I gave the 650s to my son, and kept the 500s.

So, in my pair of headphone, I don’t have much of issues like distortion of sound at high volume and I use the headphone above 50% of its vol almost all the time as they don’t sound so loud either. But to be honest I’m not much of a punchy bass lover so may be I haven’t pushed to the limit as you did or may be your set of headphone have some issue. But, if the quality of the audio file you are listening to is very poor then it can also give disturbing sounds.
Shivansh Sharma yes I do find it a little bit off the quality. But I can’t listen to max volume man! And at about 80-90% I don’t think the sound that I am experiencing should be called distorted. I mean there is no unwanted sound, except for the drop in some sound frequencies.

Hi! Yes, unfortunately it has some latency. For Android it's around 103 ms and for iOS 231 ms. So you could experience some delay while watching video content or playing games. I would recommend you to just try them and check out the delay on your device. Maybe it's acceptable for you or it's really minimal. I do hear different stories about the delay 😊
I hate my 500bt. The automatic shut off malfunctions when I use my audible app. They don’t realize I’m listening to books and shut off. I have to reopen the Alexa app before I use the Alexa option, every time. So what’s the point of having the touch button? The sound is horrible compared to my original Bose sound links.
Good question! I don't have any experience with the Major 3 but based on specifications I think the 650BT is better. Besides that I don't like on-ear headphones that much and the Major 3 are on-ear headphones 😊

I have JBL LIVE 650BT. I am happy with the music and its great ANC. But I am suffering the problem when I get a call in the public places/metros/trains where there are lots of noise. The problem is the microphone amplifies background noise and the person to whom am talking with hears a tone of noise and he refuses to talk. The case is the same while I am typing some text on the computer and the person tells he is hearing my keyboard sound much louder than the normal. Hoi! Ik heb een vraag, misschien is het een niet zo’n slimme vraag maar kan hem nergens vinden. Hoe zet je hem uit? Ik krijg die van mij maar niet uitgeschakeld… helppp!!!
This or Sony XB900N or save up for the Sony 100XM3 OR XM4
Definitely Sony XB-900N, they have better noise cancelling than JBL 650btnc 👍
Is JBL 650NC better than soundcore XR with sound quality?
Yes
Does the app works with the live 500? And about the hinge? What's the material? Sorry for all the questions, I really want some good and durable headphones
No problem at all! The app works with the Live 500 and no problems with the hinge. The materials are okay but don't offer that much comfort. In terms of comfort I would prefer the JBL Live 650BTNC 😊
Which has the better Bass? The Live 500 has a 50mm membrane...the Live 650 BT just a normal 40mm membrane...Can anyone answer?
the live 500 sound much better im audiophile
Is the bass from the live 650BT good? Or should I look after another headset
*headphone
I'm trying to make music and i was choosing to get the 650. is it a good choice?
If your producing I'd recommend audio Technica ath-M50X. But for listening the 650's are great.
I agree with Brett! When you are doing anything with music productions or intensive editing with audio, the M50x are the best headphones out there!
Hey there! Thanks for the video, I am clear between those 2, but now I am confused between jbl live 500bt and jbl tune 700bt. When u said live 500 has not much bass. So which one should I pick? Can u help me with that? Plzzz…
Which one did you pick
Is there any lag if you playing games like pubg mobile or any other games while using it? Cause I want to get one of these!
Is it good for gym ?
is it vegan friendly?
Are these 650BT better than Marshall Major 3?
Good question! I don't have any experience with the Major 3 but based on specifications I think the 650BT is better. Besides that I don't like on-ear headphones that much and the Major 3 are on-ear headphones 😊
Hi! Ya I just brought jbl 500 BT and its fabulous. I don't know how turn notification in my phone which is android.
I also own live 500bt and I have a issue which I want to confirm with you. When using JBL headphones app and changing the equaliser to bass the sound at full volume starts distorting. Does this happens with your unit too in preset bass equaliser.?
@@shivanshsharma7196 no
@@likhitn786 you're using android application.?
@@likhitn786 and the preset bass mode in my JBL app and at max volume on song like (Nonstop - drake) there is no distortion at max volume.????
@@shivanshsharma7196 yes I am using android Verizon
i am not happy with the sound on the 500BT . i havemnt checked out the 650Bt. but i have been using the 500 and nxa.. not happy ,
Ive got a question is the 500 ht and 650 bt have diffrent size earcups? Mine was dameged and trying to find a new replacement for it
Is the 650 still worth the 50$ or should I look for something else
It’s only 30 more now on amazon
Yes, I think it's still worth it and as Ugene says, the difference is around $30 now. Totally worth the upgrade in features and comfort 😁👍
5:14 wich bass boost headphones do you recomend?
Sony is really good in the bass type headphones because of the bass boost function. You should check them out :)
Live 500bt has 50mm drivers. Bigger the driver bigger the bass simple as that
I have the 500 bt I use a ipod but it sounds low can you tell if it only for phones or what can I do?
Can you please tell me should I go for one of these two of 700bt?
I would go for the JBL E650BT Pratham 😊
@@TechBoost ohh thank you so much for replying
Do JBL Live 500BT have creaking mechanical sound while one is wearing it?
I haven't experienced that yet! 😁
I bought a new one. It is so annoying. Returning for refund.
Hey I am getting some headphones for my birthday and are considering buying the 650btnc, do you recommend buying or should I get a different pair
I'm getting me mine tomorrow for my birthday
And the 650btnc are amazing headphones and would recommend
I just got the 650BTnc and LOVE them. Tried a few other brands and these are night and day better. I tried Sony, Skullcandy and Sennheiser. JBL is far superior.
@@jasonstock5554 is 650 bt is better than skullcandy crusher wireless?
@@waelbarr6573 in my estimation it's no contest. I hated the sound on the Skullcandy Crushers though. I found the distorted bass to be really annoying and distracting. The overall sound quality on the JBL's is much better. I've now had the 650bt's for about 8 months it looks like, and I'm super happy with them. I use them almost every day.
do you need to turn on if you will usethe 3.5jack cable? or it can be use if the battery is dead?
Yes, you can use bluetooth headphones with a cable even when the battery is dead 😁👍
JBL500 BT works well with andriod phones. but not good for connecting to newer TVs or when used on PCs when on teleconferencing as I did experienced static or crackling sound and drops off.
Hi, I'm confused with Sony wh-xb700 and jbl live 650btnc. I have to buy one of these. Which one is better ?
Thanks.
Hi Prasad! I would definitely go for the JBL Live 650BTNC. Those are over-ear headphones (the sony's are on-ear) and as I see in a comparison the JBL's are made of more premium materials + you get ANC. Besides that they are better based on the specifications 😊 Hope this helps you out!
@@TechBoost Thanks ! :)
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of the bass levels in the 500bt vs the Sony bass boost line? I have had two pairs of the Sony’s but their durability is horrible. Wanting to try a different brand but I definitely want heavy bass. Thanks
Go with JBL live500, solid bass
I have the JBL tune 600 btnc its not for showing off neither is the JBL LIVE 650 btnc
Hi, can you suggest some good bass headphone with good build quality of the same price range?Confused between sony jbl and senheiser.Thanking you in anticipation.
I would suggest the JBL Live 650BTNC or the Sony MDR-XB950N1. In case your budget is a little bit higher, the Sony WH-1000XM3 are awesome headphones to get 😊
@@TechBoost :Thanks for the responee .sonyWh-ch700 or jbl live 650btnc?
@@shaleenmadlapure1405 Based on the specifications and the current prices I would say the Sony WH-CH700N 😁
@@TechBoost Thanks a lot buddy..All the best 🤗
is this also good for pc gaming?
Wouldn't recommend it for PC Gaming. The HyperX Cloud 2 is a really good budget gaming headset 😊
@@TechBoost is it bad for pc gaming??
Do JBL LIVE 500BT sound better than Sony Xb-700? Please suggest.
Sorry, I don't have any experience with the Sony XB-700 but I see those are on-ear and I personally prefer over-ear.
the 500 is 75 dollars on clearance debating at my target debating getting these🤔any youtube or Netflix lag?

I have JBL LIVE 650BT. I am happy with the music and its great ANC. But I am suffering the problem when I get a call in the public places/metros/trains where there are lots of noise. The problem is the microphone amplifies background noise and the person to whom am talking with hears a tone of noise and he refuses to talk. The case is the same while I am typing some text on the computer and the person tells he is hearing my keyboard sound much louder than the normal. If you can help me with some tricks to minimise the amplification of background noise by the microphone of the headphone. Please comment if you have come across the problem.
Hi Santosh! Does this problem only occure when you have noise cancelling enabled?
@@TechBoost Usually it captures noise in both ANC on and ANC off mode. But When ANC enabled it increases capturing the noise more than normal.
My JBL Live 650BTNC ANC keeps automatically on and off by itself repeatedly. How to fix. Please Help
How do you mute these?
Middle center button
Unrelated but are you Dutch?
Yes I am! 😁👍
ik ben ook nederlands
Marshall major 3 bt or jbl 650 or 500 bt.Thanks for the review, great.
Thank you!
I have no experience with the Marshall Major 3, but bases on the specifications and first impression I would go for the JBL LIVE 650 😊
I've seen reviews on jbl that they are better than marshalls and audio technica
Is the B500 hast active noise cancelation ?
No, only the 650BT has noise cancellation 😊
the 500 is pretty uncomfortable. hurts the ears AND top of the head after a while.
This is true, the JBL Live 650BTNC is more comfortable.
Is the shape and stance of the ear cushions the same on both headphones ?
No, the ear cushions on the 650BT are made from other materials. In my opinion better materials and provides you with more comfort 😊
I bought these headphones a week ago and it was a nice experience using this but from a day ago it's bluetooth gets on and off automatically which intrupts the whole fun, i tried unpairing and pairing it again but it is still happening, are you aware of this problem, please share any solution
Look for auto off in the app, they turn off after 10min of inactivity.
No bro it's already off from day one.
I have JBL 650BT but im listening to this review on my Sony WH 1000XM3 headphones. 😅
