    A couple of years ago, Akai was doing only controllers and people asking for stand alone products, today Akai made stand alone units and people saying "can't i just use my computer and controller?" The loop is infinite.

      Akai made Push to control Ableton, after that they integrate the "Ableton" in to the Force! Now they need to upgrade the Force to control Ableton for supreme production and live performance, simple. Stand alone product can not compete with Ableton in production, my be with bigger screen and additional features, bigger processor... but this is non sense!

      the real question is, with whom the Force compete? The Force can not compete with Ableton, and currently can not compete with Push to, because is not a controller. The Abletonn Live and Push together are real force, so the Force need to become controller to, to eat Push for breakfast and to expend live and production performance.
      Pro tools is history, case closed.

    Doesn’t look like this will act as an audio interface like the other mpc models... no audio over usb??? Ableton screen doesn’t seem to switch and reflect what’s going on on the force’s screen. I wonder if this integration is much deeper than the komplete Kontrol

    • @notlimited214
      @notlimited214 6 лет назад +3

      From a marketing standpoint, yes but don't allow that to make your mind up for you. This thing is a bonafide instrument period! Unfortunately, we're living in an age where personal politics govern everything relative to assuming who and what a particular product is aimed at. Perhaps not directly from Akai but you have a legion of people who still believe the MPC line is only or primarily for rap production and black users! The Force is really everyone's baby but in this economy and unfortunately, the targeted user is being chosen in advance and that user can spend the $1500 easily and willingly. That user is a sure bet for Akai...the trust fund baby...the gainfully employed...the wannabe Dr. Dre's of society...not the musicians...it's ultimately about who can really buy the thing for the seller. I hope you understand, I'm only being honest here. Sad but really true. Heres another fact...the masses won't fall in love with it until they hear more actual A to Z song making with it. That's my only gripe is having to share the functionality with the DJ demographic. There is already plenty of DJ specific gear on the market... And Denon who is owned by the same parent company as Akai, just released a stand-alone unit for DJ's specifically. The Force would be even better if it had been produced solely for the producer. The whole daw, CPU plus instrument concept is what the Force is, disable the crossfader, lol!
