I just finished watching a couple of episodes of The Chosen. This song came to mind. Thank you for uploading this song. I remember a choir singing this at a COGIC convocation during the early 80s. I never forgot it.
I haven't this in about 20 some years. It came to me as i was ride at 2 in the morning. I didn't remember all of it til it started playing. Tears started flowing.
This has been one of my favorites for years and I love the way she sings it. My condolences to her and the Nelson family in the recent passing of her husband, Bishop AC Nelson.
I have been looking for this for decades. A radio DJ who is now retired used to play this. We had a station called 107.7 KSOL. I would used to hear this every Sunday morning played by her. I didn’t hear it until around 1982. It drove me crazy looking for this and all I could remember was his name is Jesus. Thanks for posting. By the way, the radio DJ was Sheila Robinson.
I remember them playing this on KSOL!!!! I was a kid!!! And KSOL was one of my favorite Bay Area stations. I was VERY disappointed when it turned to Wild 107 🤦🏾♀️
@@rayedel1975 I share your sentiments. I have been looking for that song for decades like I said in my comment. And we had the best gospel DJ ever. She was also on the second version of KSOL as well. Then, she came along on 98.1 kiss FM until she retired. Not only KSOL had the best music, I loved the advertisements that we had during commercial breaks. Commercials like the hair care products, Kentucky fried chicken advertisements with different singers, they was just the best all around in my days growing up in the 1980s. By the way, I was born in 78. If I can go back in time in a time machine, I would love to go back in the days when we had really cool radio stations.
I Thank God for this song for it carried me through 2020 with My Daughter Tamika Patton singing lead and John Lowe on the Organ and The Holy Spirit was present in “The Room”

Haven’t heard this from since on time immemorial. ‘Ole sister Nelson could sing that reverberating whoop and holla’ deluxe! The writer could have composed a second verse though. Oh well, what does it matter when sister Nelson knew how to boil that pot real good. PWG
