i mounted it the same way but the difference is, i used the rotational snap on. it's best to put that for any type of helmet shape. just easier to get the camera horizontal.
SHAUN ROBERTS, I had considered doing the exact same thing... the only reason i did not was in my head the mount point would be contending with multiple forces - snap on/off & rotational adjustment. i just wasnt sure if the 3M tape would be strong enough but it definitely is... :-)
also raised the camera level high enough that i can peek at the lcd screen to see if whatever it's doing. convenient when operating without remote or phone.
Guess what... I found a straight adaptation of my video/system and it was sad to see no mention of my video. ruclips.net/video/XdDMt669SA4/видео.html :-(
Thanks :-) I have never owned a GoPro so can't say for sure... the clips from one may not mate with the clip base of the other but you can always swap them using the thumb screws. I believe the screws and the locking fingers are completely compatible.
rshnvid I have added a photo at the end of the video showing the breakup of the links... you can arrange the links exactly as I have shown in the photo and link them up leaving them a little loose. Then clip it onto the helmet mount and twist appropriately to get the correct orientation for your helmet and tighten the links up. Hope this helps.
+sonytony18 i forgot to inform u that i figured it out the same day.....however i would thank u for ur reply on this....sorry for the trouble....thanx again..✌️️🙂
I found an un-credited straight adaptation of my video. Even though the lack of credit is a downer, the person has made it into a 'How To' type video with steps and illustrations. It will be a good accompaniment to this video if you are looking for more step-by-step info - ruclips.net/video/XdDMt669SA4/видео.html

as long as you use the same surface mount. in my case it was the rounded 3m mount. it's pretty strong.

Props for giving credit to your source!
Alston Gomes :-) very few ideas are truly original... but the fun is in the details :-D
