You should definitely do it! I went back for a second one and wasn't pushing too hard. I'm on stock pads still. DOT 4 fluid is a must imo. Pacific raceways also runs counter clock wise, so not too many right turns 😉
@@AdityaThakral1998 went very well, I did 3 more track days there since then, 4 in total for this year. Going to continue next year. Are you planning to do a few more in future?
@@ruturaj47 I went for another one to get my solo license. I'm planning on getting a oil pressure sensor to see how the 86 is holding up before I put on any mods or start tracking it more
Sorry for the late response. I would recommend flushing out the DOT3 brake fluid and flushing it with some high temp DOT4 fluid in there. That's all I did. Everything else is stock. I went back to the track in early November with the same config and 5w30 oil. Engine oil temps did not go past 235F ish. I also wasn't pushing it to the limit.
Yes! Would highly recommend :) It comes free with the purchase of the car, and if you have no track experience like me, you don't have to worry about the RTV and oil pressure problems which are blown out of proportion for our experience level. Also, pacific raceways is a counter clockwise track, so most of the turns are left turns 😉
I got a cheap gopro mount from amazon. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MUHLRES/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Would not super recommend this one since it was pretty somewhat shaky. The video that you see has *no* post processing on it. So it is the same as what came out of the gopro. I do not use video stabilization on the gopro either as it makes videos artificially smooth.
Raced there yesterday. The instructor had some great comments. Should have watched this earlier!
Just attended the class this past saturday, fantastic experience, and the track is a blast to drive, and the staff/co drivers help a ton!
I went back for a second track day to get my sport license. Had tons of fun! Stay tuned for another video :)
I got a 2023 Premium GR86, just got the upgraded brake lines and DOT 4 fluid. Can't wait to take it to the track!

Looks like fun! Way to go for it.
It was a lot of fun! Going back to the track in the next month or two to get my solo license :)
Nice man, I am taking my BRZ there on this Friday for the IRDC event.
How did it go? Do you have any mods on yours?

This is like the easiest car to learn how to drive a RWD sports car.😊
Yes! I've had it for a year and it's still so fun to drive, still pushing myself to get to the car's level :)
Goes burrrrrrrr
Hey I recently got a brz limited, did you have to do any brake/tyre/fluid upgrades before you took it on the track?

Very cool. Looks like some great coaching! Would you recommend it?
