    I was expecting some sort of hyper focus attention tutorial but I was pleasantly surprised by the points in this video. I particularly appreciated the thought that we should daily invest into our sense of self rather than just fully into work and for that to be the summation of daily life. It's important because work may fall apart and then we're left with ourselves. What a hard place to be to reckon our value and just be when we lose something we thought was intrinsic to ourselves. We will eventually divorce ourselves in the process. Each yes, each no, each day. It's a sequence of choices till the end.

      Best way to feel rich is cutting expenses; meaning that doing 5 important things that are crucial to your main mission is better than doing 800 different things that are unrelated to the main mission.

    This was exactly what I needed. I often find myself feeling bad for spending time on other things than university, but they do give me a lot of my Energy. I need some variety😅

    Amazing videos of learning methods and deep analytical advice I’ve been looking for. I’m deeply intrigued by how the concept of what you’ve explained to make more time for yourself, for example stacking time and creating energy. I am a student in highschool and I want to do more activities, I’m going to move closer to my school to increase my energy throughout the day, and develop a nice life for myself. Plus playing the right game with studying :)

    This is really intersting because it does to an extent intersect with neroscience. Feom what I recall the brain automaticlly does duration path outcome planning on relationship to the amount of preceived plesure a activity will yield.

    Here I was hoping for some sort of tips/tricks video, but as usual you never fail to get to the root problem and bring out the open-ended questions to handling them.
    Thanks for this video. It validated my desire to do things outside of just studying and working because I didn't want those to define me anymore.

    I don't quite understand the substantive difference between this paradigm and the Eisenhower matrix? Whats the difference between severity/urgency and importance/urgency? I feel like I got a lot out of this video but couldn't quite get that part.

    • @marieperin96
      @marieperin96 2 года назад +2

      For me severity :how hard it is
      urgency : how close is your dead line
      importance : how high is the consequence of failure / the importance of something
      -> exemple 1 : two assignments are both equally hard and the due date is the same day, 1 assignment is worth 15% of your final note the other 40% = choose assignment n2
      -> exemple 2 : exercising is important for your health and for maintins your body shape, if you stop exercising you are not going to see a problem directly but maybe in 5 month you are going to find yourself more sleepy and rigide that is the consequence of not doing it but since it’s not urgent people tend to not do it ( witch is bad)

    Hey Justin, Love the content... just found this video after watching your career choice video (purpose, passion, personality). I'm currently trying to choose between studying to become a neuropsychologist or a psychiatrist. The first option definitely feels like the right choice intuitively but the salary of a psychiatrist is 2-3x greater which is definitely making me reconsider. (especially as it is actually a shorter pathway!) Is career advice and help considering options like this something you could give? - Anyway I also just wanted to point out that I totally understand where you are coming from about being in flow and if it helps to keep you motivated I think that is great! But I think it is important to bring to attention the many studies that show multi tasking can actually reduce efficiency for non autonomous tasks - this would include for example; washing dish's and talking on the phone at the same time.

      Assuming that it's not too late to have this discussion, why does becoming a neuropsychologist feel like the right choice to you? (just curious)
