I love restoring vintage odds and ends. What antique do you want to see Restored?
#lostandrestored
Works a hell of a lot better than some of the modern ones.
Agree with you. 💯.
Yep i agree, nowadays is all made of plastic and there is only the money and not the quality that matter 😔
My thoughts exactly.
Damn! I was stunned about how well it works!
@@Jennifer-yy2ri I have one in metal, but it's meant to be stuck on the table and the suckers didn't do their job so I have to hold the machine with a hand, hard down on the table, and, with the other, run the blade; need another pair of hand to change the apple xD
Wow. That one works better than the modern examples I've seen.
I know, I was extremely impressed by it.
@@lostandrestored That Was an Epic Re Pare to boot!
The apple falling off is one of the design characteristics. It is so you can hold one apple in your free hand while the blade peels the apple on the forks, then as the finished apple drops off you stab the new apple onto the forks and keep cutting.
I can’t believe you got that broken peeler working again. It even works better than my new one does. I guess they built them better back then. I will have to keep my eyes open at the antique shops from now on. I love the color too. You do excellent work. Be very proud of yourself.
I’m glad you’re restoring items
I'm glad to bring you a video weekly to enjoy. Thanks for watching!
@@lostandrestored your welcome
Nice work! I couldn't help but smile at your excitement when you got it to work!
Strong work! Working with cast iron is tricky. This is my favorite video so far. Thanks for all you do!
What a fabulous bit of kit ! Fantastic job on the restoration, it looks good as new. Cant imagine such things made today will survive so long and still work in the future. its actually older than you stated in your video, 1878 makes it 145 yrs old.
Very good job! The metal looked really nice under all the rust.
Fantastic restoration! Good thing you had spare parts, I've had to use 2 to make 1 good working product. Hats off to you sir, keep up the fine job!
Great Job. That thing peeled an apple twice as fas as my new fangled, suction cup feet to the counter, plastic one that I currently use.👍🏻😎
That's a real antique food proccessor)) I love the video. A bit of humour but not overloaded. Perfect restoration
I love how much you loved that result dude 😁😁😁. And you deserved it after such a quality piece of work 👏👏👏. 😎
That is a wonderful job you did restoring that broken apple peel3r. At first I thought it was too far gone to repair, but you managed to restore it to working order. It looks much better too. Excellent work as usual.
By the way, judging from your reaction to your own work, you outdid yourself. Well done.
Very nice restoration, that was impressive as hell as fast as that peeled the apple.great video, you put lotta work into that.kudos 😎😎😎👍👍👍
To think how old it is and still works like that.
Wow! Glad you took the time. It looked like a lost cause. Also loved your reaction at the end lol
Great job on the repairs and restoration, it looks and works wonderfully! Loved your reaction when you first tried it!
I loved his reaction, too.😂😂
@@cathybenson5119 So did I.
Genuine joy and amazement.
The fact that you don't talk makes these videos amazing!!!
Wow that really did work out well! I just love how it drops the apple without warning, so fast- and the sound of the machine is quit satisfying also.
Great stuff. I love that you don't use more advanced things like lathes and mills. Gives us hope that we can do great work too with less tools
In "old times" things were made to work and last. No "programmed obsolescence", no plastic parts, you could fix 'em if they broke, as well demonstrated in this good video. After so many year and with some welds, it got fully working again. Better than many "new and electronic" craps of today.
The Eureka moment is thrilling.
That reaction was priceless 👍😂
I would have had the same reaction! What a satisfying end to a beautiful restoration
Your utter joy when it worked was fantastic.
Parabéns meu caro; pelo desmontar, montar e restauro. Sensacional sua arte.
🤣🤣🤣 You at the end!!! That works perfectly man!!!! GREAT JOB!!!
What an intricate/over engineered machine! Must have been an honor owning one of these back then.
Excellent restoration. And surprisingly effective, considering it's age. Thank you for sharing !
This is one of those perfect examples of the old ways are the best ways, or, if it ain't broke... Fantastic job! And I probably would have shouted in surprise as well!
Had the same reaction after first use. Amazing stuff
Such fabulous restoration and besides looking new it’s functionally so efficient. Very well done. Keep it up.
Your reaction when it worked was the best 😁
'I will start with easy stuff and work my way up' : Your words are inspiring to anyone who watches this video. Appreciate the Midas' Touch in your hand. Thanks for sharing this video.
I like how it pushes the apple off the spike when it finishes peeling it! It’s a complex bit of machinery, but it does its job well.
Wow! Nice repair, nice machine. You are now a citizen of the Apple Peeler kingdom.
Since this is broke, definetely fix it! WOW ! That works great!
Great work, I loved the finished, still can see the age of the pieces with a recent paint job and perfect functionality
Incredible restoration..et quel magnifique objet plus efficace que maintenant ! Grand merci pour cette vidéo, and big big greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪 🇧🇪 🇧🇪
Beautiful job. You sound pretty pleased with your self at the end. Well done. Looks brilliant.
This is almost Magic. Insane skill level. Congratulations.
Big surprise on me ! Made in my home town. Good job.😮
The only thing better than the repair was your reaction! I said the exact same thing! Well done, sir.
I was 100% going to say that it seems like a hell of a lot of engineering for somethung that could be done with a knife... but I'll be damned if it doesn't work really well 😂
My thoughts exactly! I wasn't expecting that at all! Great job on a great piece of art.
Great work. Looks fantastic. Loved the apple joke too. 😆 lol
Hearing the excitement, when it worked way better than you thought it was gonna was pretty cool
was für eine tolle alte Maschine - Apfelschäler.....echt so hübsch.
Hearing your excitement when you first used it was amazing haha. It worked so much better than I expected
Beautiful job. Like that you used screws so it can be disassemble for cleaning
Beautiful work!
Absolutely fantastic you have such a lovely way about you so keep up the amazing restoration love and best wishes sue and Andy 👵🏻👴🏻♥️♥️🏴🇬🇧xxx
That was seriously the coolest thing I have ever seen😂
Забавный агрегат. Мастерская работа, уважение!
Find out if it works on other round apple sized fruit! Like oranges and stuff! Make more videos of this awesome thing! Please! Lol
In my experience they work pretty well on pears, persimmons, firm peaches and plums, and even onions and some potatoes. They don't do well with citrus
Nice restoration. That is some seriously well engineered machine gor such a simple job..
Beautiful Restoration
I'm impressed. Looks really good and you never used a sandblaster. Works remarkable too.
This is one of the best projects
Excelente trabajo. Felcitaciones. Saludos de Uruguay.
Amazing piece of art
Здорово реставрация на ура, снимаю шляпу. Мастеру лайк однозначно.
Nice! I wish the apple would stay on though but it works perfectly!
No apples are safe now in your home! Wonderful work yet again from your channel.
Awesome job! Well done . It works great!❤
The best apple peeler I've seen bet if you twist it off it will core it too. Exellent sharpen the corner spikes alittle
Beautiful restoration mister well done
Awesome Resto and what a cool machine!
Fantastic job brother
Nice work! I wonder if it would have made sense to heat up and quench the blank iron parts in oil to protect against rust. They'd have turned black but you could also have nickel plated them to keep them shiny. Just an idea I've seen done on some other channels when dealing with machinery in contact with food products sometimes. Oh and you might consider hand-painting embossed lettering to make it stand out. :) Keep it up!
I never had any doubt that you'd get it working again. 👍
Good Job my friend 👏👏👏
Works fantastic!
We need these things today! If you started to manufacture those, im sure you would have enough customers. Everything today is made to brake down ina month, eat ton of power and blades are 3mm wide and .3 mm thick and get dull in a snap. I know, because ive been testing them.
sick. looks great man. i maybe would take the spit and give a heat treatment and temper so it's less likely to bend?
What you do is amazing 👍👍
1:37 My favourite toothbrush 😂😂😂
Looks great and you did an excellent job restoring it!!!
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
LOOKIN' GOOD, KEEP SAFE..
Thanks Bob! Always good to see you here!
That one works better than the modern examples I've seen../
Que maravilla, herramientas antiguas no conocia . Hermoso trabajo.
You can use some canola oil spray to prevent all those molten ball from adhearing to the surface and needing to be ground off.
I LOVE that color!
Wow, That was cool, awesome job.
Awesome work.
Great video I think that's the first time I've ever heard your voice
Finally! A one that looks like it actually works, and a one that doesn't requires fricking bluetooth for to peel the whole apple for two full minutes.
overly complicated apple peelers have got to be my Favorite old item to watch get restored and tested XD
Like your technic of puting suscribe in vid and vice showing AFTER hit. Love it
Well done.
Awesome job!
Strong work!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Your reaction was worth the price of admission. 😂😂😂
Great job! Painting over wood should be a criminal offense though.
Is so funny, to hear you loughing at the end of the Video. Top result.👍👍👍👍👍
Good work.
😂 your reaction was classic! Nice video.
Wow. Amazing device and good restoration.
Imagine the intelligence of the people of those times, to make a machine so simple and so efficient. And with no electricity.
WOW 😯
