Man I just wanna say I've picked up this channel while searching for a review on the vantage which by the way was an awesome, honest, money saving review, thank you. But also your other reviews such as gaimglass- that i wasnt looking for, but you covered- I checked out and turned out to be great product in accordance with the review! If they ever make a ps5 the stock controller's should all have paddles or extra buttons and buying extended sticks. It can't cost too much more since it's just a extra button/paddle with possibly sticks that can be screwed on and off with different lengths

@@hithere1036 scuff controllers are better quality, buttons can be remapped, theres more buttons, those vibrating ovals can be taken out. Why would sony spend all that money. And why would they bankrupt all those other businesses.
Thank you for this review! I’ve been contemplating about picking up this controller, but I’ve been indecisive. The warranty on these controllers is the biggest deterrent imo. Luckily, I haven’t had any issues with the 4PS. Fingers crossed.
Thanks for the great review. As an old (61) gamer I was considering getting one of these hoping it might help make me a bit more competitive. But I'm not sure it would actually do me any good. I just get destroyed in most gun fights and trying not to admit my reflexes have gotten too bad to play FPS's anymore.
A controller with paddles will give anybody an advantage once they get comfortable with using them. Also, even if you don't have the best reflexes in the lobby, you'll still get better the more you play so just have fun with it and play.
Honestly, deadzone and sensitivity are major factors for me. My older Nacon made me happy till it ran into a joystick issue. Don't care for the macros that much except on Warframe (ability menu mapping) or Battlefield (Left/Right Dpad mapping). The sensitivity and deadzones can make up for slower reflexes to some degree as long as your eyes/brain catch what you're looking for on-screen
Wow, I was under the impression (based on other channels) that SCUF was the holy grail of gaming and that my investment was worthwhile and guaranteed. You’ve really opened my eyes and probably saved me a lot of money. I’m glad you still have more opens to show us, I’ll wait to purchase until this series is complete. I just hope one of the upcoming products is a clear cut “buy”. Thanks for the effort and the honesty!

I have the Scuf Infinity Pro 4PS and it’s amazing I found out about it through unsponsored videos and it was pretty well regarded overall. My girlfriend bought it for me as a Christmas gift and it’s been great. I’ve had it for around 2 years now and I really like the grip on the handles because it’s easy to clean with an alcohol wipe and doesn’t get greasy or make your hands sweat like a squid grip. Was looking at the impact and really wondering how it functions after playing with a friend’s, I really like the design of it and the way it feels in your hands. Thanks for this review hope your channel gets massive growth you deserve it!

Moral of this story, just avoid Scuf controllers, it's like playing the lottery. In that you never know if you're going to win or lose, but you know you're more likely to lose.
The scuf impact is my first scuf and I love it. I bought the basic Impact and play with all the paddles removed besides the the jumping one. It has a natural feel in my hands and it’s great for cod !
I returned my garbage vantage for this...ita not really a bad controller but paddles are kind of stiff and gave my fingers cramps to press so I decided to stick to my fps dominator paddles...guys BY FAR the best option so cheap too ive had for 7 months and still work perfectly
I agree. I have used this product for the paddles for over a year and it's the only thing that actually works without letting me down. I bought a scuff infinity and it was unusable after 2 months.
I have the Scuf Impact as well and my only complaint is the paddles require a pretty hard push. It's difficult sometimes to do a quick double tap because of this. Other than that, I've enjoyed the Impact so far in the ~2 months I've had it.
Finally, an unbiased review. lol I bought the Vantage and I'm already up 2 my second exchange becuz of the sticks. Have you noticed any stick issues like sticking or drifting with the Impact yet?
I’ve got an impact, well sort of, it was broken out of the box and as scuff doesn’t answer any of my emails it’s still broken and unused. Waste of money.
I bought one not even two months ago and it is already discoloring, thumbstick pads already breaking apart, and random disconnects from PS4 and PC. Quality shit right here and lesson learned. Dualshock 4 + back button attachment or nothing at all for me in the future. Looking forward to the new DualSense.

I've had the Scuf Infinity, Xbox Elite, and now using (and love) a BattleBeaver. My Scuf is years old, and still functions like Day 1; the Elite gave me constant problems with dead zones on joysticks; the BattleBeaver is my favorite of the three because of the options they offer, and the fact the rear buttons are actual buttons instead of paddles.
I've actually had my scuf impact for about a year and a half. Everything is still working great. The only issue is that I wish I had gotten the face plate a dark color and not white. Apparently once u use it for a while it's starts to get dirty and the white starts turning to brown. And yes I did wash my hands before every use.
My scuf infinity paddle went out after 2 years. I couldn’t attempt to self repair it because it has a weird security screw on the back. I ended up selling it and bought an impact. Hope it last another 2 years.
Great reviews and Scuff has fixed the Vantage dead zone and i am very happy my new Vantage. Game Stop has a 30 day return program and returned mine for a new one over the counter.
Plutoh Fortnite I got one for Xbox. Within a week the left bumper stopped working. Took a month for them to fix it I got it bank, left bumper was barely working and then it stopped working completely after another week. Bought Xbox one elite, I’ll never get a scuf again
I have ordered the scuff vantage and it has been delayed of over a month so they can deliver it fully functional. If it still has issue when it arrives I swear i'll start a riot
Vincent De Candido friend of mine has been waiting 7 weeks going on 8 now. They keep giving him the run around about thumbstick issues. With no definite date for getting it.
There’s not a lot of difference between the 2 controllers, just seems the impact is shaped more like an Xbox controller , getting one was the only reason I finally made the switch between consoles because personally the standard PS4 controller was just to small and felt weird to hold after being on the Xbox for so long. good controller , had my first one for about a year with no issues , and just recently bought a new one because I wanted a new design. Was going to get a vantage but your previous video about it’s problems was very helpful in making that decision haha. Like your reviews man keep it up 👍
What about the headphone jack? It doesn’t really look like it would fit let’s say razer, the razer jack is is like a 90 degree angle. To anyone that has this controller, does it work?
Out of all my scufs this has been the best one. No sticky ps button for me, but 2 of the paddles actuators stopped working 100% of the time they activate like 90% of the time and the L3 running button I feel is going out.
L3 stopped working for me as well, disappointing since it’s an expensive controller and i’ve only had it for about 3 months. Might be a flaw in the impact because i know someone else who had it for about a month and they started to have the same issue as me. I’ve never had the issue with any of the standard ps3 or ps4 controllers.
Either you’re not taking good care of it, or you just need to clean or replace properly/ on different positions. I have had mine for a year and a half and works amazing.

Mast3RRBlast3RR u can buy the original Sony thumbs ticks from the scuf website, also I would advise u to use mediam length concave thumb sticks they are really good / better than kontrolfreeks in my opinion
@@instinkt8807 this is true about the original PS4 sticks but within a few months the scuf concave (In which I have) wear out so I still use kontrol freeks on them.

I have the same and I am now at a point where I want to have a new one but my scuf lastet 3 years which is okey for me and it still works just not perfectly 1 out of 40 clicks doesn‘t do anything.. But let me tell you this once you get used to the paddles you will never ever go back.. You movement improves so dramatically there‘s no way back😂

I have had the scuf impact for over a year now and i love it. I have big hands so it's ergonomics are great for me. All of the customization of the controller work perfectly for me. At over $200, I probably wont buy another one for quite a long time.
@@griimyyy6202 for quicker response, yes. For more controlled response, no. Definitely get the remaping feature. You have to make sure that you add it when you customize it. There is a slight learning curve but once you get past that, you wont use another controller. 😎🏍💨👍
Good honest review. As an owner of a white scuf impact myself, be prepared for the scuf to discolor from your hands through regular use. The soft touch white material absorbs the oil and grime from your hands.

The reason i love and use the impact more than any other scuf is because the paddles feel closer to my finger. Unlike the infinity i feel like i have to stretchmy finger to hit the paddle.
Watched the Scuf Vantage video and canceled my order so I got the scuf Impact and it came on monday and I have to say I love this controller. My brother and I both got no problems with our Scuf Impacts. The problem you are having with your home button is just rotten luck ours is perfectly fine. Just gotta wait to see how our controllers do in the long run.

Out of all my scufs this has been the best one. No sticky ps button for me, but 2 of the paddles actuators stopped working 100% of the time they activate like 90% of the time and the L3 running button I feel is going out.
WTF! Let my impact start doing that and see what happens!!
L3 stopped working for me as well, disappointing since it’s an expensive controller and i’ve only had it for about 3 months. Might be a flaw in the impact because i know someone else who had it for about a month and they started to have the same issue as me. I’ve never had the issue with any of the standard ps3 or ps4 controllers.

I made the mistake of buying two. Both broke shortly after the 3 month warranty. Garbage company.

I bought this scuff and two months down the line i started experiencing thumb stick drift 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Either you’re not taking good care of it, or you just need to clean or replace properly/ on different positions. I have had mine for a year and a half and works amazing.

Can you remove the joy sticks and put the standard PS4 ones(something similar) for you to add a kontrol freek? I don’t like the joy stick on this controller to be honest. I would like to use my kontrol freek instead. Just wondering.
Yes you can but you can also put kontrol freeks on the scuf thumbsticks you see within this video.

Mast3RRBlast3RR u can buy the original Sony thumbs ticks from the scuf website, also I would advise u to use mediam length concave thumb sticks they are really good / better than kontrolfreeks in my opinion
@@instinkt8807 this is true about the original PS4 sticks but within a few months the scuf concave (In which I have) wear out so I still use kontrol freeks on them.

Clean out the impact it mostly likely catches dust order a controller case to place it in when done gaming

same for me.. I got the scuf 4Ps and I know of those issues.. I have the same and I am now at a point where I want to have a new one but my scuf lastet 3 years which is okey for me and it still works just not perfectly 1 out of 40 clicks doesn‘t do anything..
But let me tell you this once you get used to the paddles you will never ever go back.. You movement improves so dramatically there‘s no way back😂

I have had the scuf impact for over a year now and i love it. I have big hands so it's ergonomics are great for me. All of the customization of the controller work perfectly for me. At over $200, I probably wont buy another one for quite a long time.
I'm thinking of buying one should I add digital tap triggers and digital tap bumpers
@@griimyyy6202 for quicker response, yes. For more controlled response, no. Definitely get the remaping feature. You have to make sure that you add it when you customize it. There is a slight learning curve but once you get past that, you wont use another controller. 😎🏍💨👍

Good honest review. As an owner of a white scuf impact myself, be prepared for the scuf to discolor from your hands through regular use. The soft touch white material absorbs the oil and grime from your hands.

If I can't expect my buttons/paddles/actuators to work or be under warranty for at least 2yrs for a $150-$200 controller, then I'll buy another brand or stick with the factory device. Great review!
The reason i love and use the impact more than any other scuf is because the paddles feel closer to my finger.
Unlike the infinity i feel like i have to stretchmy finger to hit the paddle.

Watched the Scuf Vantage video and canceled my order so I got the scuf Impact and it came on monday and I have to say I love this controller. My brother and I both got no problems with our Scuf Impacts. The problem you are having with your home button is just rotten luck ours is perfectly fine. Just gotta wait to see how our controllers do in the long run.
