exceptional product
Looks pretty good mate might get one, the only draw back is it might make me lazy to learn..
You can use this to learn. I'll be covering this in another video.
I curious, does it translate Lao?
It doesn't Donny
