It was! without the Bike Hike and rental company this ride would not have been possible. We even had tools supplied in the bike bag to fix any issues we may have had on the ride, cheers...Andy&Michelle
Tend to agree with you. Rode the trail two years ago late November on non electric bike. It was a Saturday so was busy. Yes you have to be a competent rider to manage some of the challenges of the trail, it's the old Mountain biking thing, 'know your limits'. Also check the weather carry wet weather gear and warm clothes. Towards the end of the trail the wind changed and the temperature dropped. It was time to open the back pack and get the cold weather gear out. If you have not ridden the trail before buddy up.
Thanks for your comment👍🏻 it's important to hear what it can be like when the conditions aren't as favourable as our experience and what precautions need to be taken, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures 4 devices would give me a better chance of filming our adventures for the whole holiday: I killed my OsmoAction at Dusit Buncha forgetting to properly close the battery drawer; I flew my first drive into a tall unforgiving tree in Taman Negara rainforest - which serves me right as I didn't realise you're not ment to fly there. Consequently I'm a nervous flyer. Just editing the Koh Phangan video, it's so lovely to relive the great times whilst editing isn't it?
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures BTW my latest video captured the exit from Dusit Buncha...but of course the action camera just flattened the steep drive
Each of the sign boards along the way is worth stopping to read. At this time of year November / December the scent from the thyme bushes is a delight.
Stunning video and cycle trail. We missed that lake, from Arrowtown we went over the tops to Wanaka via Cardrona. We might need to go back and do the trail! 🤔
Thanks Andy & MIchelle, you answered all my questions at the end !!. As a non E-bike cyclist, I would love to ride this. I guess I will have to keep up with the times hehe. - Cheers
What a great clip. I've driven from Cromwell to Clyde/Alexandra (and back) a number of times and always wonder what the bike trail is like (parts are obviously visible from the other side). It's a lot more interesting and challenging than I imagined. I might have to do it myself... with an E-Bike of course.
Thanks, that sounds a good "add on" to the ride time permitting, just had a look, the track is actually shown on the google street map camera😀👍🏻 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Yes, pretty much a must do if in the area, it does get booked up so worth booking a few days before. We used "Dunstan Bike Trails Limited" the ebikes were in good condition and the transfer back was good. Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Stunning again guys 👌Michelle you must have the best smile in "youtube land", so happy with life and so you should be 😁
🤗 Aw thank you! What a lovely comment to read… that’s made my day ! Cheers

WOW! What a brilliant day. We couldn’t believe how slick everything was in NZ. Bike hire, pick ups, coffee stops. They think of everything.

That ain't no lake silly! It's more of a river
@@Frank-rx8ch its a Lake formed from a river by building a Dam 😀

That looks like a great ride, and another great video - love the title popping up at the start and the use of different types of devices.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it😊 (4 types of device used on this video, not much room left for sandwiches! ) cheers..Andy&Michelle

Thanks Geoff😀 it must be a real multisensory experience with the thyme bushes! cheers...Andy&Michelle

Thanks Chris, there's always going to be a reason to return to NZ! 😀 We missed the Cardrona pass! Cheers...Andy&Michelle

You're welcome Richard and if you are a keen cyclist who has ridden in steep terrain then you would be ok on a non e-bike 💪🏻😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle

Glad you enjoyed it😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Great days riding , if you have some time and energy there is a cool river trail from Clyde to Alexandra before you hand your bike in
Thanks, that sounds a good "add on" to the ride time permitting, just had a look, the track is actually shown on the google street map camera😀👍🏻 cheers...Andy&Michelle
That track looks cool (bit like the one round Lake Garda in parts). Going on the list 😊
