I sent Barrie an e mail thanking him for his music a couple year’s before he died , he responded and thanked me for being a fan . Class act , he was the best ! Wish I could have met him in person .
So sad to learn of Barrie's passing today, one of the great front men. RIP
What a complete blast!
Kickin AZZ
It's amazing that he can still sing the song like this what...thirty years later? Rippin'!!
40
great! sends me back to 77!
Guitar solo masterclass!
Barrie didn't die, he just ran out of rocket fuel ! Get Out of Denver has to be one of the hardest songs lyrically to perform. Not only do the lines not repeat (outside of the chorus), but you have to have the timing of your vocal delivery just right. You mess up on one line it wreaks havoc on the rest.
This is fucking EPIC! R.I.P. Barry.
yep it's amazing,my favorite bass man
oct 2016, 40 years on still a great track
Rip-snortin' rock-n-roll ... that's how you do it.
great band, great song. at Fuse Central 500 Broadway NYC that single was played constantly.
4 Epic guitar solos at the most colossal speed, especially the bloke on the right, as viewed from the audience. Barrie said "Richard Beaumont", I thought. Staggering playing - from both of 'em. Shame the cameraman didn't know where to be for the fourth solo.
Plus a bit more at the end. Superb. What a rocket ship!
Incredibly difficult to sing all those lyrics at that pace. Not so young as he used to be. Couldn't blame him, being a wee bit breathless at the close.
Splendid.
Best rendition out there, for my money.
I disagree. The other guitarist had much better control and tone. Stunning performance from all concerned though.
Fender Tele, my favourite instrument. Kick it around, drop it and it doesn't lose a note.
Damn, they were rockin!
Can't wait to see them live in Helsinki 27.11. !! Thanks for posting!
still class
Bas player on top !!!
a great nite
PH Mitchell on bass !!!
Phil Mitchell class since 1960 something!
How it should be done.
Hay Barry haven't seen you for time
Fastest version ever. Brits beat the yanks at their own game luvlyjubbly
Not quite....a tad faster than the original, but the dropped melodies on the vocals, lack of correct pitch and intonation, all contribute to it being a less effective cover....the music was good, but the vocals sucked.
@@davidschmidt6013 dont get punk then.....do ya mr perfect.....and you could do better...at the age of 60....fuck off...
That's Phil Mitchell from Dr Feelgood playing bass
Sooty Tailpipes Ha! Needs Paul Grey!
Get 'em out of here!
:D
Sure in a hurry to get out. On a speedway
It would appear that rather than have a live audience for this studio film they decided to use tailor’s dummies instead !
Andrew Arthur Matthews - Tailor's dummies would probably be more animated.
red hot... get outta denver...
I still like Bob Seeger’s version better
Nah
Hell no, Blues Travelers did a much better job! The harmonica made it wail!
This is horrible
Remember being at the marquee in about 76/77 when they made an ep with this on it ....I think Dave Higgs was the axe man for the band
SORRY...BUT i THINK THEY RUINED THE SONG
Leave it to bob seger or dave edmunds
Zip it ya twat,
