It's almost like whoever created this iceberg was just trying to 'recommend a movie no one has heard of' with Engineering Red. Great video!!
This iceberg definitely needs an update: - Men Behind the Sun (1988) - Man Bites Dog (1992) - Assassin(s) (1997) - Baise-Moi (2000) - Ken Park (2002) - Irreversible (2002) - Melancholie der Engel (2009)
I loved how the video ended in an unexpected way and your reaction was so funny. You are really good at keeping a light atmosphere even when the themes discussed are disturbing or bleak! While I don't plan on watching most of these I do think it's time for me to watch Come and See so thanks for the reminder. Can't wait for the next one :)
I just watched Come and See for the first time, myself, and while I'm not into watching shocking media very much, it's become a new favorite of mine. Highly recommend!
I went to college with the girl who played Megan in Megan is Missing and it is so wild to see this film's renaissance via social media. I'm 90% sure she's not acting anymore (she's a REALLY talented dancer), but she's a total sweetheart.
I think the iceberg is organized by how obscure/popular it is instead of how graphic it is (hence why Megan is Missing is at the top layer), though level of obscurity and graphic imagery usually go hand-in-hand
I'm not sure about that. Megan is Missing would be on a top layer for most people as it's really not disturbing. Besides being a terrible movie in every way, it's very tame. Like, it's only got a reputation because a load of teenagers on tiktok who have barely even seen horror movies before found it disturbing.
@@markalexander3659 I'd say the movie is disturbing because it's based on actual scenarios that have happened in real life. Granted, I also don't like how the movie portrays it (She says also in this video that the movie became popular with the wrong audience) but it still is based on something real
@@davidci I think it's mainly the shot of Megan in the barrel that a lot of people didn't like. People don't like seeing peoples faces fucked up especially. Like a lot of young people found The Ring disturbing for the same reason. I think the CONCEPT of (I forget her name) having to get IN there with her friends body is disturbing, but I was so BORED by that point, plus the acting, directing, editing etc all being so terrible. I think it IS because the people typically watching it were so naive to horror or anything "disturbing". It's the point of reference. Like, reminds me of the Video Nasties thing in the UK. In 1984, they had a bunch of conservative Christians who hadn't seen a horror movie since the 60s watch stuff like The Evil Dead and I Spit on Your Grave and of course THEY freaked out and banned 70+ movies because to THEM it was a huge shock.
There's a several cuts available that either reduce or removes the animal cruelty if you're interested - one of them sponsored by the director himself who has expressed regret over the animal cruelty. I only say that because the movie itself - despite its reputation - is surprisingly cogent in what it's actually trying to say. There's an actual message there. And the animal deaths were supposed to be in service of that message. Obviously they missed the mark there and there is no excuse for it. I will never watch the original cut again - if I ever choose to watch it again. But there is some context there that most people miss when discussing this movie. I was surprised by it. I'm not saying go out and watch it but maybe give the wiki a look.
Mine too but specifically cats for some reason. I can watch movies (albeit uncomfortably) showing absolute brutality of the worst kind towards humans but can’t handle any depiction of cat abuse. Pretty sure my brain is broken.
I watched it a few months ago out of morbib curiosity, it greatly upset me and I cried at the turtle scene. I think of the film didn't have real life animal death, it would not be as graphic or disturbing as it has become. I do not recommend anyone watch it, it is incredibly upsetting, I wasnt okay for days
Same. Animals & kids are a hard boundary for me. I’d never watch it even with cuts bc it doesn’t deserve my support in any capacity. Whatever “message” it tried to portray can be said in plain language. Period.
Thank you so much for this AWESOME video! Ever since I was a little girl I have had an intense curiosity about the forbidden. If I wasn't supposed to see it I just had to see it! This video scratches that itch in the most entertaining way, and without me having to watch films I know I would regret seeing. You really took one for the team! That said, there are a few mentioned here I think I really do want to see after hearing your commentary. People in the comments have asked you to create your own iceberg and I would LOVE to see that! Thank you again Emma, you are the best!
Maybe you could do a tier list using films you've seen from various disturbing movie icebergs and then it becomes your own iceberg. :) it would be fun to see your reasoning as you move them around. I'd love a category along the lines of "more campy than disturbing" because if I had known Tusk was as campy as it was, I wouldn't have avoided it for 10 years! Other category ideas: "disturbing, but I'd still recommend it." "I regret watching this but I'll recover" "This film should have never been made."
Literally the best channel to subscribe to for all things horror movies. I wasn’t planning on seeing specific movies but the way you describe them are so perfectly accurate.
I know they say this stuff about Cannes all the time, but a “6 minute standing ovation” is crazy. 😂 Set a timer and lemme know if you can imagine clapping for 6 minutes straight. Absolutely not. ✋
I love watching videos on Disturbing Film Icebergs!! I've watched a few and there's a lot of different ones but some particular films always seem to be on there. 😊
The way you feel about Tusk is the same way I feel about Terrifier 1 and 2. They're so over the top, campy and cheesy that it makes me laugh...yeah I'm sick too haha
Phenomenal video Emma! The ending was not what I was expecting, but not knowing what you'd find out made the entire list even more interesting. Your perspective on these films make your channel a MUST for all horror fans.
It's funny that the image of the two girls knocking on the door of the psychopathic Human Centipede is exactly the same as the one in the film "Knock Knock". Only in this film they are greeted by a no-psychopath Keanu Reeves, which is much, much better.
Whoever made this list needs to be checked on. The fact that Megan is Missing is at the top says a lot. It is hard to watch, but I agree that it makes crystal clear the dangers of online predators.
Lol at Engineering Red being at the bottom of the iceberg. I’m a medical student and the other day I extracted fake spinal fluid (yellow died water) from the spine of a cadaver that had no arms or legs, with his chest cavity removed, and the top of his head removed to be able to pour the fluid down the spinal column. It’ll take a lot more than surgical footage to disturb me.
Emma the reason I continue to watch your channel, is because you have a strange combination of curiosity and courage. And you are often unearthing things that I need to pay attention to. As they say here in Georgia, დიდი მადლობა!
I am the biggest horror fan. Been watching horror since I was a kid. For me horror can own all other genres and make it a mix. But I HATE disgusting disturbing horror like the Guinea Pig series. Never watched them either. The most disturbing but good movie I have ever seen is Martyrs
Agree! I went into Blockbuster, & saw the title “most horrific movie you’ve ever seen” something like that, & because darn it I love a challenge & didn’t believe it, I rented it. Watched it. It came off, & I was like this 🛋️😳. I couldn’t move. My husband at the time, asleep. There was NO WAY I was going upstairs by myself!! Why? I don’t know, I just wasn’t going up there alone!! He’s a hard sleeper, so I sprinkled a little cold water on him (I was SERIOUS) to get him up. Didn’t matter, I couldn’t sleep for two weeks. That’s what I get 😂😂😂😂😂

Finally happy to see what you've been working on for awhile and it was well worth the wait great video!!!! I haven't seen Engineering Red but i plan to now. I heard about a disturbing movie from Germany I'm going wstch called Bombshell Bloodbath. It's billed as a zombie movie which i don't usually find that disturbing but we shall see. There were some movies that needed to be added like Nekromantik and Last house On The Left and some that needed to be switched around. I find the original I Spit On Your Grave more disturbing than the remake but what's disturbing for me and you may be more disturbing to someone else or less so. Each list anyone makes is subjective of course.
One of my first dates with my partner was to see Antichrist in the local art house cinema… 17 years and one kid later we watch your videos together to get movie recommendations ❤.
I watched The Coffee Table yesterday and I could argue a place for it higher up on the iceberg. I know you didn't make this list but thanks for reacting to it 😊❤
I would be so interested to see you look at some more of these icebergs and give us your reviews/overviews of them. It could be a whole series and then end with you making your own iceberg! I think that would be really neat, especially since you're already regularly making disturbing content roundups.
This is the tame Iceberg. The original one covered by Wendigoon is the "extreme" one. I have lots of access to random and disturbing films. If you ever need help finding something or want feedback. Subbed. Love the channel.
Well that was a very weird iceberg. Excellent video as usual! Now I kinda want to (!?) watch Engineering Red. I always found any "medical' related horror to be the most disturbing. Now that's a list I'd love to see 😁
I've watched most the movies on this list but one movie I couldn't stomach was 'Headless' (2015). I realised quite early on it was just going to be sadistic, mean spirited murders with no plot for an hour and a half and couldn't put myself through it. The movie that disturbed me the most though was Barton Fink. Rather than graphic violence like most of these movies, that one affected me psychologically. Something about the ending completely spun my mind and made me incredibly anxious for a good while after.
It's as unbearably beautiful as it is unbearably horrifying. I consider it, maybe not the most "disturbing" film I've ever seen, but WAY up there for me. It definitely affected me, mentally and emotionally, far more than any other film on this list or all the other "disturbing" film lists. The close-up tight shots of all the characters, especially Flyora as he goes through his "transformation", are incredible. It's far too beautiful, real, and historical to be in the same lists as most of these other films. Not that I can't appreciate the others. They're simply different sorts of entities. This film actually left me in a deep funk for over a week. Some films have done that to me for a day or few, but not almost 2 weeks. For me, that's impressive.
❤ you Emma! Idk if I’ve ever commented on a vid before but I’ve been watching your for around 6 years now and watch so many good/weird movies because you recommend them! Thanks for the entertainment all the way from Kentucky! lol
Great video as always. Thanks, Emma. Hands down, my preferred source for discovering horror films. Off to update my Letterboxd watchlist (yet again) 😋 just watched Akira (1988) for the first time last week. While not exactly fitting the genre, I did find it had quite a few disturbing elements - certainly the grotesque entity near the end. Also, I seem to recall reading Kevin Spacey had been acquitted, no?
I'm sincere when I say, "thank you". I really appreciate your synopsis of movies, in general, but most definitely when it comes to these kinds of disturbing films that I don't want to see but want to know the scuttle butt of their plots and upsetting nature.
check out "The Vanishing" from 1988 but please don't read about it. It will spoil things for you. Has one of the most disturbing movie endings I've ever seen.
The chicken coop scene is the only reason I didn’t like Pink Flamingos, it actually made me have a nightmare after I watched it, the rest of the movie was campy weirdness
I was hoping to see Come and See on this list, but am so used to people not knowing it exists. I’m so happy to see it getting attention here. I totally agree it is a masterpiece, I think everyone should give it a watch at least once
Same! I’ve seen Salo, Serbian Film, Martyrs, all those…but this one messed me up in a totally different way. Knowing it was based on real events and the fact it was centered on kids made it a much different experience than the stuff I know is fake
Just found your channel and watched your video on disturbing horror movies. Let me add a couple I don’t think you covered: Frontier(s) Spoorloos Eden Lake What Keeps You Alive I Saw The Devil Mientras Duermes Except the first one, which is pure disturbing horror, the other ones blur the line between horror and psychological thrillers, but they all stayed with me for weeks of how disturbing they were. Cheers from Portugal.
There's one movie, that never gets brought up. It's a movie I randomly heard about while looking into disturbing movies. It's called "Where the Dead go to Die" I was very depressed for a couple days after watching it. Imo, "Engineering Red" should of been replaced with that one. If you watch it, please don't judge me. It can also be a little hard to find.
What’re your thoughts on Angst (1983)? I can’t recall you speaking about it. I’m always surprised that it doesn’t pop up on these lists - disturbing but fantastic.
I've seen most of the films on this list and many others. I'm not easily disturbed. Out of all of them, the one that affected me the most, BY FAR, was "Come and See". It isn't gory, nor does it show many graphic on screen deaths. It's the serious subject matter, style and atmosphere, sound design, cinematography, and acting. MY GOD the acting! The fact that this film was based on true events, and the fact that many of the extras were older people who ACTUALLY lived through the sort of events depicted, then willingly reenacted it, just makes it feel so real. It's genuinely one of the best films I've ever seen. It also disturbs me more than any gory body horror splatter-fest ever could. I wept bitter tears for humanity. It left me in a dark funk for over a week. HIGHLY recommended! It's the kind of film you watch once, and then either never again, or a decade later. If you go into it like a challenge, thinking it won't affect you, it likely won't have the intended effect. You have to understand the historical context and the fact that this is like a window into one of MANY rural villages in the former Soviet Union that experienced the events shown in the film. I think the fact that I watched for the first time in my 30s, instead of when I was an edgy 17 year old, made the impact far greater for me. Without life experience, it's hard to truly appreciate just how horrific the events in this movie really are, and really were, in real life. You can find the whole movie, for free, on RUclips. It's the first result when you search "Come and See". A quote from one of the filmmakers, I think the director, was something akin to "Whatever is shown in this film, and however horrifying it seems, what actually happened was much, much worse."
There’s a British film called Mum and Dad that is so disturbing and it takes a lot for a movie to actually freak me out and have that disturbing feeling stay with me, Megan is missing was disturbing as well
I think people are misunderstanding how icebergs are structured. They're structured based on obscurity rather than intensity. Still a great video, though!
It's really interesting how, with being so low on this iceberg, Come and See had a 14+ rating on its initial release and was strongly recommended for students once they hit that age (of course now it's 18+)
I've heard that this used to be shown to high school kids in several countries in the 80s and 90s. I think it's important for young people to understand what the horrors of war and human depravity truly are. That said, I think if I'd seen this film as a teenager, it would have definitely affected me, however, not as much as seeing it for the first time, as I did, in my 30s. The thing is, this movie isn't terribly graphic, visually, in terms of gore and death. However, the overall atmosphere and subject matter of this movie are far more disturbing to me than any gory, body-horror, torture, splatterfest ever could be. There's edgy, then there's Come and See. It's the fact that it's based on real events, and shows the real human cost of war.
I get people like gore and “stuff” disturbing kind of movies but I feel like movies where “stuff” happens to children or animals are just not necessary, feel like something has to be wrong with you to like that
saw this iceberg list on tiktok, wanted to find a review of one of the movies, instead found your review of all the movies - love this for me! thanks for making this video, was a fun watch. If I could change out one of the movies at the tip, I’d probs swap se7en for bone tomahawk, that movie goes bonkers out of nowhere lol
first of all: i always love your editing and the way you articulate stuff. it's so comfy to watch! even when the themes and content being discussed is freaky as hell. now, something that really bothers me with these icebergs is that, the deeper you get, it always seem to delve into pure, indigest, rapey mysogynistic stuff with no redeeming qualities at all. i swear some of these directors are just edgelord incels and vitriolic towards women and other minorities to even THINK that such stories could have any kind of entertainment value whatsoever... but, in the end, if there's an audience, there will always be those kinds of "films". it says a lot. i'm not trying to be judgy, or a prude, or a gatekeeper: i love disturbing horror, i love psychologically challenging stuff! i even think movies like "saló", for example, have actually meaningful stuff to convey to an audience willing to be challenged; pasolini himself was very public about his discontent with society (and how he perceveid it as a queer man in the 60s and 70s). but those deeper-level iceberg movies itch me in a very wrong way. they seem to portray their characters - specially women - in a very disturbing light for shock value alone. i'm actually glad that your experience with "engineering red" was not at all that bad 'cause frankly, sometimes, enough is enough. these conversations should be held more frequently in the horror community imo
Thank you for watching these movies SO I DONT HAVE TO! Just hearing you talking about some of these films is disturbing enough, I couldn't imagine actually watching some of them. Btw you should also check out Windegoon's disturbing movie Iceberg video, it gets pretty messed up!
There are movies here ill never watch. Really appreciate you for putting yourself though the ringer to warn us about whats worth watching and whats not 😊
Pink flamingo is actually the only movie I ever stopped in the middle because it was too disturbing for me and it was the chicken scene where I stopped, that just crossed a line for me and I’ve seen a lot of the movies below that on this list
As much as I'm VERY curious to watch them and experience their disturbing aspects myself, I wouldn't ever do that and I despise these kinds of movies with my whole heart. However, to be even more controversial, I'm obsessed with people taking about them and recommending others to not to ever do that because their soul purpose is to be disturbing and they do it extremely well, so I can be reassured they have no entertainment aspects whatsoever
I can't believe Martyrs ins't on this ist somewhere. Whenever I see a list like this and it doesn't include Martyrs, I always feel surprised that it was left out. Perhaps the film has become a cliche at this point or perhaps people don't find it as disturbing as I do. But I would have definitely placed it at least on the fourth level. I think level five would be most appropriate for Martyrs though. Does anyone disagree?
Martyrs is one of my favorite films but honestly I would place it on the second tier. I didn't find it nearly as disturbing as most of the other movies on this list.
I went into Martyrs expecting the worst after all the hype, and frankly, I was actually disappointed. I've seen other movies that have disturbed me far more that I don't care to watch anymore and Martyrs wouldn't be on that list (not that I intend to watch it again, regardless).
“Hounds of Love” , and “The Snowtown Murders” . Do you think, especially you being an Aussie, two of the hardest hitting movies I’ve seen, but were EXPERT filmmaking?! I know it’s someone else’s list, but would have made my Iceberg list! Australians bring the *heat* to filmmaking!!!
Good call(s). Two of the rougher movies to watch. Each based on actual events. And each well made, better than most on this list. Well, that I've seen. I stopped at Cannibal Holocaust and not interested in going below it.
Lake Mungo is a movie that unexpectedly REALLY disturbed me. I've only seen it once and that was enough. Surprising given I often just have to see for myself if a disturbing movie, documentary or online video is really that disturbing. It's not healthy for sure. And most often don't bother me as much as they should. So, my reaction to Lake Mungo was odd for me.
I'm always surprised the French extreme films don't feature more highly. Martyrs is often mentioned but Irreversible really got in my head and Haute Tension (I first saw it as Switchblade Romance) is a really hard watch
List ideas: could you take specific trigger topics and do individual lists of disturbing films in each category? Like top five or ten or each category.

Spookyrice, Horrible Reviews and SpookyAstronauts watching these disturbing movies so we don't have to 😂
@@suzybearheart530I looooove HorribleReviews & SpookyRice especially
@@suzybearheart530missing out though, some are genuinely really good
I think Spookyrice took a break from the super disgusting content for his mental health. I totally get it . Not sure if the break is over now though
Please make your own iceberg 😂🙏🏼 your commentary is so funny 😆
This iceberg definitely needs an update:
- Men Behind the Sun (1988)
- Man Bites Dog (1992)
- Assassin(s) (1997)
- Baise-Moi (2000)
- Ken Park (2002)
- Irreversible (2002)
- Melancholie der Engel (2009)
I mean there’s like 50’films missing I would add but every iceberg is unique I guess 😂
@@spookyastronauts Would like to see you doing an Iceberg all by yourself
i dont know if i have the strength to make a 4-5 hour video!
Finding Nemo (2003)
Terrifier
I loved how the video ended in an unexpected way and your reaction was so funny. You are really good at keeping a light atmosphere even when the themes discussed are disturbing or bleak! While I don't plan on watching most of these I do think it's time for me to watch Come and See so thanks for the reminder. Can't wait for the next one :)
Thank you so much, this is awesome feedback! Appreciate your support
Which one? Amy's actor? Cos yeah she's really nice
The video nasties thing was even stupider than that. They didn't even watch most of the films they banned and just based it on box and poster art.
@@thelippyserver58 Yeah, like at one point they banned every movie with "cannibal" in the title
Animal cruelty is my ultimate trigger. I will never watch cannibal holocaust, and it makes me angry even hearing about it :(
There's a several cuts available that either reduce or removes the animal cruelty if you're interested - one of them sponsored by the director himself who has expressed regret over the animal cruelty.
Period.
Same
Thank you so much for this AWESOME video!
Expected to see High Tension, Martyrs, Inside & Grotesque on the list.
agreed
Omg Inside yes most definitely!!
Yes, the New French Extremity was strangely unrepresented.
Other category ideas:
"disturbing, but I'd still recommend it."
"I regret watching this but I'll recover"
"This film should have never been made."
id love to do my own one, but thats like 400 films haha
@@spookyastronauts I would still watch if it were 4 hours long
Literally the best channel to subscribe to for all things horror movies.
I feel that way about Human Centipede 3. That movie is just so stupid and ridiculous that it’s funny.

Phenomenal video Emma! The ending was not what I was expecting, but not knowing what you'd find out made the entire list even more interesting. Your perspective on these films make your channel a MUST for all horror fans.
Quality content Spooky Astronaut. Im so glad you're here to inform us.
Ok Se7en is a fantastic movie but should not be anywhere near this list imo
Agreed this was a wild ride!
Really? I could definitely see it being babies first disturbing movie, rewatch Gluttony again man jesus.
@@RuddFoxxAnd lust! Horrifying
Se7en was aa good oldie
It's funny that the image of the two girls knocking on the door of the psychopathic Human Centipede is exactly the same as the one in the film "Knock Knock". Only in this film they are greeted by a no-psychopath Keanu Reeves, which is much, much better.
knock knock is absolutely fuckin ridiculous and keanu god love him is so so bad in it that in the end i kind of liked it despite myself
This is a massive video Emma!! Take a few days to decompress 😂
Love you Emma!
Enjoyed these 👍🏻
Whoever made this list needs to be checked on.

Thank you!
That’s what I get 😂😂😂😂😂
@@macgirlcokey Girl that is funny as hell !! 🤣 But it's also very serious. You better stop watching that sht all together because sprinkling cold or any temperature water on anyone sleeping or awake is grounds for divorce. Next to cheating or Irreconcilable differences.

Appreciate you for taking one for the team 😅
One of my first dates with my partner was to see Antichrist in the local art house cinema… 17 years and one kid later we watch your videos together to get movie recommendations ❤.
I watched The Coffee Table yesterday and I could argue a place for it higher up on the iceberg. I know you didn't make this list but thanks for reacting to it 😊❤
I feel like the films on tier two minus the house that Jack built are not necessarily disturbing, rather just unsettling and weird.
I would be so interested to see you look at some more of these icebergs and give us your reviews/overviews of them. It could be a whole series and then end with you making your own iceberg! I think that would be really neat, especially since you're already regularly making disturbing content roundups.
I really like your summaries in your videos. Great channel!
I love it when you do the Iceberg thingy...can't wait !!
This is the tame Iceberg. The original one covered by Wendigoon is the "extreme" one. I have lots of access to random and disturbing films. If you ever need help finding something or want feedback. Subbed. Love the channel.
Awesome video Emma! Thanks for all your hard work💜
thank you for always supporting
Well that was a very weird iceberg. Excellent video as usual! Now I kinda want to (!?) watch Engineering Red. I always found any "medical' related horror to be the most disturbing. Now that's a list I'd love to see 😁
Fantastic video Emma and so interesting! Thank you so much for the hard work and suffering these atrocities for us!😂
I've watched most the movies on this list but one movie I couldn't stomach was 'Headless' (2015).
The only thing I find disturbing about 'Come and See' is that the cinematography is so beautiful it brings me to tears.
Surprised "men behind the sun" is not on it.
I didn’t make it 🤷🏻♀️ just found it on reddit

Four hour spooky astronauts video... Guess im snackin for four hours straight and also pottentially falling asleep to it
Great video as always.
I really appreciate your synopsis of movies, in general, but most definitely when it comes to these kinds of disturbing films that I don't want to see but want to know the scuttle butt of their plots and upsetting nature.
you are very welcome!
check out "The Vanishing" from 1988 but please don't read about it. It will spoil things for you. Has one of the most disturbing movie endings I've ever seen.
I’ve seen it! I believe I have a video on it
Stanley Kubrick is a huge fan. My best friend laughed at it. Everyone has an opinion. I like it.
Great work
Just found your channel and watched your video on disturbing horror movies. Let me add a couple I don’t think you covered:
Frontier(s)
Spoorloos
Eden Lake
What Keeps You Alive
I Saw The Devil
Mientras Duermes
Except the first one, which is pure disturbing horror, the other ones blur the line between horror and psychological thrillers, but they all stayed with me for weeks of how disturbing they were.
Whenever I think of that movie I think of Alfred’s Playhouse, which is also disturbing.
I just looked at the first few seconds of the trailer. I can totally see how an hour and a half of that would depress someone. Bleak.
I do love some disturbing content ❤ Great video!!
What’re your thoughts on Angst (1983)? I can’t recall you speaking about it. I’m always surprised that it doesn’t pop up on these lists - disturbing but fantastic.
I checked out the trailer and now I'm interested. Thanks.
I love the dark background it looks so good and also fits the theme!
You gotta check in with my girl nyx fears and compare notes. Her video on a different but similar disturbing movies ice berg is iconic
Oh yes I know her! I wanted to do a different one since so many people have covered what she has. Shes amazing
I had Engineering Red in my queue ready to play. Then to find out from you that it was Ho Hum. Thank you for saving time on my life
I loooove “The House that Jack Built”. I watched it in high school and was completely bewitched with the acting, plot, and cinematography. Love it
Where's (the original) Martyrs?
Edit: at 34:16 I read ' Based on Dr Zoidberg' at first glance, haha
Great Emma 😊
'Where the dead go to die' is also a weird one, I wonder where you would put that one on the iceberg.
That movie is an interesting piece for sure. And like…. Really fucked up genuinely
Wait, Henry portrait of a serial killer wasn't on this list?! What about Tetsuo, the Iron man??
Ooooookkkkk. 😅😅
I can’t see how the baby-raping scene in A Serbian Film isn’t the worst thing on this list?!?
It's done in a very satirical way, it's not that disturbing when you watch it
Thank you for exploring this iceberg list of movie that i will definitely NOT be watching in my life 😭😭😭😭
I get people like gore and “stuff” disturbing kind of movies but I feel like movies where “stuff” happens to children or animals are just not necessary, feel like something has to be wrong with you to like that
Bruh this vid is amazing

I never see Thanatomorphose in disturbing movies icebergs and lists
I like the structure of this video where it’s an iceberg and then you do a come with me at the end. 😊
thank you!
first of all: i always love your editing and the way you articulate stuff. it's so comfy to watch! even when the themes and content being discussed is freaky as hell.
now, something that really bothers me with these icebergs is that, the deeper you get, it always seem to delve into pure, indigest, rapey mysogynistic stuff with no redeeming qualities at all. i swear some of these directors are just edgelord incels and vitriolic towards women and other minorities to even THINK that such stories could have any kind of entertainment value whatsoever... but, in the end, if there's an audience, there will always be those kinds of "films". it says a lot. i'm not trying to be judgy, or a prude, or a gatekeeper: i love disturbing horror, i love psychologically challenging stuff! i even think movies like "saló", for example, have actually meaningful stuff to convey to an audience willing to be challenged; pasolini himself was very public about his discontent with society (and how he perceveid it as a queer man in the 60s and 70s). but those deeper-level iceberg movies itch me in a very wrong way. they seem to portray their characters - specially women - in a very disturbing light for shock value alone. i'm actually glad that your experience with "engineering red" was not at all that bad 'cause frankly, sometimes, enough is enough. these conversations should be held more frequently in the horror community imo
Thank you for watching these movies SO I DONT HAVE TO! Just hearing you talking about some of these films is disturbing enough, I couldn't imagine actually watching some of them. Btw you should also check out Windegoon's disturbing movie Iceberg video, it gets pretty messed up!
Great stuff, thanks
There are movies here ill never watch. Really appreciate you for putting yourself though the ringer to warn us about whats worth watching and whats not 😊
Pink flamingo is actually the only movie I ever stopped in the middle because it was too disturbing for me and it was the chicken scene where I stopped, that just crossed a line for me and I’ve seen a lot of the movies below that on this list
I keep seeing
People reference this scene? What happens????
@mistersudz102 a couple has relations with live chickens in between. I'd rather not give detail because youtube
Oof! I am actually glad that the last one didn't live up to it's position on the list! I feared for your sanity 😂❤
Another disturbing movie is the 2007 movie Frontier(s).
Sorry that's Frontiere(s).
Thank you for watching these for those who are curious to learn about the films but won’t go near them!
I feel like there are about 100 films missing tbh.
I stopped at Cannibal Holocaust and not interested in going below it.
i mean my list would be very different this is a really small one.
Thanks for all the suggestions. XD
The Golden Glove is actually well made, but of course disgusting. What surprised me is it made me laugh a couple of times
Emma thank you for your commitment and mental sacrifice to watch these movies for us and the content🫡🫶🏼
The Spanish movie Trauma should be on this iceberg
I cant get past the first 5 minutes of that film
