Another benefit is that here in India DRL's are only now becoming a mandatory feature. So everytime I take my Versys out for a trip every second person points out that my hea...

    How good is 300V compared to 7100 which Kawasaki uses?

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 3 года назад

      honestly... no clue. imo beyond a basic decent level all engine oils are pretty good and the difference negligible as far as my usage is concerned. Changing oil regularly is probably more important in the long run.

    Thanks for this video. I finally had chance to get known allocation of the plug for accessory relay. I spent long time searching for it in Kawasaki Service Manual without result. If you buy an original OMRON relay in Kawasaki shop you can find detailed description where to find an how to install the relay. But without this video I would not find it. Thanks again :-)

    I did this for a year, 18,500 miles. Worked amazingly. I used Otterbox with the belt clip. Some holes drilled in the belt clip. Well, last night I lost my iPhone X on the freeway. Helmet Bluetooth be like “mobile phone 1 disconnected”. 😰 I’m posting this from a new iPhone 12 amd waiting for my $130 rokform mount and case to arrive. I’m sure it was my fault it fell, for not remembering to snap it in or something, can’t be sure.

    From safety point of view , it is best using the headlight , the beam spread will make car drivers more alert of your arrival because of the throw, if your LED beam can mimic the throw of a headlight than it's good . This one looks more like an indicator

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 5 лет назад

      This was a temporary ChipOnBoard led light strip to test the concept. Replaced with a more focused led having a reflector enclosure similar to DRLs in cars. Also it is best to switch on low/high beam when there is snow/fog/rain/dust. DRLs are no substitute in such conditions ofcourse.

    Can we take this opportunity to clean the throttle body with WD40?

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 5 лет назад

      Is there a WD-40 throttle body cleaner? If you mean the regular degreaser then definitely not. I use Wurth carb and injector cleaner (www.industrybuying.com/cleaners-wuerth-AU.AU.CL.597391/) but you need to reconnect the fuel line and fuel pump power, start the engine and go full throttle while you spray it into the throttle body.

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 5 лет назад

      Let me add that if you are going to disassemble and remove the throttle body then cleaning with wd-40 should not be a problem, but while its on the engine block I am not sure if letting wd-40 enter the cylinder and fuel injector head is a good idea.

    • @MaheshKrishnav

    you could show us step by step on how you did it.

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 6 лет назад

      Do you mean real time soldering and prep footage? Its very tedious viewing and no fun to either watch or edit ;-) However I essentially did the following: - Remove battery & sd card - Open up the casing - (ruclips.net/video/uFARw2gj7oU/видео.html) - Carefully remove lcd screen and ribbon cable connecting it to the mainboard - Remove the top button module and remote control module ribbon cable - Extract the mainboard out by removing the screws that attach the lens to the mainboard - Desolder the mic and speaker - Route 4 wires from a cat5 cable via the plastic casing small grill at the bottom and solder them to the mic and speaker points - Put everything back and close casing Preparing the super small usb power connector was a bit tricky but I basically cut out one from an existing usb cable and slid out the internal plastic holder with the actual usb pins. I then sanded the outer metal shield till it was small enough to sit slightly proud when inserted into the camera. Also cut the plastic slider with the pin connections to size match the outer metal shield and solder the leftmost and rightmost pins to two wires from the cat5 cable to supply power. Since I made this video I ended up gutting this camera in an accident and plan to do it again on my replacement camera. However since I am not actually making any vlogs I haven't got around to doing it yet. If I do I will make some more detailed videos.

    • @bisonsgames
      @bisonsgames 6 лет назад

      yes i mean soldering and all. i dont watch videos for fun. i watch to learn. i have 2 of these m20 cameras and i want to use a external mic. so if you will revisit this hack and do a video on the hole process. would be great.

    How long do you use your cam using external power? We have the same cam. I'm using mine in my motorcycle for about an hour and it gets warm. If I use it on my car and connected tot he cigarette socket, it gets warmer. Do you have the same problem?

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 7 лет назад

      Allen Mongado i keep it on all the time... a but of warming up is expected but the waterproof casing does lead to more heating. i have never had any issues with overheating but never really used it in peak summer yet... i mostly ride at night in the summers to beat the heat

    How to clutchless downshift?? Please make a video on that.

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 7 лет назад

      Suraj Kumar, I learnt clutchless shifting over time mostly by first understanding the theory and then lots and lots of practice. I must warn you that initially you will be screwing up the shifts that will result in rattling/false neutrals/rev jumping/wheel slipping. I still screw up once in a while if I am not paying attention. So remember its entirely your responsibility how safely you acquire this skill. This is imo a good video showing the basics very well - ruclips.net/video/8DZnZRRHCNc/видео.html Most others involve slight clutching to slip the gear and i prefer not to use clutch at all. Also note i use the clutch to shift from 2->1 since I am unable to reliably shift down clutchless on my duke 390 from 2->1 So you will need to spend enough time and practice till you get it right for your bike... all the best! and ride safe!!

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 8 лет назад

      SHAUN ROBERTS, I had considered doing the exact same thing... the only reason i did not was in my head the mount point would be contending with multiple forces - snap on/off & rotational adjustment. i just wasnt sure if the 3M tape would be strong enough but it definitely is... :-)

      Thanks :-) I have never owned a GoPro so can't say for sure... the clips from one may not mate with the clip base of the other but you can always swap them using the thumb screws. I believe the screws and the locking fingers are completely compatible.

  • @anwarducati1
    @anwarducati1 8 лет назад

    Very unfortunate. I don't see any update on JC moto website, they continue to sell the same product. I checked the Internet, most of the frame sliders except the Powerparts use the same mounting point.

    • @sonytony18
      @sonytony18 8 лет назад

      +Anwar Hussain Yup... the flaw in choosing an inappropriate mount point is not unique to jcmoto. All frame sliders using them will not provide decent protection in the eventuality of a lowside crash. I have temporarily fixed it by inserting a strong steel bar cut to size with holes at the right points to connect the weaker mount points to the stronger central lug and its holding pretty well.
