@MrTigracho It's sort of implied from the CPs making their way towards the train station during the Escort Mission, although for some reason they still try to kill you.
this map is really cool, and the stuff like the combine shooting at you and destroying the wall, the ability to control the mortar, and the civil protection killing combine soldiers were all really interesting. however i think it would've benefitted from the player not being gordon freeman, but instead just a regular resistance member, like barney. the player wouldn't be able to sprint or collect suit armor, but they could also be receive reinforcements from rebels at points in the map, like when the player is able to open up that one combine gate to return to another point at the beginning of the map.
I'm pretty sure you're not explicitly Gordon in this. It's just removing the rebel voice lines referencing Gordon is a lot of effort and the game is built around having a HEV suit which is difficult to explain plot wise.
i kinda dig that there's a little bit of added spice to the default HL2 stuff. i dunno if it was hardcoded into the map or this is some new modding suite but stuff like the jumping zombies and the mounted RPG are super cool and it'd be sick to have those resources for future mods

this is essentially expanding on the ideas of EP1 where some civil protection are trying to escape the city and try to hijack the train yard the rebels are using.
Always kind a wondered why Civil Protection wasnt teaming up with the rebels at the later stages of Half Life 2 and beyond... cause we see them doing their own thing at some point not following the combine anymore just using their stuff still.
