Thanks for all you have done for us and i can’t wait to see ya soon online! 😊
Love from France ! I nearly stopped the video seeing you crying, that's a terrible new and I'm very affected too. Hopefully, a few artists (and maybe songs) could be transfered to 2021. That's would be very sad not to see them on stage. I'm thinking about Samanta Tina who tried so many times to represent her country. ESC will come back stronger and that will be a powerful celebration ! I can't wait to see that ! Again, love from France ! As Eurofans, we have to maintain our common passion !
Gutted too at the news today Alesia Michelle. I am really pleased you are going to continue with your videos though as they are a joy to watch. Hopefully you will bring us some cheer in the weeks ahead. I totally agree with you on the extortionate hotel prices in Rotterdam. You would think that hoteliers would be content just to have full bookings for the weeks of Eurovision, without feeling the need to fleece people.
This is all just very, very sad. My heart breaks for acts like The Mamas that we already know will not get to represent their countries on the ESC stage. But if it makes anyone feel better (it makes me feel better), The Mamas won Melfest this year and lowkey they BASICALLY represented Sweden at ESC 2019. Let's be real. 'Too Late for Love' was The Mamas feat. John Lundvik
The roop had to win 2 semis and the final with a great song and was 2nd in the odds potential winner or Lithuanias best result ever now its cancelled it's a shame for them and all the other acts.
I've only found you recently but you are already my favorite ESC Fan because you interact so much with your viewers. I live in Portugal so all I hear everyday is covid-19 and I know how bad it is in the rest of Europe so I was not surprised when this announcement appeared.Still, I'm really sad as ESC was one of the things keeping me calm and sane in all this chaos. I think that the decision was the correct one but I was not expecting a full cancellation (maybe postponing it) but aftre hearing the reasons I do see why it got cancelled. The thing that's making me sad right now is knowing that some artists will lose their chance to come to eurovision and the one´s that will most likely will have new songs that might give them worse (or better :) ) chances in ESC 2021. I hope they all get a new chance cause I'm pretty shure they just want to experience it being the result the least important. Now there are also some good things. We will have the chance to hear the revamps of Slovenia and Croatia for example just for them and not thinking about how they will do in ESC. We can also enjoy the 41 songs and not worry because "our favorite might not qualify" And for the artists that get a new chance in 2021 we can hear their new songs and compare them them to 2020 which might give us 2 great songs instead of 1 in some cases. I'm glad you'll continue doing videos of ESC2020 so we can relax and hear your reaction of revamps, musics, predictions ... Kisses from Portugal and I hope that all of this chaos passes quickly and that you stay well!
OMG Alesia thank you so much for saying you will still put out the content and rankings. I really needed to hear that right now. The thought of all of that work and quality music going to waste and forgotten is just... too much for me right now. I appreciate you so much and if you ever need someone to talk to we are still here, feel free to stream live and we are all here for each other in this sad time ❤️ Thank you for all the hard work and for bringing us together!
As a fellow American Eurovision fan: I am with you, equally heartbroken. I spent the day crying. Eurovision was one of the few things pulling me through this coronavirus fear by giving me something to look forward to and hope for. I really felt that this was the year for countries like Iceland and Lithuania and Romania to finally have their chance. However, I definitely acknowledge that health is the most important thing to consider, and this was the best way to keep everyone safe. Now, I think this is the time to band together however we can, and give our favorite songs all of the love and support they would have gotten if the contest was to go on, and then some. Lots of love to the artists, the organizers, everyone who worked on this beautiful event, along with the rest of the ESC family. Let's be strong, and come back stronger than ever.
Alesia you're so sweet, I feel you. It's a difficult time for all of us, but we'll recover and we'll be back stronger than before, always ready to party! SO MUCH LOVE, FROM ITALY, Arrivederci Eurovision (#stayhomepeople #bestrong)
I am gobsmacked! I just got informed by your video and I had to check it on the internet too Unfortunately you were right. That's really a pity! Me, living in Berlin, and knowing the constant pressure there is nowadays because of this Corona virus issue - can totally understand that if they let this thing going to be happen, there would be a big noise in the media. People would say, that they were not caring for the public safety but just focusing on the money that comes with such an event. I mean, the last weeks people have been going mental here in Europe. They are telling everyone shall stay at home, avoid having contacts and then such a big event. But I thought, they would host it without a crowd and they would find a way to make this show somehow happen. To cancel it all right away - this was unexpected for me.
Thank you Alesia. Thank you for your channel, your smile, your energy, your insight and your love for this unique competition. Your channel, and many others on the same topic, is what kept thousands of people going in these seriously challenging times. Don t give up on us, as we won t give up on you!
This is from our newspaper in Sweden: "This means that all entries are disqualified from the competition. The Mamas will therefore not compete with their contribution "Move" at all."
Yes, go ahead with your content! I’m devastated, I look forward to the Eurovision Song Contest every year. It’s obviously not a decision that has been made lightly, but I think we are allowed to wallow in our collective sadness for a while. 🥺

Thankful to countries like Spain and The Netherlands who have already shown support and trust in the artists they internally selected by announcing that they will be the representatives in 2021. It shows the love those delegations have for the contest and their acts.

How refreshing it is to watch you. It gives me goosebumps of nostalgia, thinking of the pre-covid good old time. Seeing from Paris it is obvious, from a few weeks already, that eurovision could not take place this year. It sounded even surreal to hope for that to occur in the current world and European situation. Hopefully, if we can get a vaccine in less than a year, we will all come together to celebrate 2021. What a party that will be !
Heartbroken. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I always related to you saying that this is your platform to talk about Eurovision, even though I'm from Israel, not many of my friends are as engaged to the ESC as I am. So there's a little consolation in this video, because everybody is just like "duh, of course ESC is cancelled, do you need a reality check? It's just a show"... But they don't see it the same way. This is so heartbreaking. :(
Thank you, Alesia, for such an honest reaction. Living here in the US I can totally relate to you. None of my friends have any idea what Eurovision even is. These reaction videos have been something I have had such a great time listening to/watching the last month. It was nice find people that are as interested in Eurovision as I am. Your videos have been some that I be sure to watch, even if our thoughts on an artist/song are polar opposites. Thank you for doing this. I would love to see more videos on your thoughts about the 2020 contestants, even though the contest will not be happening.
@@AlesiaMichelle I look forward to seeing your rankings. I have never posted a ranking of my own anywhere, but it would be cool to see how different our rankings would be (and I'm pretty sure they would be pretty different).
I'm not sure I was ready for the upbeat intro before such a sad topic lol, but seriously gutted by the news. I know in the grand scheme of things, it's a song contest while people are dying, but I guess it's that sense of mental/emotional normalcy that is being eroded by all these cancellations. Events like ESC get people excited, their hopes up, bring a sense of joy and fun to the world. Losing a lot of these things (ESC, sports, movie theaters, eating out, etc.) for a while has been really tough, but losing ESC is one of the hardest for me as Eurovision season is so awesome and crazy building up to the contest, and this is the first year in a while that it just isn't there, plus I also don't really have others to share this loss with being in the US. I actually have wanted to start doing videos for a couple years on it similarly to you Alesia as an outlet for my ESC love, but alas. In the meantime, wishing you all safety and good health.
I am heartbroken because this would be ofically the 10 year thath i am a Eurovision fan,but i understand the circumstances and i am still hopeful that maybe not in may but somewhere in late 2020 when situation gets better, because right now its really dificult times in the world and the best thing to do is to be united and stand together, but im still hoping for the best outcome in all this, and nobody dosent want to put contestants, fans, and everyone involved in eurovision to be in danger, because sometimes people forget that they are not robots they are human to they have familys and loved ones to think about first so i complete get the situtation, and send best of luck to everyone.. (Sorry for my english, its not my first language try my best)
It is really sad, that this years contest will not take place. It is something I love so much(The celebration of music and coming together of people) and look forward to see in TV. I was as you hoping for some sort of solution, but from people online etc, I knew, that this might be a possibillity. But we just have to wait untill next year then. Sending a big hug and thanks for all your work. I think that Rotterdam will get the hosting next year, and maybe the acts can come back with a new song, if they want to. If it's gonna be all new acts(both singer and song), maybe they can do an interval act where some of this years songs get performed. Now that you have less to feature this year, when you can't go to the show obviously etc, maybe you could still do a ranking of the songs that should have competed this years/a full reaction video to all of the songs, and maybe you could go back in time with some videos reacting to the songs from past contests like 2000, 2001, 2002 and so on til 2009 or videos reacting to or ranking 1st places, 2nd places, 3rd places, even last places from the start of the contest in 1956 untill today or from 2000 untill today, if you feel like it.
Sending a big hug Alesia, was a lot of wishful thinking for all of us but at least we know I guess, hopefully, see you on the ground there for Eurovision 2021!!! Don't let this kill your fire
Hi feel so sad as well. I am a fan and faithful follower of Eurovision since 1975. Never thought I would witness something like this. Like you I am heartbroken. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe all the fans United could organize a big virtual event on May to celebrate Eurovison and even maybe organize an independent Eurovison contest with this year’s song.
I am sad, I was really looking forward to have it in Rotterdam, hopefully we can host 2021 and have a blast next year. Lets get throught this depression together and come out stronger. Lots of love from the Netherlands
I Don’t care whether the songs will become outdated or not, let’s just make this contest happen in 2021 with a very long build-up and make it one of the greatest Eurovisions ever! 🤩
hi, Alesia Michelle's I'm from dc as well and sending a virtual warm hug to you end everybody. obviously, health comes first, and it's clear that this is the right thing to do, but still, for all the people in this ESC family bobble, many of us stuck at home with nothing to do this was the comment relife from all this terrible coronavirus breaking news we get every 10 minutes. I was looking forward to go to Rotterdam this may and meet many of you and sadly this will not happen this year. meanwhile, stay safe and healthy all of you and let's all pray that this crazy time will out of our life.
Alesia I want to tell you that I am a huge fan. You are frustrated and is totally fine. You have to express it. I am frustrated like hell. But we will make it. We will get through this. I feel for the artists big time, since they have their dreams shuttered, especially those who are not returning next year (Uke, The Mamas...). I feel like they were exploited, becuase they had weak songs. Anyway, keep the spirit up! Kisses from Greece
As sad as I am about this, I just hope that next year eurovision will be held in the netherlands with the same artists and different songs. They diserve this
We 're all so sorry Alesia. No one expected this to actually happen. Eurovision is the highlight of the year for all of us. But i think we should all be patient for eurovision 2021 and thankful for at least having the chance to listen to the songs that were supposed to participate. Don't be sad! We want you to continue your amazing videos and share your opinions like nothing happened!
this is really a crazy time we are in - all together. all of the events that got cancelled were there to connect people with each other. i really understand, why they had to cancel it, but since l am also part of it, even just as a gf, i know so many people that worked their arsses of for this ..and now the decision has been made to cancel it. . i think this was a good desicion. it still hurts ofc. but knowing that there are so many people that will still support all the artist, that warms my heart. and l wanna thank y'all so much for this support. people, please be safe. stay at home and if you go outside, be awake!! remember that you shouldnt come close to others and just dont touch things etc. you know what you gotta do. guys i send all my love! you are amazing.. thank you!
Ah, feel it for you, Alesia, I really do. I grew up with Eurovision and for me too it's the absolute highlight of my year, with friends from lots of different countries getting together to celebrate such a long-standing European cultural communion. We will all come back next year, and we'll be all the more enthusiastic and appreciative of it. Take care of yourself in this dangerous time, and looking forward to listening to all your insights for the next edition.
We are living in a pandemic! I ADORE Eurovision but even getting out of YOUR HOUSE now can be lethal for you and your contacts. Imagine the risk for the contestants who would have to travel. Even if they had the chance to compete from their countries, that wouldn't give us the same AWESOME vibe like the previous years. I am happy that eurovision will be organised and presented normally and without risk for our lives. I'm sad for some songs though... I would prefer to listen to the same songs next year. Greetings and love from Greece 🇬🇷💪❤
Crying so much right now. We needed some happiness and love in a time of great uncertainty and fear. Eurovision is just such an amazing time with so many amazing artists - in the national selection, semis and finals. I hope many of these artists return (I know some aren't) because it would have been an epic contest!
This is such a bummer, but it's sadly necessary to be safe. Losing the Contest this year sucks so much and I thought this was a strong set of songs. On the bright side, we were given 41 songs to enjoy. I hope we still get ESC videos from you about pretty much anything Eurovision, past and present, because you are one of my favourite channels.
I'm devastated. I really hope they'll let participate next year the current participants (if they still want to, obviously) It would be nice to either keep their current song or let them present a new song. And each country would vote or like the internal selection would choose the song they think it's best ? Anyway, really hoping to see Gjon's tears, Little Big and Victoria back next year.
I‘m broken inside and words cannot describe how I feel currently. Damn Virus, you can do whatever you want, but do not take us our lovely Contest! Why? However I understand their decision, human health is right now way more important. I feel so so sorry for all the artists!🥺 We had many great songs and singers this year, the fact that they will not have a chance to deliver on stage and present their talent is so unfair! Personally, I want that everything stays the same for 2021, means: Same host city, same arena, same artists, songs can may be stay the same. The Netherlands waited so long for being Eurovision host again. Please don‘t take that from them too, they and all Eurovision fans already suffered enough. Now it‘s time to wait. And get prepared for hopefully the best Eurovision Song Contest ever in 2021! Love y‘all guys!❤️ We Eurovision Fans are ONE big family and nothing can stop us!!!
Really sad what has happened. I've been listening to "Fall from the sky" on repeat all day. I'm sure that's how it feels for all the fans and especially the artists, getting their wings held back when they are destined to fly on the Eurovision stage! 😢😢😢
ESC has always been a safe spot for me, when I've felt down I've always had that to look forward to. I totally understand the security of it all, and that it's impossible to host this enormous event in May. But I'm so devastated. My heart goes out to all the act who've thought in their NFs to represent their country and to my country's act The Mamas who I was really excited about seeing in this years ESC. Hope you're okay Alesia!
I'm also very sad. I'm a boy from Europe and I grew up with Eurovision, it's part of our lives every year and of course I was afraid this would happen. I can think how hard it is for you
Eurovision means a lot for us the eurofamily, and only a member of this family would understand this devastating feeling we are sharing right now. But, on the other hand there was a decision to make and I think it was the right one. Stay safe, regards from Uruguay 🇺🇾

It's really sad. Eurovision is something that has become super important and great for me. I never would have discovered the music i listen to today without esc. Love from 🇺🇸
I'm really sad as well. I was so looking forward to it. But even though I was _hoping_ that they would come up with a different solution I'm not surprised it got cancelled. There are so many people involved behind the stage that even excluding the Audience would not make a Contest possible right now due to the virus. Postpone it until later in the year is also difficult because there would be not much time left (for the new host country for example) to prepare for May 2021. and so on.. Still I hope they would make it possible for the artists to present themselves and their songs on one big stage (like it would have been at eurovision - just without the voting) after this Corona-Crisis is over and broadcast that show live. That would be awesome. The best thing is the party not the points

Yes, Alesia, please keep making the videos, rankings, whatever you like, I need this! I am heartbroken, I don't even know what to say...
A warm shower of kisses and hugs from Croatia! I really enjoy your channel and we will all miss you! I live in Pula it’s just a few miles from Italy and what there is going on is really like in a horror movie! Just imagine the only way to say good bye on of you familiar member by phone or Skype and see or just hear him dye and so on! The only important thing is to keep as and the people we are love save and healthy so that we can all together enjoy and celebrate the Eurovision next year! Thanks for all you have done for us and i can’t wait to see ya soon online! 😊
Don't be sad Alyssa now we stay together and go out stronger for the next year ❤❤❤
Love from France !
Them prices were CRAZY! CRAZY! They say the Nordics are expensive but the price tag on ESC2020 astronomical compared to ESC2016. (at least for me)
This is all just very, very sad.
Just choosing them as an example.
The roop had to win 2 semis and the final with a great song and was 2nd in the odds potential winner or Lithuanias best result ever now its cancelled it's a shame for them and all the other acts.
ESC Aerial: Another Eurovision Reaction Channel
Do we know for certain that The Mamas won't participte? If so how
Thanks Alesia! It is hard for us all. sending you big hugs and love!
We can also enjoy the 41 songs and not worry because "our favorite might not qualify"
And for the artists that get a new chance in 2021 we can hear their new songs and compare them them to 2020 which might give us 2 great songs instead of 1 in some cases.
So sad, have been watching Eurovision since I was a child and for the first time there will be no contest 🥺 Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
Alesia ❤️❤️❤️ We all united with pain and sorrow. Finger crossed for better days 😔
I really hope this years selections will participate next year, they deserve to be in Eurovision!
Joakim Edlund my country was doing really good so I hope so
Anonymous Person which is your country!
Joakim Edlund Iceland 🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
Samanta Tina worked to be in eurovision for 8 years 😞 I am sad for her
8*
I just got informed by your video and I had to check it on the internet too
Unfortunately you were right.
YES
OMG noooo
Sofia Nordlund Hopefully they can make an exception for this year
It is so sad! I feel for The Mamas.
Wth that's not fair
I feel you!! Hope you will still upload semi-finals reactions and predictions :)
Yes, go ahead with your content! I’m devastated, I look forward to the Eurovision Song Contest every year. It’s obviously not a decision that has been made lightly, but I think we are allowed to wallow in our collective sadness for a while. 🥺
I’m just so grateful for the fan base right now we’re lucky to have all the songs released already and so are still able to see content and have these simulations of what the song contest would’ve been ...
Saying that I am devastated since for a lot of us Eurovision is our favourite celebration of the year!!!
sending love from UK xxx
I respect your tears. I know its all coming out of true love and dedication to the contest. You've been a delight and you are so important to us as eurofans. Love you. Plz stay safe. Health care comes first♥️
Thankful to countries like Spain and The Netherlands who have already shown support and trust in the artists they internally selected by announcing that they will be the representatives in 2021. It shows the love those delegations have for the contest and their acts.
2019 is when I first get in to Eurovision.I was so excited to watch Eurovision for the first ever.We are all are Heartbroken that Eurovision was cancelled for 2020.😭
This is the saddest news I’ve heard in this entire year
Seriously?
WTF?
Fire in Australia, problems in Albania and many more ....
Luis Ochovo Muñoz really wild fires across Australia 🇦🇺 killing over 1 billion animals and destroying habitats wasn’t the saddest
Literally I never said I wasn’t sad about the fires
I feel the same way. As a fellow person from DC that does not know any other eurovision fans in real life, I loved this community on youtube and appreciate this channel so much. Thank you for continuing to make videos to keep the community going during this difficult time. I am so glad you were able to at least be at melfest and have some joy there
Awww girl It will be allright. We are her for you.♥️♥️♥️♥️
Love y'all.
We’re UNSTOPPABLE, i’m so sad and what’s going on in the world right now is just heartbreaking, we can handle this , tough times always unite us , STAY HEALTHY and STRONg.
Just for now pray for the world 🌍🖤🙏
honestly I'm in denial, I can't comprehend the fact that it isn't going to be on.
I appreciate you Alesia, from one American Eurovision fan to another. Lots of love from New York
Very sad but let’s hope to get through this as soon as possible and celebrate 2021!! All the best for all of us!! Alesia thanks for sharing your thoughts with us in such a moment!!
I love this. No, we don't have to agree. That isn't what this is about. :-)
Omg you made me cry!!! I love the way you love Eurovision! Kisses from 🇮🇱
We need to stay strong ❤️
Thank you for watching!
I Don’t care whether the songs will become outdated or not, let’s just make this contest happen in 2021 with a very long build-up and make it one of the greatest Eurovisions ever! 🤩
Oh this is going to UP the stakes for the Netherlands next year to put in a show that will be remembered and may redefine the Eurovision Song contest!
I hope at least the songs can perform next year...is so sad.. Even tho im not from europe i always look forward to watch this contest
hi, Alesia Michelle's I'm from dc as well and sending a virtual warm hug to you end everybody.
obviously, health comes first, and it's clear that this is the right thing to do, but still, for all the people in this ESC family bobble, many of us stuck at home with nothing to do this was the comment relife from all this terrible coronavirus breaking news we get every 10 minutes. I was looking forward to go to Rotterdam this may and meet many of you and sadly this will not happen this year. meanwhile, stay safe and healthy all of you and let's all pray that this crazy time will out of our life.
Oh sweet Alesia. I am also devastated!!!
We will miss your daily reactions and passion about ESC!
Absolutely devastated I’ve never missed one contest since 1993 when I was 9 years old I am heartbroken 😔 🇬🇧
As sad as I am about this, I just hope that next year eurovision will be held in the netherlands with the same artists and different songs. They diserve this
Many have already confirmed they would come back next year! Every delegation has to ask their singers to come back.
It would be the right thing to do for the artists, shame all of this year's songs will go to waste :(
All the best to you from Iceland
We 're all so sorry Alesia. No one expected this to actually happen. Eurovision is the highlight of the year for all of us. But i think we should all be patient for eurovision 2021 and thankful for at least having the chance to listen to the songs that were supposed to participate. Don't be sad! We want you to continue your amazing videos and share your opinions like nothing happened!
this is really a crazy time we are in - all together. all of the events that got cancelled were there to connect people with each other. i really understand, why they had to cancel it, but since l am also part of it, even just as a gf, i know so many people that worked their arsses of for this ..and now the decision has been made to cancel it. . i think this was a good desicion. it still hurts ofc. but knowing that there are so many people that will still support all the artist, that warms my heart. and l wanna thank y'all so much for this support. people, please be safe. stay at home and if you go outside, be awake!! remember that you shouldnt come close to others and just dont touch things etc. you know what you gotta do. guys i send all my love! you are amazing.. thank you!
I feel your pain!! Your not alone, please know that!
I'm just feel totally gutted. The first Eurovision in my home country. I was so looking forward to it.
It will be next year. We are all with you and hopefully it will be worth the wait
Love to you, Alesia!
Thank you. Love to you too.
@Rebecca Woolf True :/ As unfair as it may be...
I'm sad too and just want to give you a big hug! We will have next year and we can all talk here ❤️❤️❤️
I am so sad too! I have also cried, Alesia! I am sooooo depressed! The Mamas was my winner!
Thank you from 🇸🇪
Cmoon I'm sure next year is going to be the best edition ever!
I am devastated really....
😥 Alesia a kiss and a hug lots of love from Greece. Hope for health to everyone
I watch your videos more than once because even if I occasionally happen to disagree with what you are saying, I always enjoy them. BUT this is the only one I haven't managed to watch twice. It's so heart-breaking 😢
I was crying all day. I felt so devasteted. I just... I dont know. We all need to stay strong. And hope for the best. Love you all people. My eurovision lovers. 💗💗💗
Alesia, you are right. I was hoping for some kind of solution in this digital age too :(. And I still hope the participants of this year will be able to get their points....they deserve it. I just dont want to miss........ "i´ve got a new video, i´ve got a new video, i´ve got a new video"......
More and More Welcome in Rotterdam 2021🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱
I’m devastated!!! It’s hard to get through this decision but safety and health are first. May isn’t going to be the same 😭😭😭
You can listen to the songs on Spotify and do that to support the artists. Take care of each other.
