Same here. I grew up wading this one so it will always have a special place in my heart Looked like y'all had a good day - looking forward to seeing it.
Enjoying your videos…what spinning rod are you using for crank baits / treble hooks and ARig. Could you please include Power and action. Appreciate your help! Deb
Hi Deb! Thanks for your support. I don't use a spinning rod much for crankbaits and definitely don't use one for A rigs. However, if I was going to throw smaller square bill crank baits, my 6'10" Medium Power Fast Action Daiwa Tatula spinning rod would be my choice. For A rigs, I have a 7'3" Heavy Fast Daiwa Tatula casting rod that I use if my weights require me to. If I'm on the lighter side, I can get away with using a 7' Medium Heavy Fast Bass-X rod from St Croix. For deeper crankbaits, I usually use a 7' Medium Fast crankbait rod.
I am pretty certain you are on the same river I fish, just a bit north of me. And you saying an 18" is a trophy makes me feel good. I pulled in a 18-18.5 incher on my flyrod a few weeks ago. Great fishing man!!
Congrats! That's a beast on a fly rod, especially this time of year. I'm sure you know what I mean about summer fishing there. So many small fish you just can't keep em off.
I see why you like that river. Thanks for the shout out and dedication. I love that color squarebill on rivers. Looking forward to more videos.
Happy to do it!
Cool to see your perspective! That was a fun float!
Pretty cool getting the one to come out of the log at 11:30 mark. Actually never used the A Rig before. Nice float with some beautiful bass 👍
That was definitely a highlight for me
Love a good backwoods creek . Just got back up north from a good trip down there

Is this down south? All of our streams up north are heavily flooded and muddy right now.
This was a few weeks back but yes, further south of what I normally fish.
Do you got any videos of you rods + reels break down or the kayak set up?
I plan on doing an overview of all my kayaks this fall. Anything on my rod and reels may not come until later in the season.
Looks like you had a good day some decent sammies

@RivermanTV- so many small guys. I probably caught 15 that day. The 18, 1 @ 12, 1 @14 and the rest was under 10. Lol
@@dohman76 I bet that 18" felt like a whale then
Where did you purchase that A rig at?

Thank you!
