This video is ridiculously good. I have played with many of these technologies for years and have some kind of feel for what they do, but this video has made me connect the dots on so many things. I feel like I gained a new understanding of what each of these things do on a technical level. The way you put the effects into context by showing how you can achieve the same thing in multiple ways was what really made it click for me. Thanks so much, you deserve a lot more views and subscribers.
Your comment makes me very happy, this is exactly why I made this series of videos. I saw a lot of tutorials that gave a sense of how to use each effect, but none really explained in details what they do. So I made this series to try and connect all the dots.

This sure is very condensed. Seeing this all for the first time must feel like reading a dictionary. Take your time, don't hesitate to try stuff yourself between each chapter, and don't hesitate to come back to this video from time to time. It will become clearer with each sitting
THANK YOU for making this. It re-enforces what I already know about and has taught me some new stuff as well. I hope you have a something that’s making you a decent income (even music-related)!
Thanks a lot! I've actually been approached to sell video trainings. The deal wasn't done because I said that for the moment, I wanted all my video courses to be accessible for free. I must be a very bad businessman :p
Even for me that reads various books about this, this video truly show it in a whole different light that really sparks tons of ideas in your head. Props!
It is, been making music and having my own studio since 20 years now. But sometimes you're so used to using a phaser for x reason, that you kinda forget it can do much more.
I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for your course. I came in here trying to figure out how the heck to use my Vital synth so I can try making some EDM for the first time and left with answers for how to use practically any VST and a bunch of other questions I'd been stuck on for a long time (completely random things like why bitcrushers sounded like garbage on my instruments when I was looking to make chiptune or what certain knobs do). Definitely gonna take a while for this all to stick in my brain, but I genuinely feel like I've gotten the equivalent of a sound design degree out of this. Thank you so, so much! This is probably the single most engaging, informative, and generally useful video I've seen in years!
Thanks! Happy that it helps connect the dots. Keep in mind this is only the theory. The practice is what helps retain all this knowledge, so the best thing to do next is explore! Good luck! :p
I can't believe that something this well-done is free. I should be paying for this, but since I'm unemployed I really appreciate not having to. This is an astonishing video and I'm grateful that you put it out into the world.

Having you as a single teacher who explained things simply and well really helped me solidify what I knew and didn't know about music production. I took a few days to watch the whole video and I actually understand what I'm doing in synthesizers and Ableton and why.
This was an amazing video. Thanks for putting it all together. It's probably the best beginner video for understanding how sound in music production works
Thank you for this video. I learnt so much! After this video i have a much better understanding of compressors which always seemed like a black box to me before this video.
Thanks for this, I'm a solo dev and have already developed some level of skill in animation, programming, and all those other things but I haven't even touched the sound design part of things yet..this should help a bunch!
Oh this should get you everything you need to start yeah. At least to understand any other tutorial that show you how to make X type of sound. If you're a dev for 8-bit/16-bit-type games, do you know rFXgen or jsfxr ? Those are 8-bit sound generators, I know it's used for gamejams to make quick sound effects, may be fun to try :)

Thanks for your contribution ! Thanks god there are people give for free own knowledge. Thanks a lot mate! The content is very useful for me I’m restarting again with music production!
Good luck with your music production, I hope you have a lot of fun :)
It is really impressive how you cover this complex topics in a such a short time, altho as a begginer i feel overwhelmed since its alot of new information. ill save it for later once i got a higher knowledge. Thanks.
Who needs to pay hundreds of Bucks, Euros, £’s etc for Sound Design Courses when there are people like yourself who do it from the kindness of their heart? I hope you have a something that’s making you a decent income (even music-related)!
Thanks a lot! I've actually been approached to sell video trainings. The deal wasn't done because I said that for the moment, I wanted all my video courses to be accessible for free. I must be a very bad businessman :p
Best video youtube ever recommended to me. Thanks
Even for me that reads various books about this, this video truly show it in a whole different light that really sparks tons of ideas in your head. Props!
So glad it is useful for user of many different levels
It is, been making music and having my own studio since 20 years now. But sometimes you're so used to using a phaser for x reason, that you kinda forget it can do much more.
nice and dense information delivered with good lucid energy . . I will be watching this again
Brilliant content covering the most basic principles, which i had little knowledge of as a hobbyist, thank you
I can't even begin to express how thankful I am for your course.
Good luck! :p
Probably the best video I've seen on YT ever in terms of value for time spent watching. Thanks!
I can't believe that something this well-done is free. I should be paying for this, but since I'm unemployed I really appreciate not having to. This is an astonishing video and I'm grateful that you put it out into the world.
Haha, you're welcome. Enjoy! I'm happy this video finds people interested in those subjects. I guess that's my way to thank the internet for all the things I learnt there for free ;)
Thank you for taking the time to make all these videos in put it all in one course. Having you as a single teacher who explained things simply and well really helped me solidify what I knew and didn't know about music production. I took a few days to watch the whole video and I actually understand what I'm doing in synthesizers and Ableton and why.
So cool, that's amazing :) thanks!
Thank you so so much for this... this is what I was looking for... for I don't know how many years now. I love you!
I guess we were looking for the same thing. In the end, I had to make it :p
thank You awesome video course. im making music & audio since 18 years ago but its good to refresh the learning.
Thanks! You're welcome ^^
This was an amazing video. Thanks for putting it all together. It's probably the best beginner video for understanding how sound in music production works
Thanks! I hope this helps as many people as possible getting more confortable with music production
Why is this so underrated???
Well, you found it :D
wow, this is ALL I ever needed haha. Thank you SO MUCH man, you can't believe how thankful I am!
Wow man. This is one of the most polished presentations I’ve ever seen on the subject… REALLY well done! Thanks for all your hard work on this.
Can’t believe I’m watching this for free! huge sheers to you man, you do amazing job! 👍❤
Thanks a lot :)
Those are 8-bit sound generators, I know it's used for gamejams to make quick sound effects, may be fun to try :)
it really works. ive got other softwares but there is nothing as simple and easy to use as this one. thank you bro! subscribed and liked this.
what a video! pure condensed knowledge. thank you so much.
It's the best compressor explanation I have ever seen, very useful information 🖤
Where have you been all my life? I should have known this information many years ago, explained to me like this.
Glad you found it then! And glad you liked it
