A few months ago no one could tell me sig could hang with the hellcat or hellcat pro. Honestly I was gonna buy the hellcat pro comp but I didn’t think I would have as much content with it so I picked the sig and I haven’t been disappointed. But my hellcat had zero malfunctions over 5000 rds I have 15000 plus through Springfield over the years and zero. But sigs can be made specifically for the person carrying it 😊
Sig long term because you can’t get bored with it but if he just wants something to shoot every-time no matter what Springfield is the way to go. So if he is gonna love the hellcat pro comp and never change it from factory go with the hellcat. But you can’t do much to them to personalize them changing colors on a few stock parts that’s it really
With all the law suits and such, I am not willing to take a chance on Sig.🤷♂ At the very least, Sig has an image problem... They need to fix that image, at a minimum.🤷♂ I have the OSP Hellcat, the original sized one, it is a snappy little kitten, but man she is reliable.🫡 I put over 1500 rounds through mine without cleaning and she was 100%.🫡
