A great interview.. I had to look up her age during it and was amazed to see she is 91. She is still very sharp and seems very genuine and sweet. A pity we couldn't see her.
Trust me Richard I wanted her to be on camera so bad but I understood her wishes. Still it was hard but I was thrilled she wanted to be on my show. I think the world of her!
Great Episode with an Actress that has class. I always enjoyed her acting and this helps me understand what it was like for her. The Elvis story was priceless. Thank you for bringing this to us John!
Thanks again Robert! Barbara has always been someone I have always enjoyed my whole life so it was an absolute thrill to chat with her. I love her beautiful voice and the Elvis story just really gave me a sense of Elvis on a personal level.
Well, I don't know about Barbara having "class". I was disheartened by her saying during that excuse for a pandemic a couple of years back that anyone who doesn't wear a mask is a "noodlehead". That was totally uncalled for. It showed no respect for others with an educated view different from hers.
Such an absolute pleasure to wake up, here in Australia, to this beautiful interview. I actually own an authentic Jeannie bottle and genuine Jeannie Barbie doll. AND a couple of photos with Barbara from her time in Australia. I cherish them all. Thank you, Barbara and John. 💜🙏🙂

I have an autograph in a frame with a Jeannie photo....1972...I was playing in a band at ''Irv Morrow's Hideaway'' in New Jersey....Gracious and classy...She complimented my band and signed my card....I wish I had a camera with me!!!!!

Wow!! Barbara Eden is a beautiful soul (just like she says of Larry Hagman). I grew up in the 60s (In Omaha), and recall all those great shows including I Dream of Jeannie. And now....my wife and I surf regularly at "I Dream of Jeannie" park/beach in Cocoa Beach!!

It truly saddened me to know that Larry chose to drink 🍷 after his liver transplant 😢 I, worked at the Mayo Clinic within the transplant units. Receiving an organ is a gift, and its to be treated as such. Those that didnt were warned and severed from the program if they didnt comply! No one was exempt.

I saw Barbara Eden at a concert at Pine Knob in Michigan way back in the 1970's. She was the opener for Bob Hope. I was surprised at what a beautiful voice she had. She was awesome. Very enjoyable video (but I wish you would have asked her about working with Bill Daley too - he was such a goof ball on the show and the Bob Newhart show.) :)
Hi, John! Wow, what a coup to get Barbara Eden on your channel. One of my earliest memories is watching "I Dream of Jeannie" at age 3 while staying all night at my cousin's house in 1965. For some reason, I also had a vague memory of watching "Flipper" that same night. Years later I did a little research and discovered that those two shows did indeed air back to back on Saturday nights that season. Ironically, I just spent most of today with that same cousin 58 years later. Speaking of Barbara, remember her appearance as a manicurist on "The Andy Griffith Show"? Wowza! No wonder every man in town was suddenly concerned about his nails.

This is a genuinely good interview with in-depth, thoughtful questions. I have seen many interviews with Barbara that had very general questions. I have always wanted to know more specific stories about Barbara and details that she can tell us about I dream of Jeannie and her life, costars, etc. I love little details. Thank you ! If you are lucky enough to interview Ms. Eden again, kindly ask her about her experience working on The Brass Bottle with Tony Randall & Burl Ives from 1964 (before IDOJ) which had a similar plot but with Tony opening a bottle with a male genie instead of a female and where she played Tony's girlfriend. Did she feel like it was deja vu?

I love Barbara! I wish she spoke about Hayden Rorke and Emmaline Henry! No one ever seems to ask her about them not sure why!!? Also I wish he asked her how they came up with the concept of Djinn Djinn the dog! Those were hilarious episodes!
