In this dress tutorial, I share the full process of making the sewing patterns with my measurements and sewing the look together. Will you be recreating this?
Yes!! Thank you so much for sharing this. Have been seeing this style a lot lately, but didn't know how to tweak it for myself! Have a great remaining 2021 and happy 2022!!
Love this dress! Definitely will try it. I like that you include mistakes and talk about how to correct them. This keeps it real and encourages us to persevere.
You are amazing! I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I’m binge-watching your videos. They are so clear and easy to follow - I was able to draft a sleeve block and bodice block for the first time because of your tutorials, and now I can’t wait to try this dress. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and expertise! ❤️
BEAUTIFUL!! I can't wait to try this out. I followed your pants tutorial and modified just a tad bit to make a pair of pajama bottoms for my mom. I just got into sewing as a hobby and the way you explain everything is so, SO helpful! Love what you said about the sleeves too. I love big, fun sleeves but love em even more when they're so functional!! Thank you for sharing this :)

Beautiful. It is so flattering on you. A great idea for a blue crepe I have been wanting to make. Do you think a little sherring in the front shoulder might have solved the problem? Have a fabulous holiday and new year.
Hi Kim. I really watching your videos. I have a request, is it possible to do a tuto on how to draw your sketches that you use in your videos to draw your creations, please? Happy Christmas and God Bless You.
I love this dress and tutorial 🤍. How do you know how much fabric you need for a dress? And if I wanted to make this dress without buttons, how would I stitch the front side of the dress?
Thanks babe For dresses if this style from past times, I use around 2.5 metres/yards of fabric. You can have a side zip along the bust & waistband seam.
Love your tutorials and always look forward to new uploads. I had a question though. What tips do you have for removing the labels on Ankara fabric. I have tried the ironing method and the label comes off but there is always glue residue from the labels left on the fabric after. How do you get the get labels out of the fabric completely?

Great question, I have seen some people use rubbing alcohol to dissolve the glue left on the surface.
@@KimDave thank you! I’ll try that.
How do you know how much width to put at top of sleeve when tracing both arm curve....lovely dress and thanks again pricillia!
I figured over time that 4-5 inches was about enough for my sleeves. Hope this helps
This colour looks beautiful on you what is the material called
Question: Would this design work well in a Jersey/stretch fabric? If so what adjustments would have to be made in the sizing of the pattern?
You will have to reduce the sewing pattern by by 1 to 1.5 inches along the waistband sides depending on how stretchy the fabric is
I just love the fact u use a sharpie other people use a pencil or chalk n u can barely see anything.
thanks for the kind feedback!
Hello Kim, can silk material work for this design?
Yes it can
Thanks sweetie, God bless you
It’s really nice on you but seems complicated.merry Christmas to you too
Thanks Mary.
The dress does have several steps but totally doable.
Compliments of the season to you too
Sewing is basically architecture but with clothing.
