- hi friend.
Theresa has a new business idea.
i give her help.
always encourage new business owners to follow their heart.
wherever they end up its a good spot.
this life is about living.
too many people telling you to play it safe.
the safety zone = NPC destiny.
an NPC has the same "safe experiences" as everyone else.
that's not what we're about at the ecom soup factory.
go all the way.
#entrepreneur #ecom #copywriting
I'm a founder in the more tech side of startups (not ecom). I still watch your videos, they have been infinitely valuable, applying theses same concepts to our startup. All of this is so true, the secret to success is to get really good at defining the immediate next step in front of you. And of course, actually executing on that step. Rinse, repeat.
awesome man, happy to hear that. do you do SAAS or something else?
@@EcomSoup We're a marketplace for residential sublets in NYC. The way you talk about copywriting and growth has been really useful in how I think about distribution, product development and growth this last couple of months. (we're now growing 130% MoM)
NO ONE CAN HELP YOU! THE GAME IS THE GAME!
The irony in this is that, that was the help right there!!!
haha love that.
These videos are amazing. You've got me rethinking me entire content strategy. This is art.
thank you so much man!
Thank you for the great idea Theresa, i've contacted a supplier in Guangzhou, China. Hopefully we can make this a reality.
Lmao
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol mitch up to his old tricks
Really loved this video and felt like I had something to say... Started my copywriting journey a while ago, and been grinding since. When you said "Do I want to see what I'm made of or do I want to keep being a little bitch?" That resonated with me so well as this is my mindset right now. It's like fighting with myself between "continue working" and "I'll stop right here". But the answer so far has been the first one luckily as I always think about what's on the other side of this river I'm trying to cross. Thanks for the fantastic content by the way!
keep pushing! the battle is in our heads lol. glad it helped and happy you're liking the content.
Thanks for sharing man
It's truly crazy how people underestimate or don't grasp the cost of university courses. You're so right. If you want to truly learn about running a business, the experience of doing it, by failing at it, in most cases the best education.
100% - its weird to think 99% of harvard business graduates will never build a million dollar company.
there's a difference between memory retention and creative execution
felt this in my whole body. it's been more than a year since i started my business (and i haven't made it yet) but i just learned so much.
awesome man, keep on pushing until you break through
My personal advice for a complex product like this would be is to craft the very best customer avatar, like super nieche, and create ads and a landingpage for it. If nobody signs up for the waitlist, don't even bother creating a prototype. Can safe you a lot of money if you figure out if you actually got product market fit first
Not trying to be a smart a**, how do create ad, landing page, etc without a prototype?
@@heywhatsup2241 by not actually selling the product but just sign up to a waitlist. If you need images, you can let it be created in 3D, much cheaper than engeneering and stuff
interesting advice - i think it's hard to get product market fit when you're a rookie marketer.
so that's hard to hit a home run first go.
my advice is to use her team (engineer bf, fashion designer friend) to get a prototype up and see if the product she wants to make can be materialised for a feasible price.
then take the next steps
@@EcomSoup Doesn’t the heated jacket already exist?
Why choosing it? What is the reasoning behind the idea?
It was very trendy in dropshipping, still know 2 guys who make millions with it in winter.
I have been fearing to take this leapfor a while now...anytime I've ever felt like this before in life its ended with a huge win. Time to tap into that unwavering belief and just dive in! lets go brother...thank you and I'll keep you updated ps. I'm obsessed ...whisper it back
hahaha - can't wait to hear your updates man. congrats on jumping

Love it!
its an emotional roller coaster, like climbing Everest; its an extreme sport. It will create frustration, stress, and happiness. And faith is what will keep you pushing, that is why your videos do, helping the faith part ,
love to hear that! Keep climbing everest
Never be scared of telling people business ideas because it's 2 years of execution. Such a spot on point man.
amen!
I love the disparity, the 100m goal against the exploration of getting started with an idea.
haha yeah that is quite the disparity indeed!
another great video! Focus is everything in ecom, I realized.
It is simple but so deep at the same time haha
yeah 1000%
focus is everything in everything i think lol
Milwaukee fan here. Red Christmas and all.
Total tools have a sale on m12 heated jackets atm.
The battery feel bulky. Light on the logo is cool.
I think the main thing is going to be your battery system.
Michelle has a vest one you can borrow if you want.
Michelle would use it more if she remembered to charge the battery or if it was easier to charge.
I reckon for your first build you should mod a m12 jacket. This was you don’t catch old mate’s folding desk on fire.
haha thanks brother - trust your engineering brain to know the ins and outs of this product lol.
dont mention my desk again plz.
brb, getting "the game is the game" tattooed on my forehead
hahaha!
Just thanks for this chanel
it's my pleasure!
the game is the game
truth!
Man, this shit is so valuable I love it. If I am starting to test a drop-shipped product that is more complex and has huge benefits but are science backed. Is it crucial to create an advertorial or can I just create a solid product page on shopify? Also I feel like if I am running a simple static ad, a more complex landing page would be more of a necessity. Thanks as always🤙🏾
it all just depends on how quickly you can create desire and trust.
i know that sounds vague but that's really what you're trying to find out at all times. those are your two north stars to base all of your creative.
but the answer is nobody can truly tell you, they will be guessing. so its just up to you to test all your hunches.
Notification squad
Good of you😂😂😂
respek
🔥🔥🔥 that was good
thank you!
That’s a cool idea and a great video!
thanks Kiwi!
"The game is the game" 💪
The "flex" is actually true 😃
The master has failed many more times than the beginner.
amen brother!
All be along the ride through wave 3 and beyond. Cheers!
can't wait to see you there brother!
The idea is interesting, eventho i think it could be hard to manage product liability.
I guess it was just an example :D
PS: if it wasnt for the example id go with a low tech approach (at least my inner product designer hints at that)
yeah interesting, Theresa's bf is an engineer so i think they're going to go dream-team on it.
the game is the game. OG!
innit!
Thought he was Daniel Ricciardo
I was the 1995 bmx champion if it's any consolation
That heated jacket is already exist btw all you need to do is make it better quality and better design
And a better brand 😎
better quality, better design, better brand - the big three
Hi bro I have a question to ask you, I have been learn copywriting for like 10days and I love very bit of it I do some copy and learning stuff , But I can’t buy courses it very expensive for me , Can you give me a advice?
all the advice you need to start is on the channel brother, look inward
Hey David, what do you think is a good amount of email campaigns to send to your list per week?
I don't like to do more than 2 on average and 3 on a hectic week.
How hard did you find it at the start? im about 1y 10m into my ecom journey.. started with paid, really enjoyed it tbh, was fulfilling... obs stressful, just couldnt find a winner. Then went to organic (current stage), and it just isnt the same. Might of reached a burn out. Sooo many Ls, and barely any Ws... how im stil going, and the hunger is still there, i couldnt tell you haha... but i cant give up, jsut cant. Doesnt feel right, but equally... it has been so tough. How was your earlier days?
man - congrats on not giving up.
the game is only won by not giving up.
i failed for 5 years before i had any true success.
and i think it just comes down to analysing your failures, knowing why they happened and going into the next round with a smarter brain
@@EcomSoup interesting, 5 years? Wasn’t there any part of you thinking… it’s been X amount of time, nothings clicked, am I delusional? Like when is enough enough type shi
but isn't that an existing product? I've seen people dropshipping them
You can dropship, but you're further down the value tree and are essentially the marketing department of the producer/factory. The next step up the value chain would be adding your logo and customising the product for market differentiation, then you are in simple terms developing the product and also likely holding stock at 3PL, marketing efforts would start on brand building. Validate with sales and scale up operations to get that sweet $$$.
existing product yes, executed in her way no.
We’re so back!
was a long weekend lol
can I charge my jacket via USB Theresa?
haha
