All mastering usually brings the peak volume up to 0db or very close to it, but rarely over it. You may have true peaks pass, but usually only .1 at most.
@@DowdenProductionAcademy Thanks for the fast reply. So I'm guessing they bring the perceived loudness higher through saturation or compression. That could explain it.
