Yes!!!! I have had a 3D 4K HDR OLED form that era, and they are phenomenal. The full resolution of the bluray is great, and the fact that it supports HDR helps as well. Even though 3D blu-rays are not HDR, the extra brightness capability helps compensate for the polarizers in the passive glasses. Thanks for posting this! For the record the LG "G" series was the "top of the line" back in 2016 when they stopped making 3D TV's. The LG OLED "G" series came in 55", 65" and 77" sizes. I own an OLED65G6P and and OLED77G6P. Both are very hard to find, I lucked out on both of them. Actually, yesterday I bought an OLED55E6P locally with pretty low usage hours. The picture quality of the "E" and "G" series is identical and match the best pictures of current OLED's, even now in 2024. I also own a 98" TCL 98R754, which matches the LG OLED's picture quality but, of course, you don't get 3D on anything past 2016. Lastly, I've watched many RUclips videos of people bashing 3D TV's. Well, in my opinion, LG perfected, P-E-R-F-E-C-T-E-D their 3D TV's back in 2016. I still prefer to watch an HD movie in 3D instead of 2D in 4K HDR, it is absolutely more impressive in 3D HD than in 4K with HDR.
Totally agree. 4K is great, 3D is better and some movies like Coraline if you haven't seen it on a 2016 LG OLED you really haven't seen it. Same with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.. Bet that OLED65G6P is amazing. I have the 55 curved version, I can do without that curve but the 3D is awesome.

You sure got a steal on yours. I just checked my tv and it only has 536 hours. It is a lot less then i thought.
I have an E6 65 inch with 11000+ hours and no burn in. By the time I purchased, I had heard about the burn in issues already and decided to take a chance anyway. I was proactive about burn in from the time I got it in 2017. I have done the clear panel noise twice since buying it and that has been it for two minor image issues that occurred with the quick menu on the bottom. Turned off and on prior but there was still a slight image (which you should try first before clearing panel noise. I tend to only watch it at night and if I know I'm going to fall asleep to a show or whatever, I set a timer for 1.5 hours as well as my receiver. I am still amazed at the colors and deep blacks. The only thing I think I have ever had issues with fast movement in movies sometimes has this weird ghosting, but its a small price to pay for the last OLED with true 3D and both component and composite inputs. I do remember paying 2600 dollars and feeling like this would be my last TV. It may not be and I will be looking at a new 70 inch for the bedroom at some point, but I may wait for MicroLED and see how that plays out. Thanks for pointing out the Dual Play feature. you were lucky that your 3d tv has a good quality polarizer. I bought mine "new old stock" recently and the left eye polarizer ghosts a lot. I can clearly see it in a simple top-bottom red-blue picture. I had to put it an an angle to achieve about 70-80% coverage of the screen. But that pretty much rules out any 3d games, and any deep 3D. Well, movies are Ok. But I am a bit disappointed and read that a lot of those LG screens were of such poor quality. No wonder the 3D was discontinued.
That is true for 1080P full HD panels. But for 4K panels, half the resolution is dedicated to one eye and the other half to the opposite eye. Each eye sees 1080P viewpoint .Each scan line or horizontal line is polarized in the opposite direction than the adjacent ones above and below it. LG uses FPR, or Film Patterned Retarder. A filter over the top that is perfectly lined up with the horizontal lines of resolution. One of the reasons they stopped using it is it reduces brightness somewhat. And in the brightness wars with LED backlit LCD they were trying to up the light output, and that was an easy way without having to change the panel tech from one year to the next. They can still claim brightness upgrade from one year to the next without having to do much in the way of advancing OLED tech. At least back in 2016/17 when they dropped it. After that, they had to do other things to improve brightness of OLED. It was a sacrifice they were willing to do and the trend was 3D wasn't being used much by consumers on their TVs that had the tech built in. I wish LG would include passive 3D on their top end TVs, it wouldn't be hard to add it back in, they had essentially got it perfected by 2016. The software is easy to implement too.

Thank you so much for making this. Please consider the following as well. Another fix for 3d gaming would be hdmis new support for true 120hz input signal. This means 60hz per eye which helps with headaches. I really wish LG would get back intl the 3d market with their passive technology so that I could game in 3d without a headset because I want to move using my keyboard and mouse and be able to look away from the screen.
I picked up a used lg oled c6 (55) 3D. It has some burn in, but it's alright. Those last couple years of lg 3D tv's are amazing. I've also added another 150 3D blu-rays to my collection.

My burn in only shows in certain scenes, and doesn't both me that much because the 3D quality is just so good. Also. For those who love 3d like me. There are 2 types of 3d effects. The pop up towards you effect. And the 3d pop inward effect. 95% of the people know only the 3d pop up towards the viewer. But . 95% of the people have no idea of the 3d effect that is inward. The inward effect has some popup.....yes. But is no that strong like the real pop up effect. The inward effect has both effects in equal levels. And that effect is like being your self looking outside by a window. Also. If you ever saw 3D using the view master toy of the 60s. The inward effect is 100% like the view master toy of the 60s. Get a view master toy with a couple discs for 20 dollars in ebay. Once you see the image on the viwmaster toy.....that is 100% exactly.....let me say it again. You will see exactly like that view master toy on a TV that has that inward 3d effect. MAGNIFICENT !!! 4K IN FULL 3D HDR INWARD GLORY.
I bought 65" 1080p LG cinema tv led from and older gentleman off craigslist this year for $125 it looks great, no the 4k oled but I'll take it still great for watching 3d movies.
Found this today, on the very day we get rid of our LG65E6V. We'll miss the incredible 3D but the panel is buggered, so much burn in and streaky marks, its dying slowly, would never buy another OLED again. Replaced it with a TCL855k 75", which will replace it in about an hour on the wall. Great video though sir, i hope your TV lasts years for you. I'll miss Coraline, Pacific Rim, Gravity the most. Only got £100 for it, paid £2700 in 2017.
man i WISH i could have gotten this TV or similar one, my LG 1080p 3D TV is amazing as it is, but that quality drop isnt great. playing Halo in 3D though was epic
I just bought that exact model and I was lucky the TV was as new. The previous owner didn't even know it was a 3d tv. It was a dream came true. Personally I favoured that model over the one in the video, it's burn free so more adapted to games and monitor use. Oled might have better blacks but that's not a good trade off
lucky; but i believe you could have gotten a better viewing experience for the same cost; by getting a mini 3d projector with a 100 inch screen. this is the route im going to go now.

The best 3D experiences I had with games was at silent hill downpour, and the game changes from water to wine when in 3D, motorstorm 3D rift, God of war ghost of sparta from the God of war collection, cod Black ops 2 ( Xbox 360 version) because the ps3 version sucks... the graphics are very blurry in the ps3 version... gears of war 3, Gran turismo 5( but you have to know how to calibrate to reduce crosstalk... I had a good experience too with the PC using the Tridef program in the FarCry 3 game and some others.
Hey bud , I’m a 3D enthusiast too !! Nice to meet you. I have a few 3D videos I’ve uploaded of Warcraft . I’d love to have a conversation with you some time .
Why are tv companies slowing down technology, 8k tvs with very few programs , 3d tvs that you have to wear glasses . We should be using holographic tvs by now . Companies telling you need super bright tvs when you don't need it. HDR content doesn't even have any industry standards, so content will vary in picture quality, they always make you think you'll need a better tv . What's with updates on tv , again companies forcing you to buy tvs every 5 years or so as they'll stop updates . The whole industry is a con .
To be honest with the newer TV's if they have 3D i think i will be amazing Many new TV's are 4k and have big size that means even if it's half the resolution i will be amazing to watch To be honest I don't think I have ever watch true 3D for sure I have watch the 2 color one but thach about it 😢
Smartphones are so fast and all of them mostly are oled with 12 bit color depth and insane refreshrates, from 120 to some 144hz oled displays. Why cant they get an active shutter glasses with bluetooth to get 3d video on a smartphone? im not buying vr headsets they are stupid expensive. we could watch 3d everywhere now a days with smartphones which are our primary media consumption device.
Vr headsets are not expensive at all for everything they do...and smart phones can't do 3d so that's a mute point. Vr is the cheapest and easiest way to watch 3d content
I thought passive 3d was the kind that you see depth and active 3d with shutter glasses was the kind that popped out of the screen--so if this is a passive TV, do you lose out on images popping out of the screen?
Def not, that’s incorrect. Passive is the best I’ve ever seen 3d. And I have an active projector and ps3 tv that was also active. The technology and how they worked is what passive versus active is like I described in the video. But def nothing to do with less pop out.
They charge more for less features now.. I'm not buying any smart TVs till they put 3d feature Back and make them lighter than 10 pounds..what's the point of a 80 inch TV if you can't wall mount it by yourself?? I already seen how it's going to be eventually a rollable bendable Flexible 4k OLED screen with a separate HDMI box Thinner than smartphones.. The panels they sell now are old panels with new microchips I guess I have to outsource to China to expedite new technology.
this is bullshit. the only ones available are $2000 or more. wanna know why it failed. this is why. you probably paid 5k for that tv. enjoy it. you're like 1 in a 100,000 now.
Don’t know what you’re so angry about lmao. I paid 800$ for mine locally. But even if it was 2000$ it would be worth it to me either way. Not like people don’t buy 2000$ tvs. Dont know what the price of a tv from 2017 being sold for now has to do with “why it failed” lol. The tv is expensive now because it’s sought after and hard to find in good condition and people know it’s one of the best 3dtvs you can get
yeah; after doing a lot of searching online. ill just stick with finding a "3d projector" with 3d playback capability. reason i was angry is because i found a sony BDP-S5100 3d bluray player at goodwill for 10 dollars LOL. so then i was like. I WANNA SEE 3D! then i go on ebay and amazon and find diddly squat. either broken or for parts; and if it is a good tv; its all "LOCAL PICKUP" in california or florida LOL. i aint driving 2000 miles for 250 dollar tv. so yes, i was angry when i couldn't find anything. can't believe that even a model from 2016 is pretty much non existent now.@@UrGamingTechie

Juat just found one on offer up for 800 but dont think it comes with a controller or glasses
What's the actual model number of the TV you're reviewing?
Can you share the set up
I picked up a used lg oled c6 (55) 3D. It has some burn in, but it's alright.
Those last couple years of lg 3D tv's are amazing. I've also added another 150 3D blu-rays to my collection.
whats a good price for a used oled c6?
@@JukoDowId pay up to 2000k for a C6 with no burn in. (Actually id maybe even pay a bit more if it was like seriously no burn in). Occasionally I've seen tvs go for under 1k, but not lately)
If it has burn in like mine does,, well I payed 1200. My burn in only shows in certain scenes, and doesn't both me that much because the 3D quality is just so good. I mean yah, burn in sucks, but the immersive experience of these TVs in 3D are just too good to not watch, even with burn in.
Thats why I recommend the TV even if it has some burn in. It's just so good.
Strange - everywhere i see (when i choose my 3D TV samsung in 2014) that active glasses is better and more expensive than passive
I still don't get it why they dropped 3D on TVs. Its not that it takes a special panel, it is just a software issue in the chip, so why drop it? LG, Sony, Samsung, NVIDIA, bring 3D back!!!
Que modelo es ? Y de cuántas pulgadas...
i am thinking to get one. any suggestion? which one is good? since 3D tv is no longer in the market. but better get it fast before running out. can switch between 2d? or have to be 3d format? i using 3D all-in-one pc. read some about acer has automatic 2d to 3d funtion. so is that mean can directly plug in TV box instead of turn on the pc only for converting
This is the best one to get and is my suggestion if you can find one….
My 3d oled LG has no burn in. Bought it new and balance my content
Congrats man
Do you need nvidia glasses and emitter for Universal fix games and geo11 games? Any 3d glasses work without nvidia emitter?
No nvidia emitter needed for those as long as you have a tv like mine that supports sbs or tab modes or interlaced
No tiene dual play ?
I have burn-in on mine, and it just crapped out on me
Dam sorry to hear that
I bought 65" 1080p LG cinema tv led from and older gentleman off craigslist this year for $125 it looks great, no the 4k oled but I'll take it still great for watching 3d movies.
Might be the best as far as television tech can give. I use projection but I wouldn’t mind owning something like this to 😆 😂.
Only got £100 for it, paid £2700 in 2017.
keep in mind OLEDs of today def have way less burn in issues not like those in 2017. The new LG OLED do very well now a days
man i WISH i could have gotten this TV or similar one, my LG 1080p 3D TV is amazing as it is, but that quality drop isnt great. playing Halo in 3D though was epic
I still have my 4k Oled 3D 55" LG TV and there is no burn in.
Just found LG 49uh850v used for $160. Thinking of buying it but would really have loved the 3d Oled :/.
I just bought that exact model and I was lucky the TV was as new. The previous owner didn't even know it was a 3d tv. It was a dream came true. Personally I favoured that model over the one in the video, it's burn free so more adapted to games and monitor use. Oled might have better blacks but that's not a good trade off
Just bought a second hand 55E6V in perfect state for 400 euros. Waouwww 3D is juste amazing. Best buy for long !
lucky; but i believe you could have gotten a better viewing experience for the same cost; by getting a mini 3d projector with a 100 inch screen. this is the route im going to go now.
@@ChickenMcThiccken man , you are speaking about the best 3dtv ever made even more comfortable than any vr and its simple easy to use to enjoy 3d , projector need conditions to enjoy you know that ,
this 3d tv support passive glass when you use it you will forget the glasses, the contrast , the black , the motion is amazing with this 3d tv , full hd for each eye this is amazing , i bought one 65inch with burn-in , the green color problem for 200$ , i swear if i have chance ready to buy another one without any problem even if its for $3000,its not about the cost , this model become more rare every day because its better than anything today for 3d contains ,
i know lot of people didn't care about 3d tv , but after watching what this can do they start to hunt them silently,
@@chopinhoven i found an excellent 3d projector ; its $549. benq th575 i believe
Man ur lucky to have that tv!
For sure am
Hey bud , I’m a 3D enthusiast too !! Nice to meet you. I have a few 3D videos I’ve uploaded of Warcraft . I’d love to have a conversation with you some time .
Que modelo de tv es ?
It says it right in the title
Why are tv companies slowing down technology, 8k tvs with very few programs , 3d tvs that you have to wear glasses . We should be using holographic tvs by now . Companies telling you need super bright tvs when you don't need it. HDR content doesn't even have any industry standards, so content will vary in picture quality, they always make you think you'll need a better tv . What's with updates on tv , again companies forcing you to buy tvs every 5 years or so as they'll stop updates . The whole industry is a con .
Is this a 4k TV?
Yes…
it is so stupid that companies stopped 3d. now a days oleds with active 3d glases will be so fucking insane with 12 or 10 bit color.
I’ll give $8 for it plus $5 shipping cost
Sure…right now
@@UrGamingTechie I still have my 49” LG 3D. No wonder a co worker offered me $500 for it
To be honest with the newer TV's if they have 3D i think i will be amazing
Many new TV's are 4k and have big size that means even if it's half the resolution i will be amazing to watch
To be honest I don't think I have ever watch true 3D for sure I have watch the 2 color one but thach about it 😢
Oh that’s horrible that tv messed up man
👍🏼
Smartphones are so fast and all of them mostly are oled with 12 bit color depth and insane refreshrates, from 120 to some 144hz oled displays. Why cant they get an active shutter glasses with bluetooth to get 3d video on a smartphone? im not buying vr headsets they are stupid expensive. we could watch 3d everywhere now a days with smartphones which are our primary media consumption device.
Vr headsets are not expensive at all for everything they do...and smart phones can't do 3d so that's a mute point. Vr is the cheapest and easiest way to watch 3d content
Wanna sell it
I got the LG OLED G65 65" with around 2k hours and perfect screen. I'm in L.A. you can have it for four grand.
still have 3d tv for sell
I thought passive 3d was the kind that you see depth and active 3d with shutter glasses was the kind that popped out of the screen--so if this is a passive TV, do you lose out on images popping out of the screen?
Def not, that’s incorrect. Passive is the best I’ve ever seen 3d. And I have an active projector and ps3 tv that was also active. The technology and how they worked is what passive versus active is like I described in the video. But def nothing to do with less pop out.
@@UrGamingTechie oh ok thank you - I have an old Vizio passive 3d and always thought I was missing out without active
They charge more for less features now..
I'm not buying any smart TVs till they put 3d feature
Back and make them lighter than 10 pounds..what's the point of a 80 inch TV if you can't wall mount it by yourself??
I already seen how it's going to be eventually a rollable bendable
Flexible 4k OLED screen with a separate HDMI box
Thinner than smartphones..
The panels they sell now are old panels with new microchips
I guess I have to outsource to China to expedite new technology.
I from iraq Sell this tv for me to ship i support america
this is bullshit. the only ones available are $2000 or more. wanna know why it failed. this is why. you probably paid 5k for that tv. enjoy it. you're like 1 in a 100,000 now.
@@UrGamingTechie its the best not one of the best sir 🌹.
Samsung better
no its not!! , especially not in 3d I have multiple 3d TVs from Sony, Samsung and passive LG OLED 4K and a Sony VW675 3D projector. the LG passive 3D OLED beats them all .
