Cars that should have been in the coupes class: -Ocelot Lynx -Benefacter Schwartzer -Furore GT -Rapid GT -Khamelion The Lynx only beats the Zion's time by 0.3 seconds per lap (basically negligible in an actual racing situation), but none of them are slower than 1:11 - they would all be competitive. I currently own an Exemplar, a Felon and a Schwartzer. I'd love an excuse to get a Lynx for racing, but right now I just can't see wasting all that money on something I'll never use. And I'd love to use the Schwartzer because I love the way it drives, and I think racing with it would be a ton of fun.
As the kind of car it is, the Alpha would've also been perfect for the class, but... it would have a near 2 second lead on the Zion if it was actually in Coupes.
Greg I agree with you on the Schwartzer and Furore GT but not with the Lynx, Khamillion & Rapid GT. The Shyster Fusilade would be better in that list. Lynx is a resemblance of the Jaguar F type which is a Sport car. The Khamillion is based of Fisker Karma which is also a Sport car and the Rapid GT is based of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage also a Sport car.
Rivado Valon Yes the Lynx looks like a sports car but it drives like a coupe so it should be in that class because then people would have a reason too actually use it. The Lynx looks great but you never see it because it's slow and expensive for it's class. Had it been a coupe then it would have been the best in it's class and more people would fork over the cash. I suppose you could make the argument that the cars should be in the class they resemble but if that was the case then half of the coupe class should be in the sedans class and the F620 should be in the sports class even though that makes no sense balancing wise.

I first played GTA Online after I finished GTA V story mode. When the tutorial told me to get a car and keep one as a personal vehicle, there were many choices to choose from on the streets of downtown Los Santos. A Zion drove by and I instinctively stole it. Because I remember from singleplayer that I really loved the way it handles. With no money for other vehicles, I took the Zion out for racing as I progressed and unlocked more upgrades for it. Sometimes people would rather race Supers and I would host my own Coupe lobby. Many rank ups and race wins had happened after that, I am now a multi-millionare with garages full of luxury cars. The Zion? Still in my garage. Never even thought about selling it when I only had an apartment with a 10-car full garage. Always had kept it. In fact, that is still the car I drive pretty often in free roam. That is how beautiful its handling is. It is not Supercar fast so you don't overspeed and get screwed by them unpredictable NPC drivers. The traction is so good you would be able to make maneuvers without spinning out. The brakes work perfectly so there really isn't anything to worry about when you go too fast. As long as you live in the city area of the map, you should try driving it. It is great.
I thought it was great that during the whole run with the 620, he never even acknowledged it. In fact he didn't even utter the name until much later in the video, and only in passing.

Nice video as always Brough. Just have an opinion on the order you should do the following classes. I think that Vans and Off-roads should be prioritised since they have more vehicles that are on the pace. In the Sedans, Compacts, SUVs etc the 1st place is so obvious. Anyway, keep up the great work. Love what you do

Rockstar logic: About half of the "coupe" class are 4 door cars! They should really split the sports class and make this class better because the cars themself are fun, easy to drive and pretty "in the middle". Not slow as sedans(or slower), not too good as sports and supers, and not terribly hard to drive as most of the muscles. Important note: most of the cars in this class can be taken from the street and owned. Therefore, only the upgrades costs money, which make it useful. I actually like them as a 4-door car for the free mode(the 4 door sports are more expensive).
I think classes should overlap, some cars fit in multiple classes at the same time, like some classic muscle cars, why is the coquette blackfin considered a muscle car and the coquette classic a sports classic? They should both be in both of those categories.
Some can be used in more than one class(BF400 and sanchez are most known examples). But it thing that reorder and splitting will give better balance than overlapping, because they will no where near the pace. The classes(for motorized land vehicles) should be: Supers Sports 4 Door sports/luxury(lower end sports, higher end coupes and sedans). Rally(some "sports offroad" like kurumas and the rally sports) Muscles(only the better ones, and few sports cars like futo) Classics(including some classic muscles like the hotknife) Lowriders(some muscles and sport classics which are not so "classic"). Coupes(including some sports cars) Compacts Sedans SUV(including some muscles and offroad like trevors car) Offroad Sports/super bikes Fagios Offroad bikes Vans(maybe) All the Others(and rat loader should be here)
The Buffalo should be in the muscle, sedans and sports class IMO. It would especially be great in the muscle class, where the Sprunk version is close to the Dominator and the Sabre Turbo.
I am not a car expert, but Buffalo doesn't feel like a muscle car(in this game). It is more a "luxury" in my classing. The muscle class in hard to drive for me, and the buffalo(in single player) felt okay The futo is much better example-it feels and drives like a muscle car. Dritt tampa also

The exemplar is a very pleasant car to own, it's fairly quick and incredibly easy to control. It was my go to car until I bought an expensive super car (the tyrus, I love it's look)
Here because the Previon will be the first coupe added years, iirc. An Infiniti G35 Coupe would be a nice addition to the Coupe class (plus I don't we've had a new Fathom in years, either).
Technically the Bati 801rr does have more cosmetic changes than just the livery, the model is different. It's missing things like a license plate and side mirrors, it has a very different swingarm, and a few other, minor things. None of this has any functional difference though, like you said, but it is still a different model.
At 6:03, you got a lap time with the zion of 1:06.600 or so. Are too many kerb boosts the reason why you didn't pick this lap time as a result, or something else?
Do you firstly figure out what to say and record it and only then start cutting video clips to match your speech or the other way around - cut, combine clips and come up with speech to match them?
I think they should drop the coupes class all together and move the slow halv into sedans and the fast halv into sports. Or do what Broug said and move some of the sports into the class.
with how centres of gravity work in this game, does bringing the roof down of the zion cabrio increase cornering stability? to be fair, I have no idea if the roof being up pr down even impacts the hitbox on the vehicle. Can someone shed some light on the subject?
MoAB Snipez that car is gonna be awesome. I hope it has a ridiculous top speed cause the Mclaren F1 in real life has a crazy top speed. I'll test it myself against the Adder, Nero, Banshee, 811, etc. lol

This is my favorite vehicle class. Mainly because nobody owns a custom coupe. I guess this can apply to every class except motorcycles, sports, and supers.

I use the Zion Cabrio just so I can show off by lowering the roof on the start grid! But I was wondering, does the difference in having the roof up/down effect the car's performance at all? And is it the same with all convertibles?
actually the bati 801 and the Bati 801RR have a different model. look at the rear wheel on the 801 it is only mounted on one side but on the 801RR it is mounted on both sides
To judge "the extent to which this is accurate" it would be nice to know the standard deviation of the 5 fastest laps, or some other way of indicating error margin. The final 2 in this video indicates that it is on the order 1/100 of a second, but is this always true?

I wouldn't say the the Windsor Drop and the Windsor are exactly the same. Maybe in a race but other than that one is a 4 door convertible(the only one in the game i think) and the other is just a 2 door.
It's a shame R* don't go further with changes like allowing the use of the Stirling GT in normal sports races. It would be great if cars like the Fusilade, Prairie, Penumbra, etc. could be used in Coupe races.

It drives completely differently in GTA V then it did in GTA IV so how it proformed in IV hardly matters. Even if the V version had a spoiler it would still be terrible.
No, I don't think you understood my point lol. The fact that it has GTA IV pedigree (which was my point) has nothing to do with it's performance.. It's like the Blista compact... terrible car performance wise in GTA as well as the futo, but I'm still gonna get one because it's a staple of GTA. Nobody uses an F620 for the performance, it's more the fact that it's a car from previous GTA games, and also the sound is pretty good. With a spoiler it'd definitely be better, I'm not saying it'd be a competitor for top spot, because obviously not, but it'd still be better
Yeah man. Tell you what though, I think I'm gonna bombard cockstar for a month about suggestions for the game. I did it like 3 years ago before I was featured on their livestream & I managed to get Buzzard disallow rockets in the game, but there's so many little things I'd love to see for the longevity of the game. Jet cannons being changed to non-explosive buzzard cannons for a start, because Jets have been so easy mode since release it's embarrassing to call Jet guys in game "pilots", when they all get shredded in heli dogfights. And updating certain cars with spoilers, like the Furore GT as an example.
Wildfire Yeah i'm with you on the jet thing. For me the big ball buster is the armored Kuruma. Some guy decides to shoot at me from his little armored shell i blow him op loss 6.5k and get bad sport.. Real fair.
The 'Coupe' versions of convertible or cabrio variants does actually make sense in them being faster. The electronics needed to make the drop-top is generally heavy, so convertibles are usually slightly or even significantly heavier than the roofed versions. Having a fixed roof also makes the car far more rigid, and thus better at handling, with less flex and body roll. Not that these are factors that Rockstar has in GTA at all. Just saying XD
Well... There is a very slight difference between the Bati 801 and Bati 801RR, not in performance though. The RR lacks mirrors, has a different exhaust and features a bit more of a beefier engine sound.
Wish you could take different classes of cars in the stunt races. I get so tired of sports, super and motorcycles. It'd be fun to take a shitty Stinger or Z-Type through the tubes of a stunt race.

F620 is one of my favorite cars on GTA! It's top 5 best looking for me and it is fast on the street at least. One of my first cars too

Bringing the roof down does nothing, but buying a non-stock roof option makes the center of gravity higher

Yes this is correct. Off-road will be getting re-done after we get all the vehicles from the latest DLC

actually the bati 801 and the Bati 801RR have a different model. look at the rear wheel on the 801 it is only mounted on one side but on the 801RR it is mounted on both sides
just google Bati 801 and you will see it

To judge "the extent to which this is accurate" it would be nice to know the standard deviation of the 5 fastest laps, or some other way of indicating error margin. The final 2 in this video indicates that it is on the order 1/100 of a second, but is this always true?

Atleast the Zion gets used in coupe races. Tell me when was the last time you saw someone in a Karin Asterope, Declasse Premier, Karin Intruder or Cheval Fugitive? Yeah you properly forget those cars even existed and you had too google them too see what cars i was talking about. ;)

Personally I feel like there's a lacking of Tuner cars, Suvs and Pickup trucks so these are vehicles I hope make it into the game.
I wouldn't say the the Windsor Drop and the Windsor are exactly the same. Maybe in a race but other than that one is a 4 door convertible(the only one in the game i think) and the other is just a 2 door.
I think if you removed all the misplaced cars in sports the coup class would be at least 50% larger.
It's a shame R* don't go further with changes like allowing the use of the Stirling GT in normal sports races. It would be great if cars like the Fusilade, Prairie, Penumbra, etc. could be used in Coupe races.

Why does he hate the F620? Did he ever play GTA IV? the thing has GTA pedigree, all it needs is a spoiler and it'll be slightly in the mix.
It drives completely differently in GTA V then it did in GTA IV so how it proformed in IV hardly matters. Even if the V version had a spoiler it would still be terrible.

The fact that it has GTA IV pedigree (which was my point) has nothing to do with it's performance..
It's like the Blista compact... terrible car performance wise in GTA as well as the futo, but I'm still gonna get one because it's a staple of GTA.
Nobody uses an F620 for the performance, it's more the fact that it's a car from previous GTA games, and also the sound is pretty good.
With a spoiler it'd definitely be better, I'm not saying it'd be a competitor for top spot, because obviously not, but it'd still be better

Tell you what though, I think I'm gonna bombard cockstar for a month about suggestions for the game.
I did it like 3 years ago before I was featured on their livestream & I managed to get Buzzard disallow rockets in the game, but there's so many little things I'd love to see for the longevity of the game.
Jet cannons being changed to non-explosive buzzard cannons for a start, because Jets have been so easy mode since release it's embarrassing to call Jet guys in game "pilots", when they all get shredded in heli dogfights.
And updating certain cars with spoilers, like the Furore GT as an example.
Wildfire Yeah i'm with you on the jet thing. For me the big ball buster is the armored Kuruma. Some guy decides to shoot at me from his little armored shell i blow him op loss 6.5k and get bad sport.. Real fair.
The coupes class is my favorite because it has ALL the BMW's. BMW's are my favorite cars. I wish they could add a M4 and a S1000RR

The 'Coupe' versions of convertible or cabrio variants does actually make sense in them being faster. The electronics needed to make the drop-top is generally heavy, so convertibles are usually slightly or even significantly heavier than the roofed versions. Having a fixed roof also makes the car far more rigid, and thus better at handling, with less flex and body roll. Not that these are factors that Rockstar has in GTA at all. Just saying XD

Well... There is a very slight difference between the Bati 801 and Bati 801RR, not in performance though. The RR lacks mirrors, has a different exhaust and features a bit more of a beefier engine sound.

Wish you could take different classes of cars in the stunt races. I get so tired of sports, super and motorcycles. It'd be fun to take a shitty Stinger or Z-Type through the tubes of a stunt race.
