Emma I've been watching you for 6-7 years now ever since i found your channel. I love your content and you help me figure out if i want to watch something or if it's gonna be too much. And i consume almost everything horror. I hope your condition gets better. Good on you for not trying to hide it or forgo filming while you're dealing with it.
Thanks for swimming through the viscera Emma. This iceberg definitely takes the widest view of Body Horror that one could take. It becomes a kind of spreading genre, like Folk Horror, that keeps swallowing up other categories. I wouldn't include werewolf movies, for instance. Likewise Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I make a distinction between the older Deformity Horror of Phantom of the Opera or the House of Wax, or Eyes without a Face, or Freaks, and the more recent designation of Body Horror. I tend to see Body Horror more as being more about what is inside the body coming out. And the boundary between the inside and the outside. But these things are 'enjoyable' to discuss. Obviously a film can be multiple genres, which is something that the 'That's not horror!' folks don't seem to get. I want to see your version of this list someday Emma! You have my vote. Meanwhile thank you so much for all your work.
As someone who has survived SA, I feel for the woman in Contracted and I have body horror nightmares. I don't think I can watch the film but I appreciate what it's doing. Never heard of it until this video.
Body horror is my favorite sub genre and I am so happy you've made two videos to go in depth of the iceberg and not rushing through it - thank you so much! I found a few new to me movies to add to my to-watch-list this x-mas (The Stuff and Taxidermia on top of it, will check Frankenstein''s Army and ABCs... Zygote as well). ps. the main character in Tokyo Gore Police - did she play in Audition as well?? ps 2.: applause to make up artist who made your transformation. Delicious! ;-)
Emma!!! Are we sure this thing you have on your skin is not viral? I just finished your video, and I’m not feeling good. Can this be transmitted via screen? 😅
Been waiting for part 2…I need the distraction. I had to put my beautiful dog down 3 days ago suddenly. And just after putting my beloved Jack Russell down 4 months ago. I’m beyond devastated and don’t know how to go on. Thank you for the distraction.
I love seeing so much appreciation for Tokyo Gore Police!! Really it's probably the most insane body horror film you could ever watch, I know the clip you were able to show doesn't do it justice. It's not the most gory or disgusting, it's just absolutely bonkers. Also if you like the Tetsuo films, I recommend the Japanese film Meatball Machine. Much heavier on the blood though.
How are Swamp Thing, Jekyll and Hyde and Antlers on the iceberg and not fucking Suspiria? That dance scene made me so fucking nauseous. I’m not arguing it should be more than a few from the top, but it is certainly worse than a bunch of the ones listed in Part 1…
Love the iceberg video's! Who are we kidding, I love all your video's! The commitment to detail even getting infected for the sake of good body horror movies. Please go get that checked out! 😆
Another great list! Some months ago, my mother and youngest sister (early 20s) visited me, and for some reason, Mom wanted to watch Poultrygeist. We all had fun; my mother laughed through most of the gore effects, though my sister was quick to point out she had never seen so many boobs in a movie before. The magic of Troma.
@mememefinally The first comment I read said something about her face looking better or worse so I assumed I missed a video and she had an infection. Nope I'm not kidding you I was that gullible. Guess I got real life s*** on my mind
I was waiting and expecting Re Animator to be at the top of the list of body horror, but it's not even nominated?!!!!? Who's making these lists?! Credibility destroyed
Tetsuo iron man is brilliant. Part two is also very good apparently part three has music from Trent Reznor in it but that film is very difficult to get on Blu-ray.
I respect your willingness to make videos even when fighting an infection. You're pulling off the gauze and dressings tho! You look like a final girl ❤
i'm gonna choose to believe it was coincidence that while watching this I bit my tongue the worst I ever have and started bleeding (i'm fine. also great video)
Im so glad im not the only one that likes antlers. I see its flaws but i was still very moved by it and it fits well with del Toro horror films led by children.
Check out I Zombie the chronicles of pain…I get queezy just thinking about it. I promise it will make u want to vomit. Major body horror and it’s not well known
My boyfriend tried to spice things up by suggesting we try a new position from the Kama Sutra. We ended up more tangled than a pair of headphones in a pocket👅

hate to think how much worse your condition gets in part 3
Plot twist Emma is using The Substance
I saw the thumbnail and instantly thought, 'Oh no! It got worse!' I am so pumped for the rest of the iceberg!

Emma, props for recording and editing these tier vids while fighting that infection!
You're making a great effort to bring up these videos. Congrats Emma!

Hopefully ❤❤❤
Such an amazing follow up video :) Can't wait for part 3!
Thank you so much
I thought I wouldn't make it past the first few tiers, but Excision and American Mary are two of my favorites!
I love them too!
The whole family, Daddy Cronenberg and Baby Cronenberg
A NEW SPOOKYASTRONAUTS VIDEO 🙌🏻 Just wanted to say that whenever I feel like crap I just put your videos on and just have you talking to me all day 😂
I thought the same thing!! Where is Reanimator?!
Also Emma commiting to the bit!!! You should win an award for this.

Yay! So happy to see Afflicted on the Iceberg! It is absolutely underappreciated. This is a brilliant movie!
Emma I’ve started to have the same symptoms since watching the first part! It’s very itchy, warm, and painful… are you contagious??
ohhh no :( please dont tell youtube
Hope your face gets better fantastic list of body horror movies love the Cronanburg shirt by the way
Reanimator is a masterpiece. It’s bizarre that it’s not on the list. Hopefully, there’s a part three.
Thank you so much for putting your body on the line to put this series out for us 🫠
I hope Thanatomorphose is in the third video. I can never work out why it's hardly ever mentioned.
It is!
You're a literal legend for making this series. The time and dedication this must have taken is just amazing.
💙

oh, your poor arm, I didn't realize the infection was capable of spreading so much... good luck covering the next segment 🤭
my favorite two-word review of Society: "The Aristocrats!"
This series will go down as your magnum opus. I hope it gets you a bazillion views and subscriptions.
thank you so much! all that i really care about is that you all like it.
Glad ur doing better , keep us updated.
do i have news for you!

Thanks for the summary. I regret not buying more during the dip.
You will became Elisasue Monstro in part 3...🎉
😂 loved this!

LEGIONS? 😂 just teasing. Love this iceberg.
Me reading this after 70 hours of working on this video 😭. It’s lesions.
Geez Emma, I wanted to send you a Get Well card. LOL…
Hats off to your makeup department. Real professionals I feel. Cheers!
Great 😊
40:45 there are really only two reason I love Swamp Thing
Honestly Hannibal crawled so Antlers could walk
Thanks!
thank you DC
Oh my gosh, Emma--feel better soon! At first I thought it was dressup for the body horror segment
EDIT: Have I been had?? 🫨
It is.........

@shannonrusso3853 that's great! I'm sure that was her purpose. I've seen too much so it takes a lot to fool old me!
I was waiting and expecting Re Animator to be at the top of the list of body horror, but it's not even nominated?!!!!? Who's making these lists?! Credibility destroyed
i knowwww wild!
love found footage and I'm surprised I hadn't heard of Afflicted. Def added to watch list.
ichi the killer not being on this list is criminal
me: i'm not a big body horror fan!
me again: actually has seen most of the films on the list. haha.
it really is redefining what i think body horror is!
I saw Antlers on here and it made me realize that both of Julia Ducournau's films were heavily missed opportunities :(
I’m just here eating peanut butter pretzels, watching people fall apart on screen haha
and this is just the tame parts!
I freaking LOVE The Bay! ❤ It's creepy and gross with little bits of humor sprinkled in, so good!
My lovely son said he hopes you feel better soon 😂 once i explained the bit he was super relieved!
Emma release t-shirt collection with "Baby Cronenberg" creations on it!
Fuuuuuuuuuuuck the bay is the only movie I've ever seen that actually scared me because it's so possible for it to happen. Another stellar list.
I'm not so sure if I would call this infection "under control" 😅
Also I need to rewatch The Bay...
Emma, don't do that to yourself again! It's upsetting seeing you in that condition. Looks almost too real. 🙀
I’ve tried watching American Mary 5 times and end up turning off after 30 minutes… just can’t get into it lol
What will she be transformed into??? That rash does not look good!
AMERICAN MARY was SO wild n crazy. I LOVE BEATRICE!! ❤❤
Melty body horror: "Body Melt" (Australian 1993). A dark comedy about a heavily marketed health regimen that does terribly wrong!
its coming!
I can only imagine what your face and arm will look like in Part 3. 😵
Contacted is so underrated. Watch it!
Belial
i'm gonna choose to believe it was coincidence that while watching this I bit my tongue the worst I ever have and started bleeding (i'm fine. also great video)
Tokyo Gore Police is wild!😮
haha....it doesnt look like its "under control".......i love it though
Im so glad im not the only one that likes antlers. I see its flaws but i was still very moved by it and it fits well with del Toro horror films led by children.
I think its wild it gets so much hate!
omg are you ok
NO!
I've seen Tetsuo, stay away from metal.
Next installment she's just going to be a puddle of goo
Take that @godzilla
I did guess decapitation! 😂
HAHA HOW!?
Check out I Zombie the chronicles of pain…I get queezy just thinking about it. I promise it will make u want to vomit. Major body horror and it’s not well known
Sixty five
You look even more beautiful with that face 😍
love Antiviral btw
In part 3 she will be a skeleton like achmed 😂
Zed,
Girl, what HAPPEND to your face?
Get well soon anyway..
Watch the first video, it is a bit related to the body horror iceberg. As she descends the iceberg, she is subtly worsening her makeup.
First
Just stop popping your pimples !!
What on earth happened to your face?
too much of the good stuff
@ but for real I hope you’ll be OK🥹
My boyfriend tried to spice things up by suggesting we try a new position from the Kama Sutra. We ended up more tangled than a pair of headphones in a pocket👅
