I would need to know, that nobody tells me an answer knowing it is: there is a hikvision or safire street front, that the interior monitor is NOT mandatory since I am not going to use it, that is, only a street front powered by poe, which would go to the NVR recorder, and from the street front, remove some cable from a basic conventional two-wire doorbell, for example. so that when pressed, it will sound inside the house. (with some kind of relay output, or alarm output... I don't know) thanks in advance for bothering to answer.
are you just wanting to have a chime inside the house when the doorbell is pressed as EZviz have the doorbell and wireless chime kit , would that be better?
@@DVSLTD inside the poe cable to the nvr recorder to record and be able to see the images, and inside only a basic sound bell, to find out when they call if you don't have your mobile on you.
@@franciscomarq3272 well you can add the intercom call station as IP camera to the NVR , I wouldn’t use a core inside the same cable but some people do pinch a pair of cables from it for something like this

Hi , do you have the exact kit? Inside the UK we only support 1 external call station wheras in the US market I believe they made it 2 external stations, and therefore a 3rd would not work , not sure what region are in
Hello, firstly you've got some very helpful videos up and I really appreciated them as I'm not that clued up on security CCTV systems. I'm very interested in getting a door intercom system and this seems to fit the bill so to speak, can you confirm or add to what I want to do plwase. I'm thinking of getting this intercom a DS-7608NI-E2/8P/A NVR a couple of bullet or small dome cameras and a couple of DS-2DE4A425IW-DE eventually. Does the door intercom work with this setup? Can I use this screen to see the other cameras and is it possible to have a screen upstairs also. One last thing, can I hard wire the intercom to my wifi, I don't want it wireless really? Hi , on other intercoms we do yes, but not this particular one, we can only support 1 outdoor and 5 indoor in this particular kit, past this we have other intercom to satisfy that
We have a problem where the 2nd unit won't ring even though it is all connected to the outdoor station. The 2nd unit seems to only ring one time after a restart of the whole intercom system but after that it stops ringing on the 2nd unit again. Any idea? Also, is it possible to setup image capture from the intercom to store it on the NVR rather than a SD card? Thanks in advance
@@DVSLTD This was done and hence the 2nd indoor station will ring but only for one time then any subsequent ring on the outdoor station won't ring the 2nd indoor station anymore.

on the indoor station there is a relay , inside the configuration when using 4200 remote configuration option you can then set the call linkage action to trigger the relay and then connect a chime to this

I bought one of these units. When you press the unlock key on the touchscreen the Normally open contact closes for 16seconds. Normally with electric gates you will only need a pulse to open the gates. Have you see this as an issue when using with electric gates. Is there a way of reducing the 16second to a 1sesond pulse. Planning to install myself in next weeks.
I ended up solving this myself. I used the hikvision batch configuration tool software and was able to log into the settings and there was an option to change the unlock duration down to 1s which is basically a pulse signal, ideal for electric gates.

can you check if there is a firmware update for this, also try uninstall the app and when re-installing please make sure you allow all the options it asks you to allow and check if that helps

Hi , yes it allows that, have you allowed access to the mic when installing the app?, that is the most common cause, does it work if someone calls you from the unit?
Just got this kit ready for installation with the additional rain shield is there supposed to be some kind of seal between the door station and the rain shield to keep water out ?
yeap, when the intercom button is pressed you can answer via the station. then two-way audio. It will also call the app if it is set up at the same time. That way you can talk to them when you are not at home. That has been great for deliveries as I have a gate which I can let them into the front yard to leave boxes by the front door etc.

We have installed few of these kits and most common issue is very low sound at door station however if call is taken from a mobile app then its very clear voice/sound at door station. any suggestions?

Hi , we can supply a 12VDC lock but only upto 200ma and distance is effected , it can come off the outdoor station , or use the relay to control own power and lock , does this make sense?

Hi , yes you can add cameras from the DVR/NVR that are on the Same Lan as this equipment, the current is 16 max channels , and yes you can add the outdoor station camera into the NVR as a IP camera to record

Hi harvi , yes you can adjust this , I add the device myself to the IVMS-4200 software and use remote configuration to adjust it , you can do a lot of settings inside the settings option on the indoor station , I think 5 secs is the min though , I can check if you want confirmation
DVSLTD if I order dvr from hkvision I need to use the 2 wire solution for monitor and cameras. Though the cameras are going to be POE on hkvision’s dvr. Can I at least use those monitors to check the live view from the ip cameras even though doorbell and lcds are connected using 2 between them?

Hi , this system is more for existing system rather than new, you can use Cat5e , it works on older 2 core bell cable and also alarm cable, the quality and age could effect distance and operation that’s all
Hi, Do you need the touchscreen or can you remove it once it's programmed and Can you record direct to the NVR? The gate is about 100m away from the house so I was thinking of using a wifi link and using Hik-Connect for the two way speech as shown in this video. Thanks Matt

The US website drawings show an optional extra outdoor unit which is apparently only available in USA. The service department in my zone has told me it works but not released here
Hi I’m thinking of installing a Poe door bell to connect to my Hikvision 7600 series nvr so instead of paying for cloud space I can record onto the nvr but there doesn’t seem much choice as most the Poe door bell are not compatible with Hikvision so I understand I will need to buy a Hikvision Doorbell but they all seem to come with card access and door opening options I don’t want all that just a simple Poe door bell Maybe you could recommend something thanks
You can use the DS-KB8112-IM vandal POE Doorbell , use this with indoor station DS-KH8301-WT and that will allow the doorbell function , and HIK-Connect, also allows the Camera in Doorbell to be added to the NVR as IPC

Or can I just use a POE switch for both the screen and bell? I need 1 video intercom (with internal relay to trigger separate door access control - simulate button press) and two internal screens. It seems I can do this with either the suggestion above or the DS-701 and not sure which is the best approach. This is for a new install so not restricted by existing cabling. @DVSLTD Hi, thanks for the very informative video. kindly, I need your support :( I'm having issue with mine, the indoor station keeps saying monitoring failed when I try to hit live view button, and nothing is shown from the outdoor station. the outdoor station is powered but when I hit the bell button it will say calling failed :( it used to work before, but I holded the outdoor station button for 20 seconds to change the ringtone, and it was counting from 0 to 8. also when I go to Settings ..> Maintain. the Main door station: Not available. even tho everything is wired correctly.
Hi , you can add more of course , you can do it by using the wizard built in and adding the units, the slave units have to be a different address number inside the menu , its inside the manual as I haven’t got a separate video on this yet ☹
Hi, does the the exterior door station DS-KV8103-IME2 notify that the door is opened by saying "Door opened" through the speakers? My indoor station says "Door unlocked" but when you're outside there is no way to know that the door has been opened, only the blue led is turned on. The exterior door station should say somethink like "Door opened" no? Is it a wiring issue? The video and the audio transmission are working fine so I don't know where the issue comes from.

Hi I installed the intercom and was wondering how to leave the touchscreen from hibernating by itself? Or does it hibernate automatically?
We have installed few of these kits and most common issue is very low sound at door station however if call is taken from a mobile app then its very clear voice/sound at door station. any suggestions?
Hi , thanks for the feedback , out of interest is the volume turned up on indoor station under sounds and turn both up to max , this is most common issue
how do you set up another indoor extension to this two wire setup?

Hi , it wouldn’t allow HIK connect function then so always recommend using a LAN connection to get HIK-Connect facility

Hi , we can supply a 12VDC lock but only upto 200ma and distance is effected , it can come off the outdoor station , or use the relay to control own power and lock , does this make sense?

Hi , yes you can add cameras from the DVR/NVR that are on the Same Lan as this equipment, the current is 16 max channels , and yes you can add the outdoor station camera into the NVR as a IP camera to record

yes if the indoor station used has the relay outputs , this can be linked to call linkage action in 4200 _ remote configuration option

Hi, do you know if it’s possible to adjust the relay function time on this device and if so, how could I do this? I’m looking to decrease the time as I’ll be connecting it to a gate controller and that only requires a pulse of about 1 or 2 seconds to trigger it. Thank you in advance 🙂👍🏽
Hi harvi , yes you can adjust this , I add the device myself to the IVMS-4200 software and use remote configuration to adjust it , you can do a lot of settings inside the settings option on the indoor station , I think 5 secs is the min though , I can check if you want confirmation

Hi , not on this 2 wire kit , but we now have the 2 wire modular intercom which then has a reader module so that will be better for you 😊

You can add cameras to it but it wont record them so please use the DVR / NVR 😊
DVSLTD if I order dvr from hkvision I need to use the 2 wire solution for monitor and cameras. Though the cameras are going to be POE on hkvision’s dvr. Can I at least use those monitors to check the live view from the ip cameras even though doorbell and lcds are connected using 2 between them?
@@aristos87 Hi , you can still view cameras IP/DVR/NVR on the 2 wire intercom system , the 2 wire PSU connects into the network like standard Equipment so it still allows this function yes

Hi harmz, just wire the 2nd one into the distribution unit like the 1st one, and activate it , then under the wizard set the 2nd one up and make it an extension , let me know if you need further help

Hi , yes I have and this worked ok , I down power the unit and then insert the SD card, then power back up and format , what SD card are you using??
@@DVSLTD Powering down the unit before inserting the car was the solution, I guess that's what "do not support hot-swap" meant in the manual :-)

Hi fabian , you have to use IVMS-4200 , I am not sure what version you are using but you may have to update the 4200 version

Hi , this system is more for existing system rather than new, you can use Cat5e , it works on older 2 core bell cable and also alarm cable, the quality and age could effect distance and operation that’s all

Do you need the touchscreen or can you remove it once it's programmed and Can you record direct to the NVR? The gate is about 100m away from the house so I was thinking of using a wifi link and using Hik-Connect for the two way speech as shown in this video.

Hi matt , you can add the camera in the call station to an NVR or Hybrid DVR yes , but you need the indoor station , this is the part that links to the HIK-Connect so is Required sorry

Hi , yes the app does as long as the unit has internet access on the site it will work , and yes wire the 2nd indoor back to the PSU and setup that way is fine 😊

Hi , not to the 2 wire kit sorry , we do have a 2 wire modular intercom unit that supports that if that helps
The US website drawings show an optional extra outdoor unit which is apparently only available in USA. The service department in my zone has told me it works but not released here

Hi I’m thinking of installing a Poe door bell to connect to my Hikvision 7600 series nvr so instead of paying for cloud space I can record onto the nvr but there doesn’t seem much choice as most the Poe door bell are not compatible with Hikvision so I understand I will need to buy a Hikvision Doorbell but they all seem to come with card access and door opening options I don’t want all that just a simple Poe door bell

You can use the DS-KB8112-IM vandal POE Doorbell , use this with indoor station DS-KH8301-WT and that will allow the doorbell function , and HIK-Connect, also allows the Camera in Doorbell to be added to the NVR as IPC

I need 1 video intercom (with internal relay to trigger separate door access control - simulate button press) and two internal screens. It seems I can do this with either the suggestion above or the DS-701 and not sure which is the best approach. This is for a new install so not restricted by existing cabling.
Also can you record from the DS-701 onto a Hik NVR/DVR?
@@shaks1979 These are standard POE so any Switch or POE injector should work , we sell the planet-171 , or you can use 12VDC

Hi to reset passwords please use the SADP tool , click the forgot password option and export the file and send to HIK or your supplier for the password file recovery 😊

I'm having issue with mine, the indoor station keeps saying monitoring failed when I try to hit live view button, and nothing is shown from the outdoor station. the outdoor station is powered but when I hit the bell button it will say calling failed :(
it used to work before, but I holded the outdoor station button for 20 seconds to change the ringtone, and it was counting from 0 to 8.
also when I go to Settings ..> Maintain.
the Main door station: Not available.
even tho everything is wired correctly.
Go into the admin panel on your indoor staition and reset to factory settings.

Hi , you can add more of course , you can do it by using the wizard built in and adding the units, the slave units have to be a different address number inside the menu , its inside the manual as I haven’t got a separate video on this yet ☹

Hi, does the the exterior door station DS-KV8103-IME2 notify that the door is opened by saying "Door opened" through the speakers? My indoor station says "Door unlocked" but when you're outside there is no way to know that the door has been opened, only the blue led is turned on. The exterior door station should say somethink like "Door opened" no? Is it a wiring issue? The video and the audio transmission are working fine so I don't know where the issue comes from.
