While the Terrifier 2 movie was more graphic than the first one, the first one actually made me nauseous with him cutting the woman in half starting at her privates area. The effect of him cutting her face in half while upside down was just so realistic looking. Closest I ever came to almost vomiting over a movie. 🤢
The Human Centipede 2 is morally reprehensible, completely rediculous, absolutely disgusting... and quite possibly the best movie I've ever seen in my entire life.

I actually cried during Dead Alive from one of the scenes. I've never cried during a horror film from like, the sheer shock. I guess it should be said that I'm incredibly sensitive to animal abuse in movies. So that's why I cried during the dog scene.

I love horror movies, but body gore can be difficult for me to watch. And real animal death?? I will never EVER pay a director, producer, or ANYONE involved in that sick practice. DISGUSTING.
Agreed. You can do whatever you want in a movie if it's fake, I don't really care, but if you actually cause real-world harm for ENTERTAINMENT, then it's not a movie, it's no different than the sick sadists in the movie, but for real, at that point, they're just real-life criminals. 😠
The 2nd human centipede is definitely the most depraved omg disgusted me horribly for a while the thing with the baby I'm sorry if it's in your head now
Great list! But I’m a little sad I watch them all already 🙈 The last gross movie I recently watch was Trauma 2017, not a good movie, totally porno-gore without any meaning, but definitely first scene super gross. Ah forgot to mention a great Netflix series, not to gore but is disturbing for sure JU-ON origins! Really entertaining ☺️
I'd include these: Adam Chaplin (2011), Angst (1983), A Serbian Film (2010), Aftermath (1994 short), Atrocious (2015), A Perfect Child of Satan (2012 short), Bedevilled (2010), Blind Beast (1969), Bite (2015), Baskin (2015), Cannibal (2006), Cannibal ferox (1981), Carcinoma (2014), Begotten (1989), Deranged (1974), Ebola Syndrome (1996), Eden Lake (2008 uncut), Faces of Death (1978), Funny Games (1997), Frontière(s) (2007), Girl in the Box (2016), Grotesque (2009), Honeydew (2020), The Night of the Virgin (2016), Nothing Bad Can Happen (2013), Man Behind the Sun (1988), Midori (1992), Schramm (1993), Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975), Scrapbook (2000), Subconscious Cruelty (2000), Snowtown (2011), The Butcher (2007), Them (2006), Trauma (2017), The Green Elephant (1999), Thesis (1996), The Tortured (2010), The Loved Ones (2009), Wolf Creek 1, 2 (2005, 2013), Visceral: Entre las cuerdas de la locura (2012),

Thank for the list! I've already saw 7 of them but I already know most of them! (I didn't know Nekromantik, Flowers and The Special, it's on my list to watch! ) I don't think I'm gonna watch the "Guinea Pig" series tho! 🤢 I don't know if you already saw "Strangeland" with Dee Snider, who written the story, but it's a sick ride to watch!
I'm not sure if I should say "thanks for the list, Emma", but I will say thanks for doing the research for this list. Despite my advertence to gory films, I will admit to having seen seven of the films on the list. One of those films I found to be so disturbing (on DVD rental), I had to resort to heavy heckling to get me and my friend through to the end. There are also two other disgusting films I've seen that thankfully were not on your list, but I wish I could erase from my memory. Deep respect to you Emma for tackling this project.
Great list. I actually own many of these. My problem is I have no one to watch them with. A good friend of mine would watch some and question my sanity. A few years ago at a local horror convention, I got to meet Ashley Williams from Human Centipede. She was very sweet. Did you know there's a Nekromantic 2? I have the DVD but I don't know if I ever watched it twice. Another twisted German movie is "Schramm" from 1993. And another crazy Japanese film is "Machine Girl" 2008. Keep up the good work! Keep the lists coming.
The American versions of Guinea Pig are pretty gruesome as well, especially Bouquet of Guts and Gore! Check out these and anything else released by Unearthed Films. Excellent job with your list!!!
The Special has been sat in my watchlist for ages, but I kept finding the naff-ness of it off putting. This vid made me commit some time to it... hahaha... of course, you spend the whole film trying to guess/figure out what it is... the pay off is absolutely incredible. Thanks Emma, for giving me the intrigue to persevere with this one.
There is a film that when I first saw it I found pretty rough, but since then, I get the humor in it. “I SEE NO MANHOOD BETWEEN YOUR LEGS” - Ilsa. And that film is Ilsa: She Wolf of the SS. Campy, crazy, mean and brutal. It may be hard to find, that could be why folks don’t ever mention it. Its a little on the “sexy” side but not full on.
thanks for preparing the list - there are few titles I've never seen so they're now on my watch list :-). Also the fact that I've watched majority and enjoyed them (kinda?) says a lot... Anyways - great video, as always. Have a great weekend Emma!!
Great list Emma. Did you watch the English Version of Inside? It was awful. How funny 😂 I got an ad from The "Church" of $cientology before your video and there's one in Perth, WA.
while it may not be as gory as Ichi The Killer, i thought Audition from Miike was harder to watch. gotta love that Miike appearance in Hostel as well =)
One of the sickest movies I couldn't even watch, purely because they tortured an actual cat for it was. Bad boy bubby. Especially since they even had a animal control officer on set. Just because it was a stray, that's how they justified it. Can't get the disgusting scene out of my head
Raw is a fantastic film, but I'm not sure it belongs on the list. However, surely A Serbian Film does, along with a couple of Romero's 'Dead' films, but there are so many, I'm sure it was hard to cut it down to just 20.
Remember that "disturbing" and "gruesome" can be two different things and some movies can have gruesome scenes but not really be considered gruesome through and through or as a plot point. This was a video on gruesome videos. Though "Serbian Film" has many gruesome scenes, it is more an "extremely disturbing" film than a 'gruesome' film.
I’ve seen pretty much like 18/20 of these, I’m totally okay with gore and practicals but what I could not finish is the c*nnibal h*locaust, the animal cruelty is just too much I had to turn it off and I deadass held my baby turtle in my hands to my chest for a good 20 minutes making sure he was okay
Charlie Sheen saw that movie at a party is the story I've heard. Its not realistic enough that I'd be fooled to think its real, but I did have a glorious 20+ year career in medicine.
I’ve never watched any of these films but I also don’t find gore to be that horrific so it’s never been a genre I’ve explored this deeply. Evil dead has been on my watch list for a while though and I really want to try out French cinema so thanks for the list!
Evil Dead is a great movie! The gore just adds to it. High Tension was amazing! I just hate the ending but some people seem to like it so you might enjoy it.
Thank you so much for the list next on my list if I can find it is Eat and i have to see Tittane. I just found Martyrs the American One made in the late 2000's I know it won't come close to the original French one. I found it on Tubi and added it to my list. I love your U Tubes ♥️♥️♥️
I honestly don't remember finding Haute Tension/Switchblade Romance that gory (though it's been quite a few years), certainly a bit gory but it was more on the shocking/tense side than extremely detailed graphic gore like I imagine many movies on this list actually are. I was kind of expecting to see a Fulci film on there like The Beyond or City of the Dead. In any case with those other films I feel like the descriptions are good enough for me lol. Looking at other people's comments (both on this video and others of yours), I'm a bit surprised to see a lot of people feel like they're getting softer as they age (and relieved, since that means I'm not alone in this case lol). I used to feel brave but I think anything gorier than the Beyond is a pass for me nowadays
Remember that "disturbing" and "gruesome" can be two different things and some movies can have gruesome scenes but not really be considered gruesome through and through or as a plot point. This was a video on gruesome videos. Though "Serbian Film" has many gruesome scenes, it is more an extremely "disturbing" film than a 'gruesome' film.
im an avid horror fan but....human centipede 1 is where i draw the line, Raw, Haute Tension etc were all very good, but thats still a movie...if you know what I mean...stuff like a Serbian Film, Salo and others...no...won't watch it...got a nice Belgian one for you called Calvaire...superb horror (although i would call it an intense drama)...cheers !!!
I'm putting myself as a terrible person because I can't get over how hilariously terrible a partner Robert was that his partner ditched him for a rotting corpse. Amazing.
hostel and cannibal holocaust are one of the most overrated horror movies ever (specially cannibal) watch "inside" insted, and PLEASE, watch the original, not the remake (same as martyrs)
Just wondering but, have you ever watched the Japanese movie "naked blood"? There is also another movie( I think it was banned in some countries?) about Marquis de Sade which is pretty horrible maybe google the movie first its.....yeah. Marquis de Sade himself was a walking horror flim so, I would tred carefully as someone who loves disgising body horror and gory movies that is saying something I wouldn't take it lightly. lol Just thought i'd give you a warning if you do go down that path you have been warned.
Philosophy of a Knife would for sure go on your "movies I couldn't finish" list (being 4 hours long doesn't help). Some things they were doing to the human body were unfathomable. Men Behind the Sun is like Philosophy of a Knife lite. A little better as a movie I guess.
The Special is definitely an amateurish movie, but the concept and payoff, plus the sfx in the last few moments, made it worth the watch. It gives student film quality on all the technical aspects.
it's hard for me to watch some of these types of movies, not because I can't take the violence and gore (quite the opposite since I love dead alive and tokyo gore police) but it's just that it's hard for me to find enjoyment or entertainment in movies that are disturbing and shocking just for the sake of being disturbing and shocking, what I have dubbed "edgelord horror".
Out of these all, I only saw braindead, if you HATE, a sh*t ton of blood, I don’t recommend this, it’s not that disturbing, but it is probably the most gory movie, if you want some really gory spoilers, scroll down. Hello. You wanted the gory spoilers, so here they are! So, it starts with 3-5 people trying to catch a rat monkey, but one of them gets bit, and their hands get cut off, and later on, the grandma gets bit, but anyways, once a nurse visits the grandma, and they become the new almost headless nik or whatever from Harry Potter, and once a priest falls on a hand, stone hand ofc, and then they get stabbed by it, also some teenagers bones that protects the heart, you should know. Gets ripped of their stomach And then another persons that exact bone gets stolen. (Amount of fake blood: over 300 litres or 150k gallons if I’m correct)

@@I.____.....__...__ EXACTLY!!
I don't get why "High Tension" made this list. It's not any more gory than a lot of other movies.
The 2nd human centipede is definitely the most depraved omg disgusted me horribly for a while the thing with the baby I'm sorry if it's in your head now
Great list! But I’m a little sad I watch them all already 🙈
The last gross movie I recently watch was Trauma 2017, not a good movie, totally porno-gore without any meaning, but definitely first scene super gross.
Ah forgot to mention a great Netflix series, not to gore but is disturbing for sure JU-ON origins! Really entertaining ☺️
I'd include these: Adam Chaplin (2011), Angst (1983), A Serbian Film (2010), Aftermath (1994 short), Atrocious (2015), A Perfect Child of Satan (2012 short), Bedevilled (2010), Blind Beast (1969), Bite (2015), Baskin (2015), Cannibal (2006), Cannibal ferox (1981), Carcinoma (2014), Begotten (1989), Deranged (1974), Ebola Syndrome (1996), Eden Lake (2008 uncut), Faces of Death (1978), Funny Games (1997), Frontière(s) (2007), Girl in the Box (2016), Grotesque (2009), Honeydew (2020), The Night of the Virgin (2016), Nothing Bad Can Happen (2013), Man Behind the Sun (1988), Midori (1992), Schramm (1993), Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975), Scrapbook (2000), Subconscious Cruelty (2000), Snowtown (2011), The Butcher (2007), Them (2006), Trauma (2017), The Green Elephant (1999), Thesis (1996), The Tortured (2010), The Loved Ones (2009), Wolf Creek 1, 2 (2005, 2013), Visceral: Entre las cuerdas de la locura (2012),
A lot of those are not gore films though, good horrors but not in line with "gruesome" for me.
Thank for the list! I've already saw 7 of them but I already know most of them! (I didn't know Nekromantik, Flowers and The Special, it's on my list to watch! )
I don't think I'm gonna watch the "Guinea Pig" series tho! 🤢
I don't know if you already saw "Strangeland" with Dee Snider, who written the story, but it's a sick ride to watch!
Research? Its just a list with some very well known classics. But useful for the ‘babies’ that do not know them yet.
Why didnt you name the movies?
@@sixmercer2504 I am too ashamed to admit I saw them. Trying best to forget.
High tension is mainstream stuff compared to some of the other movies on the list.
So happy I've never watched any of these movies)
I went through a phase of watching all the nasties, but I just can't anymore it feels like it damaged my soul
The American versions of Guinea Pig are pretty gruesome as well, especially Bouquet of Guts and Gore! Check out these and anything else released by Unearthed Films. Excellent job with your list!!!
Thanks for the recommendation for The Special, which is playing on Amazon Prime. It met all the expectations you set! Lol
Naked Blood (1996) could be Number 1 for me. It's an interesting movie too.
Can't wait to check these out! Thanks for always compiling important movies in a concise manner
How do you drink out of that mug!? Lol 😂😂😂 I couldn't eat for a week after watching that movie
My watchlist thanks you ❤
🥰🥰
The Special has been sat in my watchlist for ages, but I kept finding the naff-ness of it off putting. This vid made me commit some time to it... hahaha... of course, you spend the whole film trying to guess/figure out what it is... the pay off is absolutely incredible. Thanks Emma, for giving me the intrigue to persevere with this one.
I'm ordering the cup asap. LOVE IT.
😇😇😇
Says a lot about the sad state of the film industry when no disturbutor dares to bring out Tom Six new movie.
Oh, a new video! Time to sit down, relax, and eat my din-goddamn it.
thanks for preparing the list - there are few titles I've never seen so they're now on my watch list :-). Also the fact that I've watched majority and enjoyed them (kinda?) says a lot... Anyways - great video, as always. Have a great weekend Emma!!
In My Skin is probably my fave on this list. Adding The Special and Flowers to my watchlist.
FLOWERS!!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
@@Pstevensperhaps I see you've got them available to watch here. Can't wait!
Great list Emma.
Did you watch the English Version of Inside? It was awful.
How funny 😂 I got an ad from The "Church" of $cientology before your video and there's one in Perth, WA.
The sadness was intense lol
while it may not be as gory as Ichi The Killer, i thought Audition from Miike was harder to watch. gotta love that Miike appearance in Hostel as well =)
One of the sickest movies I couldn't even watch, purely because they tortured an actual cat for it was.
Same! 37 years! Once you see the real thing, it’s all downhill from there 😂
The gore looked like raspberry Jello. But I guess it could look kinda realistic on a rough VHS copy.
Awwwwww snap can’t wait to watch this after work!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
No mention of the August Underground films Mordum was a bad film but great Practical Effects
I’m one of the people who liked High Tension, I’d highly recommend it!
I’m surprised The Girl next door . Isn’t on the list , the blow torch scene will never leave me 😢 x
Remember that "disturbing" and "gruesome" can be two different things and some movies can have gruesome scenes but not really be considered gruesome through and through or as a plot point. Yes exactly what guibox3 said, I mentioned this in the disclaimer
There are hundreds of movies missing from this list … not surprising at all that specific movies are missing.
im an avid horror fan but....human centipede 1 is where i draw the line, Raw, Haute Tension etc were all very good, but thats still a movie...if you know what I mean...stuff like a Serbian Film, Salo and others...no...won't watch it...got a nice Belgian one for you called Calvaire...superb horror (although i would call it an intense drama)...cheers !!!
Can someone please tell me what's in the box in The Special? Because I don't want to watch it, but I want to know, and Google is yielding NO ANSWERS.
I'm putting myself as a terrible person because I can't get over how hilariously terrible a partner Robert was that his partner ditched him for a rotting corpse. Amazing.
Missing the American Guinea Pig, August Underground series. Also missing Atroz, a selection of Lucio Fulci and Cannibal Holocaust.
hostel and cannibal holocaust are one of the most overrated horror movies ever (specially cannibal) watch "inside" insted, and PLEASE, watch the original, not the remake (same as martyrs)
Bunny games, salo 120 days of Sodom and a Serbian film are probably the most graphic things I've seen
Fantastic list Emma, there are so, so many films you could drip in a part two for this list... Dagon could be a good start point
#SA 👍🏽✌🏾 awesome sauce list!! The face of the doctor alone in Centipede 1🤯 lol😝 peace & Blessings ❤💃🏽
There was a DVD release of Ichi the killer that had a fake blood bag stuck onto it.
BODY MELT is one of the only movies I have seen that has genuinely made me nauseous. Something about the realistic depiction of snot...urgggh.
I'm loving The Last of us, i'm curious to know what you think. I just watched Crabs! on Shudder, it really is a WTF kind of movie.
Just wondering but, have you ever watched the Japanese movie "naked blood"? There is also another movie( I think it was banned in some countries?) about Marquis de Sade which is pretty horrible maybe google the movie first its.....yeah. Marquis de Sade himself was a walking horror flim so, I would tred carefully as someone who loves disgising body horror and gory movies that is saying something I wouldn't take it lightly. lol Just thought i'd give you a warning if you do go down that path you have been warned.
dead alive is so over the top you just have to laugh
Martyrs is the real deal. I needed a shower after seeing that one.
Love it emma i can always count on you to give me horror suggestions that i have not seen
Frontiers messed me up
